Skincare - Face -La Roche Posay - Thermal Spring Water
rite2coz 9/26/2011 8:55:00 PM
After my irritation from one of my skin product that i've used, I have to stop using toner, but i have oily skin, so I needed something to refresh my face after wash. I've went to Duane Reade, and the beauty adviser suggested me to use Avene Thermal Water Spray. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me at all, not only it didn't calm my redness, I feel that I react to it a little, cause my face turn more red everytime i spray it to my face. SO i went back to DR, and purchased La Roche Posay. I spray it to my face as soon as I purchased it, and it calms my face right away. And after using it for a few days (2x daily after wash), my redness has reduced. I also bought a carry on size, and whenever I feel itching on my face, I just spray it and right away it calms my face. I've been using it for two weeks, and I see good result on this....................

I really want to like this spray, as I see so much great reviews, and even the beauty adviser at Duane Reade would recommend this over La Roche Posay and Vichy. So i've bought the carry on size, and the large size to use. I started testing out the carry on size at the same time i have irritation from some skin products that I've used. My face continued to be red after using it for a few day (i use it as toner as wash). And i just thought that my redness has to do with the irritation that I'm trying to recover from. But then i realized i started to have a little burning feeling everytime right away i spray it to my face. So I went back to DR and returned the large size which i never even use, and I've switched to La Roche Posay, I feel this one calms my face well, everytime i feel itching on my face, I spray it, then it calms me right away, and after using it for few days, my redness has reduced.......YES!

Sunscreen -Eucerin - Daily Protection Moisturizing Face Lotion - Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen - 4.0 FL. OZ. 118mL
rite2coz 9/25/2011 3:01:00 PM
I started using this after I react to Cetaphil Daily Lotion with SPF 50 which I have been using it for over a year after i diagnosed with rosacea, and this was recommended by my derm. I have to find a replacement, and after several online search, and reading the reviews I decided to give this a try. I've been using it for over 2 weeks, and so far so good. It is even better then Cetaphil. Is lighter, and it contains zinc oxide, and Titanium Dioxide which is good for people to use with rosacea as sunscreen. I'm glad that i find this as replacement, and I hope for those who is using and/or thinking to use it, GOOD LUCK! Update 11/13/11: I finally stopped using it last week because I start to realize that this clog my pore, and also it seems like making my rosacea worst, now I m back to square one on looking for another sunscreen that I can use.

A big NO NO NO for someone with sensitive skin with rosacea. I tried this product after reading very good reviews about it. At first I only apply it to my forehead and nose (whenever i try new skin products, i will first test it out on my forehead and nose). I couldn't handle the smell of it, but I thought if it works, I can by-pass it. After using it twice on my forehead and nose, I found it that my face over all feel very sensitive, I didn't relate it to this product, so I started to apply it to the side of my face on the 3rd and 4th time using it...........then my face started to break out badly with zits, rashes, red bumps...........then I realized it might be this. I guess everybody's skin is unique, so maybe is just me that i have extremely sensitive skin with rosacea that cannot accept this product. I went back and returned it. Good luck with the rest of you using this product.

Moisturizers -H20 - Face Oasis

I have been using it for years, and I love this moisturizer a lot. It does a good job on controlling my oily, and it hydrates my skin well. I can use it year round. And even when i was diagnosed with rosacea last year, i still manage to use it. However, a few months ago, i had this crazy break outs (unknown causes), and my doc asked me to use steroid cream. At first it works well, however after i use it for a month, it worsen my rosacea, and evern since i become more sensitive. Later, I searched online and found something call "steroid induced rosacea". I have to stop using everything i use on a daily basis as they either stopped working for me and/or irritated my skin. I really hate to see myself stop using this as i have been using it for a long time. I'm only using the basic items now recommended by my derm along with Finacea to clear the redness, red bumps, and pimple. I'm using Cerave Hydrating Cleanser, and the lotion. It wells pretty well, and they calm my face, and also soft it. It clears almost 80% of the symptoms I had from my outbreak. Thank god I only use steroid cream for a month, no like using it for a long term, so the issues i had from this induced rosacea will go away in few months. I hope when my face is clear again, at calm, and under control, i can go back to use this again. For those who has rosacea, should never try anything with steroid. Update 11/13/11: I tried going back to use this product as I found that cerave lotion really clogs my pore, but it no longer works for me as my skin no longer like it. Thank god I found another moisturizer that is similar to this and works on my skin which is clinique moisture surge.

I started using FTE 3 years ago. My skin improved a lot after the month, and continue to get better. And even I was diagnosed with mild rosacea last year, it didn't stop me using, and I think it sort of help my rosacea under control. I've been telling my friends that I have rosacea, and none of them believe it as I do not see any symptoms such like redness, red bumps, etc. My face just look like normal. However, until a few months ago I had this crazy break outs (unknown reason), my doc asked me to use steroid cream. At first it was okay, but after a month using it, it worsen my rosacea (for those who has rosacea, please don't use anything contain steroid). Later, i searched online and found something called "steroid induced rosacea". And ever since, my face become very sensitive, and I have to stop using everything I use on a daily basis, and switch to something basic, and gentle, including this FTE. I really hate to see that I have to stop using it, as it gives me VERY GOOD result. My pore is less visible, even out my skin tone, and my face is more bright and fresh. Thank god I only use the steroid for only a month, and I read online that the situation should not be as serious as for someone using it for a long term, so it should go away in a few months. I'm using something very basic now while recovering from this, which is Cerave hydrating cleanser and lotion, and La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water as toner. I recommended the FTE to my face who is suffering from sudden break outs, with large pores. She said after using it for two weeks, it reduces the amount of break outs, and make her pore smaller. Oh, for those who use it on cotton pad, I find it more effective using it on your hand and pat it to your face. I really hope I can go back to use it soon..............

Moisturizers -Cerave - Moisturizing Lotion

I started to use Clinique Redness Solution for over a year after I was diagnosed with Rosacea. I have luck using Clinique, helping to calm my redness, but since a few months ago, I had this out break with unknown reason then my doc asked me to use steroid cream. It was better at first, then after a month it worsen my rosacea. Later, i searched online and found this called "steroid induced rosacea". Ever since, my skin become more sensitive, and everything I have been using for my skin either stopped working, or a bit irritated to my face. I had to change my entire skin care products, and when i went to visit my derm, she asked me to use Finacea for the rashes, redness, bumps, and pimple caused by steroid (for anyone that has rosacea, please do not use anything that contain steroid). And she recommended me to use Cerave cleanser and lotion. I've been using both now, and find it really helps to calm my face, and soft my skin. All the problems I initially had are almost gone, with very few bumps, and some redness. The only reason I took out one lip is because I find it clog my pore a little, but there is nothing i can't accept, I just have to find a gentle toner to help the situation, because this lotion and the cleanser really keep my condition at calm, and good. I hope it works well for you all as well....................good luck! For those who had mild rosacea, and not as sensitive skin, I also recommend to try Clinique Redness Solution moisturizer only (I didn't like the rest of the line). It helps to calm the redness on my face for only using it once a day. I can't use it in the morning as my skin is oily, and I can only use gel moisturizer which I use H2O Plus Oasis Hydrating Gel.Update 11/13/11: I've stopped using this lotion along with the cleanser after I can no longer tolerate how much they clog my pore. I guess they are better for people with dry skin, and/or no visible pore on their face, but definitely not for me with oily, visible pore.

I started to use Cerave after it is recommended to me by my derm. I have been using Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser for over a year after I was diagnosed with Rosacea. Sunscreen -Cetaphil - UVA/UVB Defense Facial Moisturizer SPF 50
rite2coz 9/25/2011 2:03:00 PM
I have started to use this about a year ago when i was diagnosed with rosacea. My derm told me that I have to use sunscreen daily, and she recommended me to use this. I like the texture of it, and yes it make your face white, but that is what l like about it since my face is red with rosacea. And I like it that is a pump container. I have luck with it for over the year until I had a crazy break out (from unknown reason), and my doc asked me to use steroid cream. It did at first cleared my break outs, but after using it for a month, it worsen my rosacea, even I only use it only on the spot where I had my break outs. Later i searched online and found something called "steroid induced rosacea". Ever since my skin become more sensitive, and whatever i've been using daily on my face either no longer works, and/or react to it. This moisturizer is one of them that irritated my skin a bit, I feel itchy and red. Not just this, I had to change my entire skin products that I'm using. I starting to use Cerave Hydrating Cleanser, and Lotion, so far so good. And I find a replacement sunscreen to Eucerin SPF 30 for sensitive skin. I find it better than Cetaphil, is very light and blend into my face fast. I'm happy with Eucerin now, and don't think will ever come back to Cetaphil again.

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser (Normal to Oily Skin)
rite2coz 9/25/2011 1:51:00 PM
I have been using the Gentle Skin Cleanser for about year, since I was diagnosed with Rosacea. I have my rosacea under control along with using Clean & Clear Deep Action Cleanser for sensitive skin. However, about a few months ago, I started to break out really bad (unknown causes), and my doctor asked me to use steroid cream. It was better at first, but after using it for a month it worsen my rosacea. I've searched online and found something called "steroid induced rosacea". I think that is what happen to me, and for those who has rosacea, no matter how bad your skin situation is, never use anything that contain steroid. Even since my face becomes more sensitive, and i have to deal with these red bumps on my face. I went back to my derm, and she asked me to use Finacea (to clear the redness, red bumps, and pimples). It has been really helping me so far, but at the same time I feel like Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and Clean & Clear cleanser stopped working for me. Also the Cetaphil lotion with SPF 50 that I've been using for over a year also stopped working for me, and also causing a bit irritation to my face. But I still like Cetaphil a lot, so I thought maybe I can try using the other cleanser that they have for Normal to Oily Skin since I have oily skin. I started to use it for the first time last night, and when I wake up this morning.............bad bad bad......I broke out like crazy with zits and red bumps..........then I realized on my last visit to my derm, she gave me some samples of Cerave Hydrating cleanser and lotion. She said it works the same like Cetaphil if I ever want to try something different. Thank god I kept the samples, after washing my face with Cerave, it calms my face a lot, and 70% of my redness are gone, specially after I applied the lotion. I will continue to use it for a few more days before I put up my reviews for Cerave cleanser & Lotion.

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser
rite2coz 9/25/2011 1:38:00 PM
I have been using this cleanser for about a year after I was diagnose with Rosacea. This cleanser was recommended to me by my dermatology to use. I use it in combination with Clean & Clear deep action cleaning for sensitive skin, because I also have large pore and needed something for the deep cleansing function. I have luck with the combination until a few months ago that I have crazy break-outs (unknown causes), and my doctor asked me to use steroid cream. At first my break out is clearing until I"ve used the steroid for about a month later, I realized it worsen my rosacea (I wasn't even using a lot, more like on the spot where I have the break-outs. I searched around, and realized there is a term called "steroid induced rosacea". And i think that is what happen to me now, and ever since my face has become more sensitive, and I had to stop using Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and also I have to change the entire line of my skin care products. I didn't have much luck find the "right product" for me. I've been using Cerave Hydrating Cleanser, along with Cerave lotion (try to keep it simple until I'm fully recover/or at least to the point where my bumps, and rosacea is under control). Is much better now using Cerave, along with Finacea (external face treatment for rosacea). But after a few months of using Cerave, i find it clog my pore a little, and hoping to go back to Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser as it never clogs my pore (or maybe because I was also using Clean & Clear back then which it helps). I started to use Cetaphil again but this time I react to it badly, after using it twice, it causes me to break out badly..........I guess ever since I have this so call "steroid induced rosacea", it is just making my skin much more sensitive...............I will now just stay with Cerave, and to look for a very gentle toner to help minimize my pore.........Thanks for reading my long story.......

Skincare - Face -Neutrogena - Liquid Neutrogena facial cleansing formula fragrance free
rite2coz 9/25/2011 1:26:00 PM
A big NO NO NO for people with sensitive, irritated skin with rosacea. I bought this product a few days ago after reading good reviews about this product that I wanted to use for deep cleansing. A lot of the reviews said is gentle/safe to use for sensitive skin, but I guess is also because my skin is irritated.......I started to use it on Friday night, and I agree with a lot of other reviewer that even it said is Fragrance-Free, but it does have a strong smell. I feel that if it works, I can by-pass the smells. When I wake up in the morning, I realized I break out with zits, and red bumps, I never had a zits on my eye-lid which that never ever happened in my life. I had to stop using it, and go back to my Cerave Hydrating Cleanser. I've been using Cerave Hydrating Cleanser since my irritation due to reaction to an external face medication. This cleanser is very good, but after using it for like a month, I start to realize it clog my pore, so hoping to find a different cleanser to use at night for deep cleansing purpose...........but I guess I didn't have luck this time.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Finacea Gel
rite2coz 8/24/2011 8:22:00 PM
I have Rosacea, and my skin is oily/sensitive. I got this from my derm about a month ago for part of my Rosacea treatment. I didn't really see the result until about a week ago. I find it is more effective if you apply it after you wash your face, and before you put on your moisturizer. I just started doing it, and at the same result I see the result coming. The redness is going away, and my face doesn't flush after I get out of shower in the morning. A little goes along the way, so don't apply a lot of it to your face.............I'm so glad that it is working for me. I almost give it up at first as I didn't see any result, I'm glad that I didn't. For anyone else using it, I hope it works for you, and you need to give it sometime to see the real result.............GOOD LUCK! Update 11/13/11: I've stopped using it after two months as not only it stops working for me, and also making my rosacea worst. I m trying to treat my rosacea naturally now and I sure hope my face/skin will go back to normal after the damage I got from using this gel.
