Bronzers -BeneFit Cosmetics - HOOLA
ricerice 12/5/2012 12:12:00 PM
Great for contouring. No shimmer, not a 'bronze' colour, just a good shade to add depth to my face. The colour is perfect for my light-medium, yellow undertoned skin. Looks very natural. The only thing i dont like about this is the packaging. Cardboard box, bulky. Not my thing at all. But I would definitely repurchase if I ran out.

Skincare - Face -La Roche Posay - Thermal Spring Water
ricerice 10/16/2012 8:36:00 PM
I used to think thermal water sprays were a waste of money. But after using this I am officially a convert. This actually made a big difference to my skin and when I don't use it, I can tell because my skin will lack that extra something that makes it look so much healthier. I use this as a moisturiser after cleansing and it gives me just enough moisture without leaving my skin dry or too oily. It calms my sensitive and easily irritated skin. Also on the bottle it says that it has natural anti oxidants, which is a bonus for me! I live in France and this costs me around 5 euros for the largest bottle. I am more than happy to pay for this can of 'water' and will continue using this as long as it is still available.

Treatments -La Roche Posay - Effaclar Duo
ricerice 10/16/2012 8:31:00 PM
This product didn't work on me at all. Im actually a user of BP so i'm not sure why this didn't work for me. This actually irritated my skin and clog it up more. It is also heavily scented and had a very 'silicon-y' texture to it. I wish it did work for me like it did for so many others but unfortunately my skin just didn't like it.

Scrubs -MAC - Volcanic Ash Exfoliator
ricerice 10/16/2012 8:27:00 PM
This product basically feels like scratchy sugar with black colouring and too much fragrance. You could easily get the same effect by using sugar and some olive oil. I wouldn't buy it again because I don't think it's worth the money. It's also a very messy product to use because of it's colour. By the way, a chemical exfoliator would be much better than this because this may cause harm to your skin because of its scratchiness.

Masks -MAC - Volcanic ash Thermal Mask
ricerice 10/16/2012 8:22:00 PM
This product was fun to use just because it heats up. It's kinda gimmicky in my opinion. It doesn't really do anything for my skin. It made no difference at all. I should have saved my money and just bought some french green clay mask which works so much better and for way less money too!

Lip Treatments -Eucerin - Lip Aktiv
ricerice 10/16/2012 8:18:00 PM
Unfortunately this lip balm just didn't do it for me. It didn't do a good job moisturising my lips and it didn't keep my lips moisturised. This still sits in my bag because I don't like throwing things out especially when it's still brand new. I'll use it when I run out of my other lip balms or if i've lost them and have no choice but to use this.

Mascara -Make Up For Ever - Smoky Lash Extra Black Mascara
ricerice 10/16/2012 8:13:00 PM
I love how dark this mascara is. It definitely makes my eyelashes stand out. It could get clumpy and this mascara is definitely not the most smooth and natural looking one out there but I dont mind that look. It doesnt flake off or smudge during the day so I don't need to worry about my mascara running down my face at all (which is VERY important to me because I work 12 hour days in a busy kitchen). I also love that this doesn't have one of those annoying fat mascara brushes (like covergirl's lash blast). I'll definitely be repurchasing.

Treatments -Kerastase - Oleo-Relax Serum
ricerice 10/16/2012 8:08:00 PM
This leaves my hair feeling softer, smoother and looks a lot more healthier. It doesn't feel too heavy or oily which is something very hard to find in a treatment. I love this product, if I want my hair to look silky straight, this is the product I use. I usually use this on dry hair. I took a lippie off because the packaging sucks. I travel very often and eventhough I turn the pump into the lock position, it still somehow leaks. I now always wrap this separately in a plastic bag. I would buy this again but I don't think it would be any time soon since one bottle will last ages!

Shampoo -John Frieda - Anytime Volume Refresher
ricerice 10/16/2012 8:01:00 PM
I've gone through a few cans of this product already. Which isn't exactly a good thing because it doesn't seem like I get very many use out of this. apart from how little product there is in one can, I actually really like this dry shampoo. It's the best I've tried. It absorbs any access oil and gives you volume that lasts for a few good hours. It doesn't leave a white powdery residue either. If this product was cheaper or if there was actually more product in each bottle, I would probably buy it more often. At the moment I swap between this and the tresemme one, saving this for special occasions or when my hair is in need of a lot of volume.

Lotions/ Creams -La Roche Posay - Lipikar Lipid-Replenishing Body Emollient
ricerice 10/16/2012 7:50:00 PM
I used to only use this on my body but I've recently started using it on my face too and it works wonderfully. For a long time i was not using any moisturiser on my face at all because everything I used broke me out. But one day my skin developed an allergic reaction to something I was using and I had no choice but to slather this on my face in attempts to sooth my extremely irritated skin, hoping that it wont break me out. And luckily it didn't! I'm so glad I finally found a moisturiser that I can use on both my face and body. The price of this product is very reasonable too. I bought two large pump bottles for 21 euros. I'm already on my second bottle and I'm sure i will continue using this for awhile.

Lipstick -Yves Saint Laurent - Rouge Pur Shine #33 Wild Blackberry
ricerice 4/6/2011 11:22:00 AM
I love this lipstick. For a little while, it was the only lipstick I would go for, just because it was perfect for winter. In the tube, it looks a scary and intimidating black burgundy shade but when applied on the lips, it makes my lips look berry stained. I like that the texture is like a lip gloss without any form of gooeyness. It has more of a texture of a lip stain than a lipstick. The pigment is quite strong but it can be blended out with your fingers to give a stained effect. Definitely repurchase when I run out.

Lipstick -Yves Saint Laurent - Rouge Pur Shine #32 Frozen Mango
ricerice 4/6/2011 11:12:00 AM
I hate to be the first one to give this a less than 5 star review, but it just didn't work for me. I love the color of the lipstick in the tube but on my lips it just looks like clear lipgloss. That's not all that bad if not for the fact that it emphasizes even the slightest bit of flakiness on my lips. I love looking at the lipstick and I like it on my vanity, but that's about it.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational - Born With It
ricerice 4/4/2011 9:11:00 AM
Looks great in the tube but applies a totally different colour! This lipstick looked like a cheap shimmery mess on my lips. I have warm undertones and this is too cool toned for me. There were also way too many white shimmers through the lipstick and it just reminded me of those cheap makeup you play with as a kid. I can see it working for people with cool undertones but sadly it just wasn't for me. I regret buying it purely based on how it looked like in the tube, it's my fault, I should have swatched it.

Skincare - Body -Bio Oil - All Products
ricerice 9/18/2010 6:28:00 AM
I used this in the past on my face in hopes that it will even out my skin tone. It didn't. It didn't provide any moisture, my skin was left feeling dry after cleansing and it clogged my pores. i got tiny clogged pores under my skin after using this, so i just threw it out. If i'm not mistaken, there's mineral oil in this product, which is probably why it congested my skin. Not buying this again.

Blush -MAC - Sheertone Blush in Peaches
ricerice 9/18/2010 6:02:00 AM
This blush seems to be so underrated but it's my absolutely favorite go-to blush. I was after a peachy blush without too much pink tones in it and the sales lady recommended this. I didn't really use it all that much when i got it about a year ago, but that was probably because i was using the wrong brush. I now use a duo fiber brush and it goes on perfectly, this blush can be easily layered and doesn't take much to blend out, just a few swipes and you're done! In terms of the colour, it actually is a peach coloured blush, unlike other blushes that claim to be peach but in fact have too much pink in it. You'd think this blush is only good for summer but i've been using it all winter, so go figure. I've been using this nearly everyday for the last 5 months (all my other blushes must feel very lonely, and the only times i used other blushes was when i forced myself to. So yes i would definitely buy this again! it's just so easy to use and is appropriate for every occasion.
