Just before I put my opinion on Chanel Le Vernis #475, I just want to point out that what I tend to find with nail products is the same as with every other beauty product; it works better on some people than others, and this is purely just down to your own body's oils and chemicals - the mix is different for everyone! Meaning, one nail polish will last forever on your friend, and not on you! Which, sucks really ha! Chanel Le Vernis seems to be one of the brands that bodes quite well with my body chemistry, and in addition to a good quality top coat [which for me is Seche Vite all day long], it lasts and lasts. A lot of people on here are saying it isn't a patch on OPI, I think it is on a par at the VERY least! I really do love my OPI, but I tend to find that after a few months some of them have glooped out of the lid and dried solid - the product on the inside is still perfect [providing you have the elbow grease to prize it open again!] This doesn't happen with the Chanel - it effectively comes with two lids - the one connected to the brush and a pretty one which just slots on top. Overall, I'm really impressed with Chanel's range [but I am a real Chanel fanboy who's never been steered wrong with them!]. For me it definitely wears a lot better than Essie, and don't even mention Barry M or Avon - they're not even in the same league!
Once again OPI have brought out a truly unique shade, that looks delectable on your nails, it looks so much better when it's on, rather than just sat in the bottle [I don't think that really makes much sense, but I'm sure you know what I mean...] It's not a shade that I would usually think to buy, but when I saw it on the OPI website, I just had to try it. It applies so easily, as I have come to expect with OPI quality and always leaves you looking like you have just had a professional mani. One of my work colleagues asked me if I had just come from the nail salon when she saw me wearing this polish! She didn't believe me, until I manicured her nails with this polish. I have never been disappointed by OPI...it applies nicely, and is super glossy after the second coat. This colour is reminiscent of "Pinotage" by Bio Sculpture Nails [gel nail brand] and I had fell in love with it when I had it applied a few months back. I have been a longstanding customer of OPI, and love the quality of the products they make. Quality speaks for itself, and I am of the view "buy cheap...buy twice." Great value for money and my manicures are always salon quality and don't chip for weeks. Combine it with Seche Vite top coat and you will be finding it hard to go back to the salon.
No7 Stay Perfect in Vivid Violet. I usually do not use No7 Stay Perfect, but I borrowed this polish off my Auntie whilst I was on holiday. I love the colour, I haven't seen one like it, but this is where the love affair ends. On me, no matter how carefully I apply it, it bubbles. Badly. It also takes forever to dry, still smudging and denting and feels sticky after a half hour. I can't comment on the staying power, as I removed it after an hour, as it looked shoddy and the shine was dull due to the extreme bubbling. Sticking with OPI.
I love this product! I tried it as soon as I bought it! It looks phenomenal over gold shades, providing a leopard print effect on par with the likes of those provided by Minx. It also looks lovely over reds, but I think it depends on your tastes! I do not usually buy cheap nail polishes, I usually buy OPI and have been a loyal customer for years. OPI are due to bring out a polish like this one in Jan 2011, so I can't wait for that. But I would repurchase!! Impressed
As with the other reviewer before me, this was my first Essie purchase, and I'm sorry to say, will be my last. I had high expectations of Essie products, having heard such good things about them. I bought Essie to try a new brand. The colour does however lovely and looks gorgeous on. It is easy to apply and dries ultra quickly. The down side is, it chips. Very quickly. Within a day my nails start to look worn. I can't live with chipped nails so it means I'd have to reapply every day. It chips in large chunks too. Not a good product and will not be repurchasing any of the Essie Product Line. Will be sticking with OPI.

I love this colour, it's so luxurious and feels silky on your lips. It's a colour that makes you feel expensive and beautiful. The formula is thick but is easily spreadable across your lips. The staying power isn't anything to phone home about but it is certainly above average. The thing I most like about this product other than the colour and how shiny it is, is how unsticky it is, which is my pet peeve with glosses. Definitely a winner :)
This is without doubt the best mascara I have ever tried. While wearing it I have been asked which brand of false eyelashes I use! Yet another winning product from Chanel. It applies so easily and gives flawless coverage, without clumping. The formula stays put all day without flaking or smudging and comes off effortlessly without leaving panda eyes! I have found my HG mascara. Recommended!
