Cleansers -Garnier - Skin Renew 3 Way Cleanser

At first I loved this product because the kaolin clay was so mattifying and pore minimizing. This product left my oily skin matte for hours. However, there are two major problems with it: 1) The large quantities of menthol and peppermint extract are VERY irritating to the skin. 2) This doesn't remove makeup, doesn't foam up, leaves a film, and ultimately, broke me out. Disappointing.

I thought I had found my HG (oil-controlling and brightening) but this breaks me out. Must be the Myristic acid.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Panoxyl 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Bar

Burns and irritates beyond belief. Skin became super dry. Certainly not for sensitive skin. Why use ultra strong 10% bp when 2.5% is proven just as effective?

Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Moisturizing Lotion

Thought I loved it, because of how emollient and gentle it was. Wrong. Broke me out. Must be the Cetearyl Alcohol and Ceteareth-20 combination. Also, greasy and not-so-attractive packaging.

Cleansers -LUSH - Angels on Bare Skin

Seems to suit sensitive/dehydrated, dry-normal skin types much better. My skin is oily to very oily and this doesn't do the job. It doesn't clean my skin properly and surely doesn't exfoliate. It definitely doesn't remove makeup for me. I have found that if I use this on already clean skin, it does make my skin soft and moisturized. This is a good cleanser for those with dehydrated skin.

Powders -Unlisted Brand - Mattify! Cosmetics - Mattify! Loose Powder for Oily Skin
rated 5 of 5

HG loose powder. If you have super oily skin, BUY this! This has 6 oil absorbing ingredients compared to other powders which usually contain no more than 2, even the HD ones. Mattify Ultra uses Kaolin Clay, Cornstarch, Rice Powder, Silica Microspheres, and Titanium Dioxide. I use it before and after MMU and it works awesome.

Foundations -Unlisted Brand - Lucy Minerals Foundation
rated 5 of 5

Lucy oil control minerals actually stay on all day. Better yet, it matches, has great coverage, is water resistant, and looks like skin. It also washes off like a dream. This is very close to a miracle! I'm an nc15-20 and I match to cream, but pale olive is good for my winter skin. The OCS and OCC formulas are pure awesomeness for very oily skin.

Powder -Meow Cosmetics - Flawless Feline Mineral Foundation

At my sweatiest and oiliest, my fndt only requires a light touch up. Better yet, it matches, has great coverage, is water resistant, and looks like skin. It also washes off like a dream. As for color matching, it can be very confusing, but once you find your match/matches, it's worth the nearly exact match. I'm an nc15-20 and I match frisky korat/chartreux.

BB Cream -Dr. Jart+ - Rejuvenating Silver Label BB Cream SPF 30

Matches nc20-25. Too dark for my nc15 skin. Great coverage. Very soothing. Dewy finish. Lasts pretty long, but not that long for me, b/c I have really oily skin. I still prefer it to most liquid fndts out there. Does require double cleansing.

Silky feel, minimizes skin imperfections, and makes foundation look great (but not for long). Broke me out. Typical silicone-based primer...

Moisturizers -Estee Lauder - Clear Difference Oil-Control Hydrator
rated 3 of 5
rimmela 4/24/2011 12:59:00 PM

Not really a moisturizer, but more like a mattifier. Sucks at hydrating. Dries skin out more in the long run. Requires a lot because it absorbs super fast.

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear
rated 2 of 5
rimmela 4/24/2011 12:41:00 PM

This is much like the Revlon CS. Looks mask-like, heavy, and overly matte on my skin. Doesn't do well with pores. I get the strawberry nose effect with this, and can't even touch it up without it getting all splotchy. Doesn't even control oil that well. No good color match for my nc15 skin. Prefer the max coverage over this...
