Gives me headaches, and also my boyfriend. I believe is a perfum you can wear and like but will get over it after a bottle or two.

Liquid -Lancome - Teint Idole ULTRA [DISCONTINUED]

This foundation is perfect. It`s amaging. First of all let me say that i used to have a predjudice agaisnt Lancome makeup. I always thought it lacked the allure of luxury high end brands, with it`s simple packages and all... Anyway this foundation IS BETTER THEN DIOR`S, ARMANI`S AND YSL`S FOUNDATIONS. The coverage: is light/medium to medium, and can be layered a bit without looking cakey or heavy. It covers somewhat like Dior Forever, but looks more natural and feels lighter. The texture: that`s the silkiest foundation i tried. Shapping Designer cream by Armani is extreamelly confortable but this one stays put longer. It`s just leaves a soft touch to the face. It doesn`t feel heavy either. But they recommend to shake the bottle before usage, and i think it`s wise (foundatins, even the best ones do tend to separate) Staying power: very satisfactory. I feel that it would never ever hold 14 hours specially in Brazil`s north east coast weather, but this one doens`t wears off bad. I think satying power is simlar to Dior airflash and Forever. THIS ONE DOESN`T SETTLE INTO PORES, AT ALL!!! Not even after 6hours. I hage an issue with my pores, and with this foundation i forget about them. YSL perfect brush also hides pores wonderfully, and it feels lighter in the face (but with lighter coverage as well) This is onw of the best if not the best foundation i have ever used. My colouring: I`m MAC NC25, YSL # blond, Dior Linen, Dior Airflash 200, Giorgio Armani 5, Lancome Idole Ultra 01 Beige Albatre (anyon knows the american closest shade to the european beige albatre?)

Fragrances -Chanel - Chance
renijp 2/25/2010 10:01:00 PM
Chance, Coco Mademoiselle and Allure Sensulle are the youngest frangrances of Chanel, and Chance particularlly targets the younger crowns ( few years back Chanel invested massively in the 20+ earlly 30s women). Curiouslly enought, those 3 fragrances smells almost the same. I and every woman who tried then and specially that have worn at least can see the similarities. Even my boyfriend (nethelless to say guys don`t pay that much attention to it) remarked that the new Allure Sensulle i tryed on saturday was just like the Coco Mademoiselle i was using on the previous friday, and he didn`t knew what i was wearing. Well, Chance is the youngest of those 3 but it`s not fruity, girly, sweet. It`s light and warm at the same time, i`ts sexy in a sassy way and is nice to use. Last long on me. It`s a good fragrance. One thing about Chanel perfumes is that they are undeniably well made. They have some depth and complexity and the end result is always a chic and distintive smell. Unfortunatlly a lot of big names are producing a very cheap, overpowering, sweet and uncomplex perfumes; it`s not the case with Chanel.

This is a very good perfume. It`s sexy, and warm and sultry and it`s not powdery or overpowering. It`s also a very very very easilly recognisable fragrance. That said, it`s also an 80`s or so fragrance. I used to use it from 19 to 21 years ols, but it`s a more womanlly perfume. It`s stilla very good perfume, but I have worn it for so long that i don t want it anymore or ever again.

It`s a floral and powdery scent. It`s light and suitable for daywear and very easilly recognisable. It`s not a sexy frangrance. I have a full botle unused. I don`t like this version. I liked the pink bottle one.

Concealers -Christian Dior - Hydrating Concealer [DISCONTINUED]
renijp 2/5/2010 11:47:00 PM
I`ve been regularly using this concealer for a year and i still have some left (i can`t see how much i have left because of the complete opaque package). IT LAST FOREVER, so IT`S ECONOMICAL. Let me put this way: I have simply forgotten that undereye concealers tend to crease and settle into fine lines (and very often encreasing their appearence)!!! This one does not!!! It has very good coverage (racoon dark circles here), doens`t leave a blueish cast, it NEVER EVER SETLE INTO FINE LINES (unless a use a ounce at once without blending) and never looks fake. It brightens up just a tiny bit (it`s not its purpose), the finish is natural, dewey and beautiful. It`s one of the best, if not the best undereyeconcealer out there. And really really worth the money. It`s way better then buying to MACs. This IS hydrating, wich is excelent for the eye area, and never broke me out or gave me millia. But i would never use over a pimple, or a blemish caused by oiliness because i think it might agravate it. That said I have combination and very very very acne prone to bad face makeup and this one never caused me a slightest blemish. (i`ve been suffering with the brazilians foundations right now and having 2 to3 small zit popping out per day - i miss my YSL, Dior, Armani and Lancome foundations...)

Liquid -Sisley - Oil Free Fluid Foundation
renijp 12/15/2009 12:17:00 AM
When i used this foundation (sample) my skin was clear because i have just finished my acid peeling a couple of moths before, and i want`s taking any sun for the last 70 days as well because i was recovering from a surgery at home. At that time, I had a balaned skin and just a light hiperpigmentation on the left cheek bone (genetic). The foundation itself: Texture: it`s indeed the most lightweight i encountered, almost watery. Finish: that was my problem with it. I wasn`t matte, or illuminating, or dewey, or youthfull or anything. It was just plain. Did enhance my skin or my look in absolutelly nothing. Coverage: even with a good skin, that very light hiperpigmentation showed up. Lasting power: it doens last. Althought i was in a cold, dry weather with the oils at bay, i think it would endure properlly a summer weather too. My problem with it: it`s not even the light coverage, it`s just this plain finish. It doen`st make up look a bit better.

Liquid -Christian Dior - DiorSkin Forever Extreme Wear Flawless Makeup SPF
renijp 12/14/2009 11:51:00 PM
This is a very good foundation, that unfortunatelly doens`t agree with my skin. Texture: it`s runny but it covers incredibly, as others have mentioned. You can feel it a bit on the face, it`s not like airflash that leaves a feeling of wearing nothing, but its not unconfortable or anything, just a bit of makeup. Still the skin is soft at touch. Coverage: medium, medium plus i`d say. Can definetlly be builded for full, and i don`t need a concealer with this (and i have major dark circles). Finish: matte, but not dull. Lasting power: well, it stays, and doenst budge. So, it needs proper cleasing, but i find that regular facial washers would do the job, it doens`t necesserelly requires oil to disolve it. Shade selection: very good at US market, more limited in european that doen`t carry the 021 linen at leans towards pink colours. I find that for PPP people, then the choices are limited. My problem with it: I don`t have a sensitive skin but I have a particular problem with alcahool in facial products and deodorants, and this foundation breaks me out in just a few hours of usage, so... After 3 hours, the first painfull pimple shows up at the forehead, 2 more would come if i insist, and then probablly on the chin, so, i have to wash it off. Something similar happens to Airflash - at the end of a 5hrs night i can already feel a pimple comming out, and then 2 or 3 more would come out the next day but I still risk using it because it`s excelent for parties and events. My colouring: MAC NC 25, Dior 021 Linen, Airflash 200, YLS #2 blond or #4 sand (prefer blond), GA Designer Shaping cream #5

Liquid -Mary Kay - Medium Coverage Foundation
renijp 9/12/2009 10:19:00 PM
I dont like this foundation at all, but still use it anyways, when i don`t want to unecesserelly spend my expensive foundations (i.e. to go to the grossery store or go give my classes). Pros of this foundations: - trully gives medium coverage with a very thin layer of product. - gives a matt finish that doens`t require powders, and i have never ever used foundation without powder before (combo skin in a tropical brazilian north east coast weather here) Cons: - I can`t get passed this thick, cakey texture. - With this foundation the skin looks and feels like I have a zilion layers of dead skin needing to exfoliate. It looks thick and blotchy and cakey, specially around the nose - It clogs pores a little bit - It looks from good to average - It control oil very very nicely for about 4-6 hours, but when the face starts to shine on the forehead, it looks yucky thick and grease... I think the worst is the texture bordering the cheap-o look and a HUGE difference is seen when i use a high end foundation after this. I really don`t see any reason AT ALL to a woman buy drugstore foundation. I think that 42 to 58 dolars for a every day use item like a foundation is considerably fair, even if i don`t like to pay that much neither. Save on a fast food 3 times and you`ll diet a bit and buy yourself a nicer foundation. I`m only using it because my Armani, YSL and Dior are all almost over and they`re not sold here where i live, so i`m waiting a friend to import them.

Pressed Powders -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - Medium
renijp 4/18/2009 8:42:00 PM
I bought this togheter with Mac Studio Stick foundation. At first, I liked it when used with this foundation that provides med-full full+ coverage (never found anything that covers like that and also didn`t suffocate my skin like studio tech does). Anyway...the powder. It`s sheer ( it`s a powder, not a foundation) and it doesn`t provide color, BUT it ACCENTUATE MY PORES, and it doesn`t control oil very well. On summer days, you can see some shine on the forehead and that it sit on pores (something i hate) so it ages (wich i hate even more). I`m much more pleased with Dior Forever compact wich has much better oil control and helps hiding pores (i won`t compare the coverage since one is a powder and the other a powder foundation). I`m NC25/27 and skinfinish medium. Dior 021 Linen. Armani shaping designer #5

Liquid -Christian Dior - Diorskin Airflash
renijp 2/3/2009 9:33:00 PM
This is the most flawless foundation I have ever seen. It's colling when sprayed, extremelly lightweight and it COVERS wonderfully. I haven't seen any other look as good as this on pictures, it feels just like a very thin layer of product on skin. I spray just a little and blend with the brush. It's also the one i turn to when my face look a mess. Mac studio stick acentuates flakiness, and Armani Shaping designer can look heavy and a bit older if layered too much for coverage (and I love both of these foundations). Well, Airflash is the one for me. It goes off insanelly fast IMO, but it worth every single penny. Highly recommended. I'l woul buy it again and again and again.

Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Moisturizing Cream

Sometimes we buy a body cream because of the brand, the package (very often) or alluring merchandizing... they do pretty much everything but moisturizing the skin. This one is simply EXCELENT! Extremelly effective, no grasy felling after application and leaves the skin ultra smooth. Package is horrible, there's no flattering scent (nor a unpleasant one neither) but thats what I use specially in the afternoon before special nights ;-) Soft baby skin garateed. (But i must confess that on those nights, I use a beauty milk ;D) It's cheap but is GOoooooOOOOOoD

Foundations -Yves Saint Laurent - Perfect Touch Radiant Brush Foundation
renijp 12/8/2008 10:10:00 PM
Excelent foundation. It's runny but covers, smells like fresh watermellon but the scent fades quicklly and it's not overpowering, and it's easy to spread and blend. The brush: i ditched it off. Imo it was useless (as almost every brush that comes with our make-up), not very sanitary and was making strikes of foundation. Coverage: it's medium, it evens the skin and hide blemishes and dark circles. It does give a baby skin. Finish: goes on the matte side, but i would say it's rather "powdery", it's soft, young and make pores disappears (and I have and hate the very noticeable pores) wich is the best for me. Great great liquid foundation, higlly recommended and i would buy this again even if i like trying new things. p.s.: should be used in 5 months once openned. My colour: NC 25, GA shaping designer #5, Dior Forever Linen #21, YSL #2 blond (tad tinny bit lighter, but very well balanced without too much peach, pink or yelow, could be #4 too i suppose).

Fragrances -Narciso Rodriguez - Narciso Rodriguez for her EDP
renijp 11/20/2008 11:03:00 AM
It's feminine and most of all, an actual, new fragrance. It's been quite some time we haven't seen a large scale brand launch a perfume that's not too sweet or too powdery or too ladylike. This is very very feminine, sensual, delicate and intense frangrance, all in the right proportion. It's not sexy-vulgar or sweety-pinky-girlly. I got compliments EVERY SINGLE TIME i weart it - both from men and women. I've been searching for new fragrances to vary, but haven't found nothing that pleases me as much as this one. I just hope it doens't get so much popularity to the point i smell it everywhere :P p.s.: only downside - you can't see how much is left on the bottle.

Well, it's better ben Hipsone and Miracle Summer, for sure, who could have been made by any cheaper perfumery brand. I'ts supposed to be a feminine and more adult fragrance, that evoques the image of a well dressed woman for the night. But unfortunatlly for me, it's a very simple frangrance, no complex in it's notes or undertones. It's a frangrance you'll probablly recognise easilly and also will probably find in a lot of women out there. Lasting power it's very good, we must say. Not a good perfume as Trèsor, Poême once was.
