Fragrances -Kenzo - Amour by Kenzo
redhead2000 5/12/2011 5:46:00 PM
I purchased a mini bottle of this, and all I smell is baby powder with a little vanilla. I like more gourmand fragrances, with more spice. I keep reading how this is similar to Hypnotic Poison, but with my body chemistry, they don't smell that similar.

Lip Treatments -LUSH - Sweet Lips Lip Scrub
redhead2000 2/13/2011 10:45:00 AM
This lip scrub is my favorite out of all of the LUSH lip scrubs. It smells really good, and it does what it says. My concern is the price. (At the time of this review, this product is $8.95 for an 0.8 oz jar.) That seems to be a lot for sugar, oil, and flavoring. As I stated in my previous review for the bubblegum version, a wet washcloth or toothbrush could probably do the same thing. It's a fun product, though, but not a must-have. I am interested in finding out if anyone has finished an entire jar by the expiration date.

Lip Treatments -LUSH - Mint Julips Lip Scrub

I wish MUA had a "maybe" button where it asks if you would buy this product again. I like this lip scrub better than the bubblegum version. To me it smells better, and the fragrance isn't as overpowering. My concern is the price. (At the time of this review, this product is $8.95 for an 0.8 oz jar.) That seems to be a lot for sugar, oil, and flavoring. As I stated in my previous review for the bubblegum version, a wet washcloth or toothbrush could probably do the same thing. Lip Treatments -LUSH - Bubblegum Lip Scrub
redhead2000 2/13/2011 10:24:00 AM
I received a sample of this in a swap. I like the lip scrub overall, but the fragrance is too strong. It does a good job of exfoliating the lips, but I don't find this product to be a necessity. A wet washcloth or toothbrush will do the same thing. This product is expensive for what it is: sugar, oil, flavoring. With that being said, it's nice, but not a must-have.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - I should Coco Soap [DISCONTINUED]
redhead2000 2/13/2011 10:08:00 AM
I received a sample of this soap, and I'm very glad I didn't purchase it. This soap is full of coconut shavings, which are supposed to exfoliate your skin, but it made mine itch. I also found that it didn't lather very well. The worst part was that this soap completely disintegrated in my shower in about 15 minutes after it became wet.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Chox Away soap
redhead2000 2/12/2011 10:00:00 AM
I received a sample of this soap, and I had to try it. It smells like chocolate to me. I read where the fragrance was actually a chocolate mint, but in my sample I didn't detect any mint. It is a light brown color, and seems like it would melt very easily in the shower because it's so soft. When I tried it, it didn't lather as much as I wanted it to, but it was moisturizing. As I toweled off, I noticed that my skin didn't feel dried out, but moisturized. Overall, it's an ok soap, but I probably wouldn't purchase it.

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Vanilla Lemon
redhead2000 2/6/2011 10:40:00 AM
This review is for the Vanilla Lemon body cream. This is what I was hoping Ava Luxe Citrine or Crazylibellule and The Poppies Vanilla Lemon Pie would smell like. It is my favorite product and scent from Bath and Body Works. I find the body creams to be more moisturizing than the lotions, and they sink into the skin faster. The fragrance reminds me of my mother's lemon cake frosting. I wish it wasn't discontinued; it really is delicious-smelling.

Eye Makeup Remover -Lancome - Bi-Facil Double Action Eye Make-up Remover
redhead2000 7/19/2010 7:31:00 PM
This is a great eye make-up remover! It is very gentle on my eyes--doesn't sting, burn, or irritate them at all, and isn't greasy or oily. It takes off my waterproof mascara very easily. (I'm so glad I don't have to scrub my eyes anymore!) The only problem I have with this is the price; it's rather expensive. I wish it were cheaper, but it really is worth it. At the time of this review, a 4.2 oz. bottle is $26.

Fragrances -Hanae Mori - Butterfly EDT
redhead2000 4/18/2010 8:13:00 PM
I mainly smell the pralines in this. It reminds me of Mira Bai, which also contains a praline note. I don't really detect any vanilla, but it is definitely sweet. Just not for me.

Fragrances -Viktor & Rolf - Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb
redhead2000 4/9/2010 8:57:00 PM
I am a gourmand addict. I love sugary, sweet fragrances, especially vanilla. I love this fragrance! At first, I didn't like it because of the patchouli, but after awhile, the patchouli fades away, and I'm left with a very sweet scent, very much like Lolita Lempicka or Pink Sugar. I would definitely buy this again. I just wish it wasn't so expensive.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Nanette by Nanette Lepore
redhead2000 4/4/2010 7:56:00 PM
I really like this fragrance. I love oriental scents, so this was right up my alley. It has amber, floral notes, spicy pepper, and neroli. I was a little hesitant when I read it had pepper, because I didn't want another Pink Sugar. I definitely detect vanilla in this (which isn't listed in the description I read), and maybe some patchouli? Regardless, I purchased the roll-on .25 oz for $18.50, and I believe when I use it all, I will probably purchase a full bottle. I also think this fragrance can be used all year round, but would be excellent in winter!

Mascara -Lancome - Definicils waterproof
redhead2000 3/22/2010 8:36:00 PM
I picked this up because I had heard such good reviews about it, but my brand-new tube starting clumping within three days of my opening it. I have to use my fan brush daily to get the clumps out, which is very frustrating because I am in a hurry in the morning. I will use this tube for a few months because it was $25, and I don't want to waste money, but I would definitely not repurchase. DiorShow is much better.

Styling Products -Unlisted Brand - Blow Pro - Hair Care Heat is on Protective Styling Mist
redhead2000 11/15/2009 9:08:00 PM
I wanted a thermal protectant that didn't have a fragrance that competed with my perfume, and worked well. This might be my HG! This comes in an 8.5 oz. spray bottle. I like the way it makes my hair feel--my hair is very soft, it doesn't feel sticky or heavy, and it doesn't have a smell. I purchased this from Ulta. At the time of this review, this product is $18.

Styling Products -Farouk CHI - Chi Iron Guard
redhead2000 11/8/2009 11:38:00 AM
I used this product before I straightened my hair, and at first it made my hair sticky. I had to go over the sections I sprayed 2-3 times before it would dry completely. However, it did do a good job getting my hair smooth and silky. The fragrance of this spray smells like a man's cologne, and it competes with my perfume. Therefore, I would probably not repurchase. I would love to find a HG thermal protectant.

Fragrances -Chopard - Mira Bai
redhead2000 11/1/2009 12:16:00 PM
I absolutely love Chopard Casmir, and when I read about this fragrance, I had to have it, so I purchased a bottle unsniffed. On me, it smells like sweet pralines, and it is very foody. Eventually the scent fades into a sweet vanilla. It's ok, but I wouldn't reach for it every day, and when I run out I probably won't repurchase. Although the packaging is really cute, (I love the little bottle) I don't feel like it's that "special", and I prefer Casmir to this.
