Conditioner -Nature's Gate - Aloe Vera Treatment Conditioner
reasonle 12/14/2011 10:32:00 PM
I am in love with this conditioner. What is remarkable to me is the fact that by the time i am ready to rinse it out of my hair, it almost feels like there is none left to rinse out. why? because it has sunk in and moisturized my hair so much. this is a very thick conditioner so it definitely doesn't just slip out of your hair without you wanting it. Before this conditioner I used the moisturizing condition from BWC and I thought my hair was healthy then, but this Nature's Gate conditioner has made it even healthier.

Mascara -Maybelline - one by one, waterproof
reasonle 8/16/2011 11:16:00 AM
let me first tell you about my lashes... I have relatively long lashes but they need volume. I used to use maybelline colossal mascara but wanted something that wouldnt lengthen my lashes as much because they would hit my browbone and leave black marks during the days wear on my mascara... I decided to try this one and I find it to be a more natural version of colossal. I still get volume, but not as much length, just what i need!

Liquid -Make Up For Ever - Face & Body Foundation
reasonle 8/3/2011 10:15:00 AM
EDIT: this foundation is amazing, but i cannot use it everyday... it is too much for my skin to handle daily. i now use it for special occasions. This foundation is amazing... It last so long and honestly looks like your skin but with a more even tone. This foundation does not alter the texture of your skin, but with the sheer color it adds to my face, my skin looks much closer to perfect than it does without foundation. This works very well with my dry/combo skin. Please make sure to remove it completely at night though! I use two baby wipes to remove it, then use a cream cleanser and toner.

wow. this is my favorite shadow. the duo chrome of this is lovely, a very dark red based brown with a shot of blue iridescence. this is a great way to have a neutral look that pops in an unexpected way. very smooth and pigmented eyeshadow. i will always have this on hand.

Highlighters -Tokidoki - kabuki luminosa powder
reasonle 7/18/2010 11:26:00 AM
This highlighter is perfect for beginners because it is very sheer. It is a very subtle pink with tiny tiny hot pink shimmers. it does not at all look like glitter on your face, just a subtle sheen to put on cheekbones. adds a pretty, soft, fairy like luminosity to your face.

Lips -TheBalm - Stainiac in Beauty Queen
reasonle 9/14/2009 12:16:00 PM
this was my first ever cheek stain and oh my goodness how i love it! i guess what should be a testament to this stain is that it made me, a very anti blush girl on me love a simple pop of pink on my cheeks! i never liked how powder blush looked on me, i felt it was unnatural and in my experience it was hard to find matte blushes i liked. so i gave up for awhile. then after researching, i took my butt out to sephora and bought this after comparing it to others. this was the most sheer of the brands i looked at and that is what i like the best. it is so easy to blend in, but i do not use my bare fingers, i wrap them in a plastic baggie before blending. this really looks like i just stepped inside from the cold, its a bright but natural pink and what i like is you can completely control how bright or subtle you want it to be! if natural look, fresh, glowy cheeks is your kinda look, go out and get this!

Primer/ Corrector -Unlisted Brand - Monistat - Chafing Relief Powder-Gel
reasonle 6/30/2009 12:12:00 AM
as a primer, this does keep my fdn on longer and it does make my skin look smoother, so that is why this gets a four, but for me, it made my skin smooth and matte for a while, but made my skin get oily quicker than if i dont have it on and just fdn. so i will not be repurchasing this to use as a primer. but if your skin isnt all that oily, i think this would work. so all in all, it did make my skin look much smoother and it did make my fdn last longer, its just that it made me too greasy...

Misc Beauty Tools -Revlon - Eyelash curler
reasonle 6/28/2009 11:24:00 AM
this was my first eyelash curler ever... i was still at the point where i wasnt completely convinced that curling your lashes would make all that much of a difference... but now i do realize that it does! i like this curler at first, but now have come to realize that i pinch my eyelids very easily with this curler. it might just be my technique thats off, but after using it for almost 9 months i would think i would be good at it by now right??? anyways, i do still use it everyday just because i havent brought myself to shell out the money for a shu... once i do i will not be using this one anymore though. when i use it i have to curl quite a lot to get a noticeable curl, but once it gets there and i have my wp mascara on the curl stays quite well.

Liquid -Maybelline - Dream Liquid Mousse

EDIT--- i fell out of love with this fdn, it didnt last long enough for me even with a primer. i am back to revlon cs. i did keep my bottles and transfer my revlon into them though already on my second bottle! well, i guess not my second full bottle, i just had to get a darker shade for summer! right now i am using light 4, nude. this is a pretty yellow color for a ds fdn! i have very warm yellow undertones and this matches my skin very very well! but now onto the product. even when i tried it first without primer underneath this fdn did make my pores much smoother looking! it does last a good amount of time without primer, maybe 8 hours? but for me, being in college, i need something that can last from 9 or so in the morning to 2 to 3 in the morning... you know how us college kids are! lol, so with this fdn i use the monistat anti chaf gel to prime, and with it and powder, i can get a pretty nice looking face even until the very early hours of the morning. i apply this just with my fingers as i think that brushes and sponges just soak up too much product. i have ok skin i guess, so i just apply one pump of this to the areas of my face that tend to get red, like my chin, nose and tops of my cheeks. then i finish with powder and i am good to go! i do have combo skin and i can definitely tell you that this does not keep me matte or even dewey for awhile, even with my primer and powder. but then again, nothing has been able to do this... so overall, i give this foundation a thumbs up! costs around ten bucks but of course maybelline goes BOGO very often...

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Discovery Mini-Brush Waterproof
reasonle 6/28/2009 10:57:00 AM
i bought this just mainly to use on my bottom lashes and then bought another waterproof mascara for my top lashes. what i discovered is that i just really really like this itty bitty little wand... i use it on my lower lashes as i thought i would, and its perfect, i can get every little lash down there! then i also use it on my top lashes. for me i always have issues getting the lashes on the very inner most and outer most corner of my eyes, but with this? no more issues! so, i use this all over my top lashes in a thin coat, because this lengthens them perfectly! no volume really, but then i go over with a bit of my other mascara that i bought for volumizing and what do i get? super dark, super long, super thick lashes! this doesnt flake either! i do like this mascara a lot and its even better that maybelline mascaras go BOGO so often! :D

ugh... i dont know if i got a bad one or not, well, a bad two actually... based on the ratings here i went to walgreens and bought the last two of these liners thinking they would work... well... they were both hard and impossible to get any pigmentation on my eyes. will not be buying again.

Loose Powders -Palladio - Rice Powder Loose Natural
reasonle 6/25/2009 3:01:00 PM
ok, the main reason i bought this was because it was supposed to be mattifying. on my combo skin, its not... i still give this a 4 though (minus one lippie only because it doesnt keep me matte) because of what it does to my skin... HOLY GOODNESS! i love that this powder makes my skin look so smooth and creamy... you barely have to use any powder, you get great coverage, and your skin looks smooth! now, i have not tried any HE powders, but with all the DS ones i have tried, it seems like at the end of the day it looks almost like they would "crack" and leave lines on my face around my nose, mouth, etc. but this powder? this powder seems to move with my skin better than any other powder i have tried. i personally like the smell of it, it is strong, but it doesnt stay with you forever. at the most a half hour. its cheap too! and the packaging is adorable even though its kind of a pain. i do not remove the entire sticker, just about 13 of it. i do keep the puff in there just to minimize powder flying around when you open the box. but do use another powder brush. so i would recommend this powder to everyone, especially dry skin, but even if your skin is oily, use some silica or something overtop, i still have yet to try this combo, but silica does keep my skin pretty matte.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HIP Cream Shadow Paint in 807 Secretive
reasonle 5/29/2009 5:30:00 PM
this stuff does work well as a primer! i have never used a real primer, like UDPP or TFSI, but i have tried using fdn to prime, powder, concealer, cream shadow, etc.... lots of other cheaper alternatives. but then i heard about this and thought i would try. i am glad i did! it does keep my eyeshadows from creasing even when its hot out! for me though, i do see some of the same color fading as i did when i used fdn or something else. but, the no creasing is wonderful! even when i get all hot and sweaty!

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - H2O Proof Liquid Eyeliner - Ultra Black
reasonle 5/14/2009 1:38:00 PM
holy goodness! this stuff lasts forever!!! i mean, forever... even after remiving my eye makeup i still have some left on my eyes! other than its awesome staying power, this stuff is so cheap and doesnt make my eyes water when i wing it out like other liquid liners can! but my favorite part of this liner??? the fact that it doesnt dry to a flat matte black that gets dulled down. i do intense eye looks, so when i use liquid liner i still want it to show against the e/s. other liquid liners have just gone too matte and too... flat i guess... this one doesnt, it holds its own next to dark e/s!

i ADORED this brush... so cute and pink and soft... it stayed that way for about 3 months... but then, randomly, it broke... the bristles started coming out of the ferule like crazy, and i heard something rattling in there. sadly i had to toss it...
