Cleansers -Avene - Cleanance soapless gel cleanser for oily skin
riri92000 4/13/2013 7:18:00 AM
I've been using this for a couple of months now and I'm not quite sure I like it, as a cleanser that is. It's a little bit drying for everyday use, it leaves my skin very tight and flaking around my brows, temple, cheeks and mouth. But, this is completly AMAZING in the shower it's probably better than any peeling product I've ever tried. I don't know how but this cleans out your pores like no ones buisness if used like I do in the shower. First I wait until I'm almost entirely done with my shower and then while stile running how water I massage this into my skin, it feels like silk and starts to foam a little and then you will feel the grit and junk leaving your pores and start to buildup between your fingers, rinse your hands and repeat. Nothing and I truly mean NOTHING is this succesful at cleaning out my pores and considering this feels so soft and great at the same time without any harsh, grains and beads I get absolutly in awe about how this is miles better than any other peeling I've ever tried. No more harsh scrubbing this is my new holy grail peeling. Oh, I use the one for oily, blemish-prone skin. ******Edit******* Have been using this product for a couple of months now and I'm sad to say that the "peeling effect" it once had on my skin has now decreased. It doesn't cleanse like it used to even though I've tried doubling and tripling the amount of product. I have no idea why but I'm quite sad about, I quess it was to good to be true.

Moisturizers -Chanel - Hydramax Cream
riri92000 4/13/2013 6:53:00 AM
I have very acneprone skin with large pores, and lots of congestion and comedones on my forhead, temples and cheekbones. Yet I was still prompted to try this cream by a chanel saleslady. She was compleatly raving about this product saying that my skin was totally dried out and needed lots of moisture instead of drying acne products. She did have a point, I've been more succesful combating my acne with mild, moisturizing products combared to harsh drying ones. However this isn't the cream for this purpose. While this Chanel moisturizer is pretty good at hydrating your skin, it still contains lots of skin irritants that are completly useless like lots of fragrance, dye and chemicals. These components only managed to aggrevate my acne which is a shame since I feel like this cream could have been very nurturing if left without those redundant ingredients. Did not do much for me as my skin came out +/- from hydrated radiant skin, but aggrevated, red pimples that just got worse the further i used this cream and refused to go away. Oh, and the price is outrageous considering what ingredients you're paying for.

Fragrances -Gucci - Flora Gucci Gorgeous Gardenia

I am completely and madly head over heels with this fragrance! I haven't bought this yet so maybe I should refrain from writing a review but I have sprayed it on in quite generous amounts on several occasions and the result after each time is me sniffing my wrists like a madwoman until it fades. I'm really bad at describing scents and to be honest I don't even know what most of the notes are supposed to smell like. But I can tell you the scents I don't pickup on. First of all the pear is really non-existant to my nose, and luckily so since I deteste everything pear especially the synthetic kind you find in fragrances. I also wouldn't describe this scent as sugary, sweet yes but my mind doesn't go to sugar more like fruit. The floral part is beautifully done and very light. It brings my mind to white flowers maybe light pinkish ones which I adore because it gives the scent a very feminine touch without becoming old and headache inducing which most florals do. The overall impression is quite sweet, fruity and summery yet not overly so like say the Escada summer perfumes. It's sweet and succulent and also refreshing more like a summer garden full of ripe fruits and flowers during nightfall when the air begins to cool then a tropical beach under a soaring sun. It's just the perfect fragrance and even some of my male friends that hate almost all perfumes really like this! This review actually prompted me to order it even with the steep price and I can't wait for my new Holy Grail perfume to arrive!

Mascara -NYX - NYX Doll Eye Mascara- Long Lash
riri92000 2/9/2012 1:59:00 PM
I think this is a nice mascara but I was a bit let down after reading the reviews. PROS: You get really long and full lashes. Amazing curl. Nice formula that coats the lashes and therefor giving the illusion of longer lashes. Works really nice on lower lashes. Definite "doll effect". Good brush that allows for nice shaping. Cheap price. CONS: The curl does not hold very well. The initial result starts to wear down after a couple of hours and you end up with messy lashes. You wold think the "coating" texture would make it easy to remove since the product would just "slide off", instead it's a real hassle to get off and I've been losing alot of lashes in the process. Fallout after a couple of hours. Overall, not for me but would recommend f you like the Lancome Hypnose since this is a dupe that in my opinion works better than the original.

Makeup Brushes -Bare Escentuals - Flawless Application Face Brush
riri92000 2/9/2012 1:47:00 PM
I have both this brush and the kabuki but the quality is the same and I think the review I wrote one kabuki applies to this one too. Absolutley worst brush ever! And for the price I paid it's simply outrageous. I hate everything about it, from the way it applies, the shape and the bristles. It applies really patchy and I have to use about 3x times the amount of product compared to a regular brush because the product "falls down" into the brush and doesn't stay on the top part of the bristles. This means that I have to add more and more product to get any results. Even my cheap blush brush does a way better job. The bristles are a nightmare! They are really harsh and sharp and irritate my skin, it hurts and my skin often stays red for a long time after applying. I sometimes avoid using my mineral makeup just because of this brush. I hate the BE brushes to the extent that I threw all of them in the thrash the second I bought a new ones.

Mascara -Lancome - Hypnose

I hate this mascara! Apart from the truly horrible smell that lingers all day it does nothing for my lashes. I find the brush to be completley worthless and I wen't back to my old drugstore mascara after giving it a week. I tried to be patient and was hoping that maybey I needed to master an application technique, and during the whole week I tried a new one each day but my old drugstore beat this one by miles each day. I'm still using it on my lower lashes since I feel bad for throwing away a 30$ mascara. And I'm quite fond of it on the lower lashes, cause I have the longest lower lashes and this brush that's basically a cheap comb works good since the formula "encases" my lashes and therefor it's alot easier to wash off at night. But it's nothing that my normal mascara couldn't do and again it complete waste of money on my upper lashes. Would not recommend this to anyone and I'm quite surprised about the postive reviews, but I guess everyone has diffirent lashes.

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Love Spell Midnight

Hate this scent! I really had high expectations on this one and bought it even though I don't live in the US. It cost me 20 dollars in total and I have to say that buying it before smelling it was a BIG mistake. It smells really syntethic and chemical, like something you would use to mop your floor with. I can not even smell the faintest whiff of vanilla. My nose only catches a really horrible, nauseating, cheap, floral-ish smell and strangley something sour. Eww, I'm really upset that I spent 20 $ on this only to throw it in the garbage bin because all of my friends seem to share my opinion.
