Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Sensitive Skin Deep Cleansing Lotion

I have just repurchased this after finishing up my first bottle. So it's safe to say I love this stuff! I travelled America for 3 months and my skin got terrible due to the climate change - I've never had so many spots - particularly on my forehead. I was complaining to my friend upon arrival home and she recommended this to me, and it was only £3 so I thought I'd give it a try. Although this smells really strong and stings a bit when you first put it on, I can't get enough of how clean my skin feels after using it. I use make up wipes to take my make up off (because I'm fairly lazy and can't be bothered to go to the bathroom) and then put this on a cotton pad and swipe all over my face. I like the fact it's a no rinse formula. The dirt that's on the cotton pad is amazing! Considering I always think my skin is already clean. My skin just feels squeaky. Anyway my spots were gone in no time and I've carried on using this and had hardly any spots since. It is quite harsh so I always make sure I moisturise with a heavy cream afterwards (Oilatum Natural Face Repair) as I have a dry skin anyway. But I imagine this would be great for oily skin too. I'm glad I've found something so cheap that is so effective, and the bottle lasts ages too. I've knocked a lippy off simply due to the strong smell (not great when you've got a hangover).

I have to remind myself how my skin used to be to really appreciate this product. I used to have a very flakey forehead and other dry patches on my face and all the moisturisers that I tried either weren't moisturising enough or were too greasy and broke me out. This is absolute perfection. There isn't a dry patch to be seen on my face any more, and no spots either. My skin is the perfect amount hydrated, all the while the moisturiser is unscented, ungreasy and feels very gentle. I also have eczema which sometimes flares up on my eyelid and cheek and this does not aggravate it at all, it infact soothes it. I use it daily before make up and after using clean & clear deep cleansing lotion - which is quite drying but amazing to zap spots. It has never broke me out, and I've been using it since before the Summer. HG HG HG. I hope they never stop selling this because there is nothing else like it! I get it from boots at about £7 a tube which is a bit pricey but the tube does last a while as you don't need much (a pea sized amount) and it is so worth it for the results you get. I really can't rave about it enough.
I love this stuff, It's the only nail strengthener I've used that actually works and doesn't wreck the skin around the nail (Trind) or make the nails yellow (OPI nail envy). I have thin, peeling nails and have never in my life been able to grow my nails - until I bought this! After a couple of weeks my nails get harder and stop peeling so that I can grow them. It isn't too expensive either, and I do like it as a base coat. Sometimes I also put China Glaze strong adhesion base coat over the top. I don't use it how it is instructed I just put it on underneath my manicure or alone on my nails if I'm not wearing any polish. Basically I just make sure this is always on my nail. As another reviewer stated they do recommend to start using the nail maintaining one after your nails get strong so that they don't get brittle. Will repurchase again and again, cos if it ain't broke don't fix it.
My friend gave me this in 'A Nude Peach' as it was too dark for her skin and it turned out to be too dark for mine so it went away in the cupboard. However this year I went to America for 3 months and developed some serious tannage, and didn't have a foundation even close to the colour of my skin, but then I remembered this! It was a really good match for my dark skin and when I started using it I realised what a great foundation it is. It is medium coverage with a lovely dewy finish and my favourite thing about it is how it stays on all day, without drying out my skin. If I want a lighter coverage I use my fingers but for more coverage I use my RealTechniques stippling brush. I've used my Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum since which used to be my fave but compared to this it has no lasting power and my face looked awful halfway through the day. The only thing I hate about it is that the bottle really leaks if it isn't stood up so I wouldn't dream of travelling with it, but I don't know if it's just mine as no other reviewers seem to have mentioned it. I'm actually thinking about purchasing this in a lighter colour now that my tan has faded and at £10 it won't be a difficult decision.

I love this, it's the only perfume I wear. I'm not really a perfume person as they tend to give me a headache but this is really nice and light - not too strong. It's a lovely smell and very wearable for every day. I personally don't like to smell too strong and hate it when I can smell someone a mile off!
Concealers -Bourjois - Healthy Mix Correcting Concealer

I like this concealer. I have 53 Dark Radiance, which I would assume would be too dark for my skin but is actually a pretty good match, so I guess the shades must run pretty light. If I wanted to brighten I'd purchase the shade lighter, but as this is such a good match to my skin tone it's really good for covering blemishes and under eye circles. I love the smell, it's the same as the healthy mix foundations which I also love, very fruity. It provides good coverage and is really nice and creamy.
Sunscreen -Hawaiian Tropic - Oilfree Faces Anti-Aging spf 30

This stuff is absolutely fantastic and I can't believe there are no reviews for it! It claims not to clog pores and it really doesn't, it isn't greasy like ordinary sunscreen and sinks in straight away so you can put your make up on straight after. I can't rave about it enough! I haven't had any spots from wearing this daily like I usually do when wearing sunscreen, and spf 30 is really decent coverage. I love the little mirror on the front and the fact that is has a pump.
I jumped on to the SV Bandwagon because of all the rave reviews on here. I initially wrote one myself but I'm rewriting it because this stuff is really frustrating! It just makes my nail varnish chip off in huge chunks after less than a day, and I only need one bit to come off to give myself the excuse to bite the rest off. It looks so good though - nails look thick and super shiny and it dries your nail varnish extremely fast. So it's hard to stop using! But if I want my nail varnish to last this really isn't the answer. And I really don't have the time to keep repainting my nails every day! It was a cheap one for me as I bought a little sample size to try for £1.99 with free P&P on eBay so I didn't really waste my money and I don't think I'll repurchase.
I like this lipstick. My lips are quite pigmented and nudes tend to go brown/ orange on me, and this is no exception. After a while I started to quite like the colour though, it is still very nude only the tiniest bit orange. It doesn't dry my lips out and isn't TOO matte. Not my favourite out of the Revlon matte lippies, but still a nice addition to my collection and I do reach for it a fair bit. Usually when I'm wearing pink blush and don't want to over do it with a pink lip. I like the packaging too, not tacky, very sleek and simple and of course dirt cheap.
Self Tanners -Unlisted Brand - St. Moriz Self Tanner Foam
rachelicious904 3/10/2012 6:24:00 PM
I actually have the mist for this but there were no reviews for that. And it's just as good as the foam. I do love this stuff, I can't believe how natural that tan is. I only have the light one and it still gives me a really nice tan like I've just been on holiday! For something so cheap I can't believe how good it is. I don't exfoliate or anything because I'm lazy, and I just spray this on (it looks really scary and patchy) and rub it in with a mit and it leaves a golden glow. I even use it on my face and I look so healthy. No shimmer either, which is a bonus for me. Would definitely repurchase but there's loads in the can. Best part is it doesn't smell overwhelming.

URGH! BIG no no, broke me out so badly and did the same to my friend. This is far too greasy to put anywhere near your face. And what's worse is the tan was patchy. Don't waste your money.
It doesn't streak if you rub in well and gives a really nice even golden tan after using for a couple of days. Worth noting that I already have light olive skin so I'm not sure what it would be like on pale skin. Very moisturising, not too greasy but takes a while to sink in. Gave it a 3 because of the smell. It's awful, and it lingers on the skin, you'll smell it all day. The person who said it smells of playdough was so right! Great product if you can get past the smell, which I can't, therefore I won't be repurchasing!
I have very dark hair and eyebrows and there for the few hairs on my top lip are a little darker than I'd like. I just used this for the first time on my top lip and it's amazing. You can't see the hairs any more, looking closely they are so fair and fine. I'm so happy :) I always felt a bit self conscious about those hairs and was embarrassed to go to the salon to get a wax. Besides that, at £4 for a tub and plenty of applications in it this is so much cheaper and longer lasting than waxing. I just mixed it as directed in the instructions and left on for 10 minutes. Definite repurchase.
BB Cream -Boots - Beautiful Skin BB Cream Normal/Dry in Fair
rachelicious904 3/9/2012 5:26:00 PM
I have to agree with the other review, I was really pleasantly surprised by this. I had the old £5 voucher and had been hearing about BB creams so thought I'd give this a go as I was actually looking for a tinted moisturiser so this was basically 2 in 1. The coverage is sheer, really your face but better, evens out complexion and isn't greasy or too matte. SPF 15 as well so perfect for Summer. I want to save this for my 3 month trip in the US but think I'll end up using it every day! I also got fair. It really isn't fair, it's perfect for my light olive freckled skin, so I don't know what an actual fair person would do. I only gave it a 4 due to their only being 2 colours, which wasn't personally a problem for me but might be for others.
This product is great, cheap and it does the job. Doesn't aggravate my sensitive skin, doesn't leave it dry, takes away any flaky skin leaving it smooth and new. Simple! I won't look for a new scrub, 'cos if it ain't broke don't fix it. I probably use it about once a week, body and face. Really takes away the dry patches on my face without breaking me out or anything. Which is saying something as my skin is very dry and sensitive.
