Cleansers -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash

I just stopped using Proactiv (worst thing ever, avoid at all costs) and after a week off that I switched over to this. I realize this is oil free and is harsh, but I figured it would be less harsh than Proactiv. Usually for a "purge" period I give my skin a week to two weeks to accustom itself with a new product. This made my skin dry on my cheeks, breakout on my forehead and chin, and my blackheads on my nose got WORSE. I was using it with a moisturizer made by neutrogena, so I figured it should work together. Absolutely not. I'm just getting my skin back to normal. I paid about 13.99 for this, and regret it a lot!

Cleansers -Philosophy - Purity Made Simple (Real Purity Cleanser)

I had read about this in an edition of Cosmo earlier this year. I purchased the 8 oz. bottle at first from Sephora for $15 (sale, usually 20). When I first started using it, I expected it to foam, so when it did not i just squeezed more into my hand. Do not do this. Just use a nickel sized amount and spread evenly over your face and then wash normally. I didn't notice anything over night, but I didn't experience the "purge" that my skin normally did when I started a new skin cleanser. After 3 days, my dark spots from previous pimples had faded and my skin was softer. It took me about 1 month and a bit to go through the bottle, but I do lead an active lifestyle so some days I wash washing three times a day. I highly recommend this and regret ever stopping using it.
