I love this perfume. I've been waiting to try it for months because I haven't been near a Sephora. I finally made it to a store, and I should have bought this a long time ago. It smells so delicious and fresh...not perfumy. I smell more sugared grapefruit than vanilla, but I tested the vanilla factor on one of my guy friends who loves ANYTHING vanilla. I stood next to him and didn't say anything, and next thing I knew he was sniffing me and pawing at me and asking me what I was wearing, was it vanilla, telling me he couldn't stay away, etc. His compliments couldn't have been better. And when I have it on, I can't stop smelling myself. The best part...it's healthy and doesn't give me a headache like most perfumes do. I can wear this knowing I'm actually doing something good for my body, I smell sexy and delicious, and I won't get a headache. I'll wear this as long as it's out.

Styling Products -Ouidad - Tress F/X

I use this mixed with climate control. It is a little stiffer than climate control, and a little thicker, but it adds frizz control. While at first it adds a little crunch, if I scrunch my hair it's gone. It makes my curls shiny and bouncy. It's perfect for finger curls too. I love it.

I love this stuff. I run it through my hair mixed with tres fx for a little more frizz control, and my muti-textured, extremely frizzy, hard to tame curls are suddenly shiny and bouncy. If I finger curl, I've suddenly got a head full of soft, shiny, light curls. It doesn't weigh down my hair at all or make it crunchy. Nothing has every worked like this for me before, and I've tried EVERYTHING.

I wanted to love this lotion, but I actually hate it. Not only did it do nothing for my dry, slightly acne prone skin, it smells awful. And it's a lingering smell that stays for the better part of the day. It has a rotting herb smell. It's also a very light lotion. It looks like it'd be creamy, but it's not. It sat on my skin and didn't sink in. And I don't like that I have to dip my fingers into it. I'd much rather a pump so I don't transfer dirt into the container. This one is just not at all for me. I will never buy it again.

Mascara -Stila - Lash Visor (New- Fall 2004)

I love this mascara. I've been wearing it for about a year now, and I can't find another mascara that does nearly as well for the price (Chanel's waterproof is my other favorite, but it costs $15 more). I recently bought Lancome Hypnose...there is no comparison and I will never stray from Stila again. Lash Visor thickens, lengthens, it's waterproof, and it doesn't clump. I have average lashes as far as volume and length. But they're pale and straight and until I curl them or apply mascara, you can't see them. This mascara makes me feel like for $10 I've bought a tube of dark, voluminous, long lashes. It doesn't clump or run, and with eyemakeup remover I can take it off with ease. I'm sure I'll try and find something better again in a few months, but I'm also sure I'll be back to kicking myself and wishing I'd just stuck with what I already know is perfect mascara for me.

Fragrances -Chanel - Gardenia

This is the perfume I wear for every day when I wear perfume...for evening or going out I wear Hugo Boss Deep Red, but I haven't worn it in about 6 months because my pregnant nose coulcn't handle it. But Chanel Gardenia always makes me feel good. It's not overwhelming, and it smells bright and sparkling. It puts me in a good mood, and makes me feel pretty. I get compliments on it all the time. It's not perfumey, it's light and fresh and smells like...well jasmine is the first smell I pick out on it. Also, I know the packaging is plain, but I've dropped the bottle several times (pregnancy makes you clumsy...and I tend to drop things regardless) and not a crack or a gap or anything. I will ALWAYS wear this perfume. I've worn it for years, and I may have a new evening favorite or two, but this....how many perfumes can make you feel not just beautiful, but like...something has been lifted off you shoulders just with a spritz?

Mascara -Lancome - Hypnose Waterproof

This is an update from my previous review. This mascara is AWFUL. I wanted to give it a chance, but it went from bad to worse. I had to wipe the wand with each use and even then it still clumped so much a metal lash comb didn't even do much other than leave flakes. It is waterproof, but it's impossible to get off even with makeup remover. Horrible stuff. Save your money and try something (ANYTHING) else.

Blush -MAC - blushcreme ladyblush

I have very pale skin with peachy pink undertones and freckles. My skin tends to be a dry, so powder blush looks like it's just sitting on my skin. I bought this because I wanted a blush that would sink in and look natural and also be a color that would make me look fresh and feminine (I'm also a new mom...quick and easy but beautiful is important to me, especially when I wake up pale and tired from no sleep). I was a little unsure, but I LOVE this blush. I put it on with MAC's 187 brush (a splurge, but also one of my loves) and all of a sudden I have a gorgeous, natural, movie star flush. It sinks in and it looks like I should be wearing a pretty spring dress and sitting out in the sun on a picnic. It's a very fresh shade, and it's easy to vary the intensity of it. I think this'll be my blush for a while.

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Cristalle Gloss - Pink Candy

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this gloss. In fact...it's all I've worn on my lips aside from lip balm since buying it. It's the perfect baby pink with a hint of subtle coral...not by any means an actual coral, but there's a hint of sheer warmth to the pink. It brightens my face and makes me look glowy and fresh even when I've spent the night up every few hours with my newborn. It takes my lips from dry and dull to plump and healthy and smooth looking with just a swipe of the wand. And I especially love the texture. It's silky smooth and not at all sticky. I typically can't stand most glosses because no matter how great they look, my hair gets stuck in them, or, as of late, a baby hand ends up in them. This one is so nice. No sticking anywhere here except on my lips, and when I rub them together instead of that slimy, sticky feeling I get a smooth glide. It's perfect. I love it. When it goes away I might just cry.

Fragrances -Hugo Boss - Deep Red

I love this scent...it smells AMAZING on me...like...oh I can't even describe it...tahitian vanilla, sandalwood, spice, a little red fruit, and just...mmm. It smells almost edible on me. I wore Chanel Gardenia for years because I can't stand really perfume-y fragrances, but I've been looking for something a sexier for years. I'm incredibly picky, hence the years. Well I walked into Filenes last week, told the sales woman what I wear, she handed me this, and boom. Years of searching ended in literally 2 minutes flat. Yum yum yum...I can't stop smelling me. And I get compliments galore...especially from men. Not one complaint here!

Styling Products -Frederic Fekkai - Luscious Curls

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff. It smells AMAZING, which is important. But more important than that...it's the best curl styling product on the market. I've tried EVERYTHING. Literally. I have very curly, thick, slightly coarse hair that never does what I want. I always have to use a ton of product and typically end up with a crunchy, sticky mess. But this...I don't have to use much, and my hair is left shiny, bouncy, and under control. Frizz is minimized, and my hair doesn't feel like I've weighed it down with a pound or two of product. The new Lusious Curls Shampoo and Conditioner are FABULOUS too. I used all three the first time this morning....my hair has NEVER looked this amazing. Seriously. I look better than I do when I walk out of the salon. You HAVE to try this stuff!
