I have pale asian skin that doesn't really tan (burns first then tans a little) and this gives me a natural looking tan. I absolutely love this!!!!
I received a sample of this. At first, I adored the smell! I love citrusy scents. But after a while, the smell was too strong and become a little irritating (almost like a lemon scented bathroom cleanser). The product is a very nice and thick cream. Not easy to spread but great for elbows, knees, cuticles, etc. I wouldn't use it as a hand cream though. It's a little greasy too. I guess it's because of the oils in it. I don't find it that moisturizing either, especially once it sinks in and no longer greasy. I don't think I'll be getting this.
I am surprised. Clinique has always been too basic and drying for my tastes but when I started breaking out, nothing seemed to work (e.g. Ole Hendriksen, etc.) so I turned back to this and I am loving it. It lathers up well and removes all oil and impurities without being drying. Mind you, I have oily skin and don't mind that this takes all oils off my skin because after a few hours, my skin has produced it's own natural oils again. I wouldn't recommend this for those with dry skin though. But for those with oily skin - this makes me feel clean and seems to be working with my acne. Also, love the packaging. The pump gives you full control on how much product you want to dispense. Another plus - it's only $20 CAD! Update - Okay, after a while, this product stopped working for me. It doesn't seem to clean well enough... When done, I'm going to look for something stronger.

This is a very gentle cleaner. Consistency is like a watery gel that doesn't foam. Application is nice as it gives a minty tingly feeling and my face feels clean but definitely not stripped. Also, the pump gives you full control on how much product you want to dispense. However, this is not for those with oily skin as it does nothing to control oil production or remove the excess oil. This would be perfect for those with dry and acne prone skin. For my oily skin, this didn't work and I have since switched to Clinique's liquid facial soap mild.
Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Sweet Mint

I got sucked into buying this due to its unique packaging. The sphere just looks so inticing. I knew nothing about the hype that this product has when I bought it. The actual lip balm itself it alright. It's not the most moisturizing but it does an okay job. It's not long lasting at all but it's an excuse to apply again (since the application process itself is so enjoyable). I agree with other reviewers that it seems to just sit on top instead of infusing my lips with moisture. I love the flavor. It's like candy cane with a hint of chocolate and it even tastes good. It makes my lips comfortable and the mint gives the feeling of relief when my lips are dry. There are two reasons why I would buy again - I love the tingy mint feeling it gives and I love the applicator. Other than that - I would buy something else as there are better lip balms out there.... My all time favorite is Blistex DCT! Btw... I'm curious to know if this balm goes only half way or if it goes all the way to the bottom...
Hands down the best moisturizer for oily skin. It moisturizes well and keeps your skin hydrated without making it feel greasy or oily, even after 12 hours of wear. I have oily skin that feels greasy and oily by mid-day but when I used this moisturizer, I don't get that greasy/oily feeling at all. It keeps me feeling like I just washed and moisturized my skin throughout the day and into the night. Plus it has SPF 15! I've used Ole Hendriksen's Sheer Transformation, Khiels' Ultra Moisturizer with and without SPF 15, Murad's Oil-Control Mattifer, Caudalie's Matte Moisturizing Fluid, and many more but this outperforms all of them! No wonder it got a rave review from Allure. I do have one negative thing to say about this moisturizer - I think it is misnamed. It's not a "matte" moisturizer as it does impart a slight glow to the skin. This might be the reason for the low reviews as people trying this moisturizer are looking for something that gives a matte finish. But if you are looking for a moisturizer for oily skin, this works!

I used this for about a week and this made my face feel oily/greasy. I didn't like the feeling of wearing this. Also it left some of my skin looking dry and peeling looking (even after I exfoliated).
Cleansers -Origins - Zero Oil Deep Pore Cleanser with Saw Palmetto and Mint

Wow, this really takes of all the oil (any at all) from your skin. I think it's a bit too harsh for my combination/oily skin. I don't think I will be purchasing this. It also left my skin blotchy red - although I don't know if it is the cleanser or something else. It's not a bad product (it wasn't too drying), just too strong for me.
Cleansers -Ole Henriksen - African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser

I like this cleanser. Some people found that it dried them out but I found it was the perfect balance for my combination/oily skin. It left my skin comfortable and didn't strip the oil away yet gently cleansed my skin. The bonus was the smell - I love the smell. It's refreshing and delicious. The packaging is great too. One pump was just enough. Sometimes I use half a pump too and the pump is easy to control. The negatives are - you go through this cleanser fast since it is very liquidy and it's a foam pumper. In a few weeks, I had already used up quite a bit. I will repurchase though. It's a great product. I switched from Fresh's Gentle cleanser to this because I found Fresh wasn't removing the excess oil from my oily skin. And Ole's did!
Love love love the smell! Love the application too (spray and mists on your face). However, it left my skin shiny and a little greasy and a tad sticky (but not uncomfortably so... only slighty). Problem is - I have oily skin so this didn't work for me...
Moisturizers -Ole Henriksen - Truth Creme Advanced Hydration

I got a sample of this and am quite impressed. I have oily/combination skin and this doesn't make my skin greasy at all but hydrates amazingly! I have to say Ole Hendriksen does great moisturizers. I am currently using Sheer Transformation for the summer but I think I'm going to buy a jar of this when winter comes around!
There are things I liked about this mask but it in no way is worth the price. It's a very emollient gel with rose bits. When applied, there is a nice cooling effect and the gel calms the skin. After removal, your skin is left feeling comfortable and moist. Cons - It is not worth the price tag. There are no long lasting benefits. It's more of a sensation mask. It gives a nice sensation upon application.
Skincare - Face -Ole Henriksen - Sheer Transformation Creme

After using this cream for over 1 month, I'm starting to feel it is a little bit too heavy for me as I got greasy by the afternoon. Plus it didn't do anything for my breakouts and doesn't have SPF which would be nice. I switched to B Kamins Matte Moisturizer with SPF15 which I am loving! It cured my oily skin and I get no more breakouts now. Don't get me wrong, Sheer Transformation is a good moisturizer but not the best for oily skin.
Amazing product but messy to use. I made a mess on the bathroom counter... I think it's worth it to pay the extra $ for the one in the tube. It's hassle free! It's the same product but mixed with rosewater...
Scrubs -Fresh - Sugar Face Polish with Strawberries
riyeu 12/2/2011 9:49:00 PM
By far the BEST exfoliating scrub I've ever tried!!! Smells amazing. Like sugared strawberries. I actually tasted it and sad to say the smell doesn't translate into your mouth. Anyway... It gets rid of all (and I mean all) my white heads with ease and leaves my face moisturized. I don't need to moisturize after using this scrub. I am not that easily convinced but this is a keeper! The price is steep but in my opinion, worth it. Better than scrubbing endlessly with those other scrubs to get less than half the effect of this scrub!
