Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lip Gloss (general)
rated 5 of 5

Revlon's Super Lustrous gloss are one of my favorite from the drugstore (next to L'Oreal's)! I have bough Pink Pop (3 times, it is that wonderful), Raisin Glaze, Coral Reef (another favorite), and Pink Whisper and they have all becoe some of my favorite glosses. The staying power is great (they are stickier than most glosses) and the colors are strong and complimentary to many looks. My only minor complaint is that some of the glosses have a somewhat chemical smell if they are a few years old. Other than that, I love these glosses and am stocking up since they are being discountinued.

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Colour Caresse Shine Stain / Shine Caresse
rated 4 of 5
redstampede 5/23/2013 1:56:00 PM

Packaging: Love the elegant packaging; looks and feels nice. Interesting/luxurious design. Gloss: Much like the YSL gloss, the color Pink Rebellion comes out like a medium pink, pigmented gloss (it also feels cooling because of the chemicals) but dries to a darker stain. As others have noted, the color is very different (medium pink to dark mauve) in the tube then the final shade. For that reason, (and for the weird cooling effect) while I enjoy using this stain, i have no interest in the other colors in this line (as much as I love L'oreal products) and would probably not repurchase this one.

Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara
rated 5 of 5
redstampede 5/23/2013 1:39:00 PM

This is one of my favorite mascaras; true to the name, I wear it when I want fuller-looking (but more natural) lashes. my eyelashes are already medium length, so this helps darken them and makes them stand out. It really is a softer formula; my lashes are flexible and fluttery. I love the way it looks; I use it every day and have stocked up on extra tubes.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Colorburst Lipgloss 002 Crystal Lilac
rated 5 of 5
redstampede 5/23/2013 1:33:00 PM

Crystal Lilac is one of my favorite 'drugstore' glosses; it is a shimmery pink-purple in the tube, and goes on just as sparkly. The color is still fairly noticeable on my lightly pigmented lips; I love the way it looks, very elegant and ethereal effect. I would buy this again in a heartbeat if I lost/ran out.

Lip Gloss -Neutrogena - MoistureShine gloss
rated 3 of 5
redstampede 5/23/2013 1:06:00 PM

Fruity Pink is a decent gloss; it is coral-pink in the tube but pretty much clear with an abundance of sparkles on my lightly pigmented lips. It is not very sticky (compared to Revlon's SL gloss original line) but smooth feeling and even somewhat moisturizing. I got this on clearance at Target for about $5.40. I like it enough to use it every day, but I would probably not buy it again. The color/pigmentation is not enough for the price.

Pressed Powders -Rimmel - Stay Matte Pressed Powder (ALL)
rated 5 of 5
redstampede 5/22/2013 9:32:00 AM

I have bought this twice now as I ran through the first one so quickly. It is an excellent powder- good to light coverage (works well with a concealer) and the shade Natural 03 blends really well with my skin tone. I highly, highly recommend this powder; it is my favorite in terms of coverage and price ($3.50 at Wally-world! Go get it!).

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Wear Infinite Duo Peach Parfait
rated 4 of 5
redstampede 8/29/2010 1:41:00 PM

I have the duo Peach Parfait; I believe this particular one may be discontinued, which is a shame because it is one of my favorite combination, and I would almost call it an HG (which is pretty rare)! (I may have found a dupe for it in the Black Radiance line, with the Bold/Beautiful duo.) I bought this back in 2006 in good old Walmart for about $4+. Peach Parfait has a matte light peach and a shimmery dark orange. These two are beautiful with my gray/blue eyes and even without a primer, they show up as a nice wash. I love to use this duo almost all year round (spring, summer and fall). ^^ It is very natural and seems to illuminate my eyes. It would work well for lighter tones and better with a primer for darker. I would definitely recommend it if you can find it!

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorstay Mineral Lipglaze
rated 5 of 5
redstampede 8/5/2010 10:55:00 AM

I bought Continous Pink from CVS's Spring sale (it came to about $2.61). This is one of my favorite lipcolors- it applies like a gloss, but it sticks more like a moist liquid lipstick. It gives my lips opaque covers in a light pink, natural color. It has very little shimmer, and tones down to a nice finish. It seems to last at least hours (with light drinking, not sure about eatting). The scent reminds me highly of orange cream candy and it fades after a few seconds on my lips. I'm getting close to using up my current tube and it has lasted a little over half a year of using it every few days. I can't wait to buy another and I would highly recommend this lipgloss. :)

Lip Gloss -Sally Hansen - Natural Beauty inspired by Carmindy - Ultra Soothing Lip Tint (ALL)
rated 2 of 5
redstampede 8/2/2010 3:59:00 PM

I bought this in 'Guava' on clerance at CVS. The jelly like consistancy is what caught my eye initially- Guava was one of the darkest glosses in the line. In the tube, it is a dark, jelly pink-coral. Like many reviewers have mentioned, it takes a while to get any of the tinted gloss to come out at first. The first 5-6 squeezes is clear, watery gel. When I finally can get the pinkish gloss out, it goes on nearly clear, with just a tiny hint of color (my lips are fairly pale). The gloss is okay; not sticky, just very watery and it eventually fades/slides (?) off my lips within an hour. Overall, it isn't a very good expierence... At the least, however, it keeps my lips looking soft and moisturized for a while. Even though I paid about $2.00 for this, I still wouldn't repurchase it- the money is better spent on the other Carmindy lipglosses (with the doefoot applicator). It wouldn't have been such a let down if it was more obvious that the glosses would go on virtually clear...They were teasing us with such beautiful jelly pigment. :)

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Glam Shine -Goddess
rated 4 of 5
redstampede 7/10/2010 1:04:00 PM

Goddess is a light pink super sparkly gloss. I bough this on clearance for $1 at my Big Lots (G.A). The packaging is cute; a curved tube with a click-lock twist cap. The applicator is a little unusual: it is your standard felt doefoot but it is fairly elongated. It is also rather springy so applying the gloss is nice. There is a subtle sweet vanilla scent that disapears in a few seconds. On my unpigmented lips, this gloss is slightly frosty pinkish (at first, then it settles into a shine) and SUPER sparkly! ^^ I really like the sparkles... however, if you are concerned about them, they really aren't apparent a few feet away. My only issue is that the color is quite sheer- more on that in a second. The other awesome plus is how plush, shiney and soft it makes my lips look. I love how beautiful it looks up close. It really does remind me of the advertisments in term of shine. The only downside for me (and the reason for the 4/5) is the lack of pink pigmentation; it starts out light pink then sheers out considerably amoung the hundreds of sparkles. It is a beautiful effect over all, and I will definetly love to repurchase this shade as well as other darker ones. <3

Blush -L'Oreal - Touch On Color
rated 3 of 5
redstampede 7/10/2010 11:51:00 AM

I found this blush (Sunny Shimmer) at my local Dollar Tree (go South GA., lol). I picked it up on a whim, as I knew that L'Oreal is generally known for their quality (in the blush/face and lip category at least). It comes in a silver plastic jar with a screw-cap. Sunny Shimmer is a nice dark pink-peach creme blush with a light dose of shimmer. While I wasn't expecting it to be matte, I didn't expect it to come out so sheer on the skin. I couldn't get it to apply evenly with my finger, and a brush wasn't soft enough and just dug up the blush into the inner bristles. If applied directly to the cheeks as a highlighter then evenly buffed with a wide soft brush, it gives a sheer glowing shimmer that is great for the summer. I wish I could find other darker colors, as this is a beautiful color, just a bit sheer.

Lipstick -Cover Girl - Trushine Lipcolor in Powderpink Shine [DISCONTINUED]
rated 2 of 5
redstampede 6/8/2010 11:25:00 AM

Like many others, no matter how I layer this, I end up with white-ish-pink-hued frost... It is actually worst than your usual frosty pink lipsticks; this one is almost completely white frost on my lips, even though it is a cute baby pink in the tube. Theer isn't a smell, thats one good thing. Sadly, it is also quite drying and chalky looking. Even though does give a nice shine, it isn't smooth feeling, just pastey... :( If it was a food, this would be white cake frosting, and not in a good way. I'm quite pale and my lips aren't that pigmented... This may work for another tone, but I can't seem to get it to look right. I bought is on sale from Rite Aid; I wish I could return this- I hate having it and not being able to use it much, and pink is my favorite color lipstick... A better light pink lipstick is New York Color's Petal in the round tube. It has a good deal a pink pigment, and is fairly mositurizing. Stay away from this one if heavy frost isn't your thing.

Lip Gloss -E.L.F. - Super Glossy Lip Shine SPF 15 - Goddess
rated 4 of 5
redstampede 6/8/2010 10:46:00 AM

Goddess is (as most other reviewers have noted) a medium mauvey-pink nude with a little bit of shimmer. It caught my eye because of the color (not your standard boring pink). The gloss is actually quite thick but it isn't terribly sticky. On my lips it is slightly darker than my natural lipcolor and it wears off fairly evenly and fades subtley. It gives my lips a nice muted shine and feels very comfortable and smooth. It seems to last about 2-3 hours; for a dollar at Target, it is worth it! I would love to get other colors.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Eye Studio Color Pearls Marbleized
rated 5 of 5
redstampede 6/8/2010 10:04:00 AM

I bought this in Mocha Mirage, which has a solid bronze side and a pretty swirl of dark pink, orange, cream and tan on the other. The colors are quite pigmented, even the lighter ones; I didn't use a a primer/base, and the colors were still very vibrant when applied wet (i haven't tried dry yet). They didn't crease on me, and lasted over 4 hours without a primer. I'm really happy with this duo, based on the review below; there is actually 4-5 different colors altogether, so there are many combinations you could make. I like the use the solid side as a liner and crease contour, the cute pink on the outer half of my lid, the tan on the inner corner and as a brow highlight, and the orange to either intensify the crease and blend the tan and bronze together, or as an overlay on the pink. It makes such a beautiful, bright summery look. Using a brush, I had little to no fallout on my cheeks. There isn't any glitter in the shadows, just very shimmery (but not frosty). The packaging is a nice change; it is modern looking and is fairly compact. The container has to be opened carefully in order to avoid nicking the shadow. The clear window dispalys the beautiful swirls in the shadow. You get about 3 grams of baked shadow and with a $2 off coupon and a 40% off sale at CVS, mine was just under $3! (Normal retail is around $8 in the drugstore.) I would highly recommend buying Mocha Mirage; I'm looking forward to getting other colors (especially the lilac and the seafoam green)!
