Tried this after the recommendations on here. Ummmm YUCK! Skin felt greasy, did not take my makeup off, either. Broke out in little whiteheads from it. I still use verite calming lotion and moisture relief cream though with no problems.

Treatments -Estee Lauder - Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex

I'm in love! After the reviews on here, and seeing free samples advertised on tv. I stopped by the Estee Lauder booth. OMG in 1 night, my red acne was peach colored, skin tone was more even. After a few weeks, pores are smaller, blackheads are less prominent. Skin is still looking even and soft. Enough that my girlfriends even my brothers have commented on my skin. Luv that it keeps the red acne at bay. My skin is super pale and red hormonal acne doesn't help the porcelin look I love. I still have little breakouts, but they're not the huge cysts I would normally get. I use this with verite calming lotion and moisture relief. Not diggin' the glass container, maybe a plastic one would bring the price down? The price is alot too. $64CAD for 30ml. I find I don't need as much as they say, so my samples that were supposed to last 10 days, have lasted past 3 weeks. I think at 36 I've finally found a skin care line I love. Gave it a 5 b/c my skin looks great after 3 weeks and doesn't itch!

Moisturizers -Estee Lauder - Verite Calming Fluid

Finally something that doesn't irritate! I use this over my advanced night repair, my skin is glowing, soft and acne free. (I still break out, but this doesn't cause it) Most I've ever spent on a cream, but after the compliments I've been getting, I'll keep paying for it. My skin is sensitive and somewhat dry, prone to hormonal breakouts. This is light and non-greasy for under makeup. In harsh canadian weather sometimes I need a bit more, so I use verite moisture relief. They loose a lippy b/c at $83CAD that's alot of money, and the bottle is glass. Make it plastic and cut the cost, or better yet, use a tube. But overall, thank god I stopped by their booth.

Cleansers -Estee Lauder - Perfectly Clean Splash Away Foaming Cleanser

Wow, you could use this to remove wax off a gymnasium floor! Smells nice, but waaay too drying for sensitive normal skin. I'll give it a 2 lippies for removing all my makeup.

Hair Color -L'Oreal - Casting Creme Gloss

I tried 319 plum visitingIreland last year. I Loved it! Color is perfect everytime. I dye my hair every 4 weeks. 15 minutes on the roots 5 minutes on ends and my hair is past my shoulders and thin. Unfortunately can't find a dark purple semi permanent in Canada, so my family ships this over to me. Thank god! I took a lippie off because it and the conditioner stink.

Gross. Way too greasy for sensitive skin. And the smell, way too strong and lingers forever. Thank heavens I can take it back.

I live in very dry cold Canadian weather with extremely sensitive skin. I purchased this on sale. Was not impressed. Left my skin sticky and irritated and breaking out all over my chin.

I have long dark brown hair, way past my shoulders. It's fairly damaged and thin. I usually fork out tons of cash to have it professionally done in a dark purple, but after 3 weeks it always fades. So after a recommendation at a drug store, I purchased the 200 soft black. The color was amazing and super shiney and got every bit of hair, there was still some breakage, but not as much as with a permanent color. It covered great, but my hair felt like hay after. It's been 3 weeks and it still looks good, it's faded a bit, but still looks pretty. No I won't purchase again, I will try natural instincts next time.

Hair Color -Clairol - Natural Instincts in 28 Nutmeg Dark Brown
rachkat 4/24/2011 2:36:00 PM
This is my first review. But I've read the site everytime I needed another opinion. I usually pay good money to get my daughter's hair highlighted. She wanted an overall brown, so I opted for a temporary color and picked Natural Instincts after reading good reviews. I used #28 on my daughter's short light brown/blonde highlighted hair. Her hair is above her shoulder's and very thick. It covered the blonde perfect (I applied the color to her blonde first), and gave a nice chocolate brown look. Color came out darker than showed on the box, and definately was NOT enough product for complete coverage. She has a nice overall highlighted look, but not a consistant color because of not enough product. There was no damage to her hair, but her hair was already in great shape. The product had hardly any smell, and looked very shiney after. I will buy a lighter shade next time for her and probably 2 boxes. :)
