Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Benetint

Pretty frustrating to use. Doesn't stain your lips where you want them to have color. WILL stain the inside of your mouth. So after you use this it kind of looks like you just ate a cherry popsicle or something. Weird look. Doesn't really work as a cheek stain either. Seems to stain my fingertips and not my face. Won't be buying this again.

Concealers -BeneFit Cosmetics - Boi-ing
r0semarysays 5/12/2011 5:31:00 AM
By far the best concealer I have EVER EVER used. It goes on totally matte, eliminates pores, and STAYS PUT. One of my biggest problems with concealer before this (I used one of the retractible Bobbi Brown concealer sticks, applied with an eyeshadow brush) is that I'd put the concealer on, but when I went to apply the foundation over top the kabuki brush would wipe off all the concealer! Boi-ing stays put all day and endures my greasiness. This stuff has changed my life. During breakouts I'm not constantly running to the bathroom to touch up my concealer. I never have to reapply this stuff. A salesperson at Ulta told me they use Boi-ing for news anchors because it conceals but keeps their skin matter. I believe it! I wouldn't go on TV wearing anything else.

Powder -Cover FX - Cover Fx - Powder Fx

The BEST pressed mineral powder foundation! Blows BE, Tarte, and Estee Lauder out of the water. I would say your next best substitute would be the MAC pressed mineral powders. But Cover FX looks better on and is a much better value (lasted me about 4 months, but I used up my MAC powder in less than 2).

Top/Base Coats -Essie - Matte About You
r0semarysays 4/24/2011 5:31:00 PM
This is an ok matte top coat. Two complaints: 1. Doesn't dry as fast as my normal glossy Seche Vite topcoat. 2. Now that I have had this polish for a few months, it has started to deposit little hard white bits on my nails. So irritating and extremely obvious over dark colors like purple. I think they must be bits of hardened nail polish that have gotten mixed in. I just don't understand why they don't re-dissolve like most nail polish would.

Cleansers -Dermalogica - Skin Clearing Wash
r0semarysays 4/24/2011 5:26:00 PM
I'm on my third bottle of this stuff. It is probably the best skin cleanser I have used. I have combination, very fair, sensitive, acne-prone skin and this has drastically reduced the number of breakouts I have. However, acne-prone peeps need to resist the temptation to let this stuff sit on your skin. It's a gel--it's meant to dry your skin out--and it WILL if you leave it on for too long. I use this with the Daily Microfoliant (which I don't use daily), as gel cleansers don't really exfoliate. I recommend that you buy this stuff on Amazon--it's going to be like half the price of any other web site.

Scrubs -Dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant
r0semarysays 4/24/2011 5:15:00 PM
The most amazing exfoliant I've ever used. Will buy again. I don't use it every day--maybe once or twice a week. I have sensitive skin and want the product to last longer. This is the ONLY exfoliant I would recommend for people with breakout-prone skin like mine. I recommend that you use this around a sink rather than in the shower. It will last longer. I seem to have to use a lot more when I'm in the shower--I think because my face and hands are wetter, so it dissolves the product faster. I also recommend that you buy this product on Amazon. You can get it for much cheaper than in a salon or on the Dermalogica web site. Truly a great product.

Pressed Powders -Tarte - Provocateur Mineral Powder

I initially gave this product a negative review because I thought it was too sheer (I am acne-prone and had some breakouts I wanted to cover). But once I invested in some good concealer (Boi-ing by Benefit- AMAZING stuff) it gave me enough coverage. Although...I sort of don't need to wear foundation now that I have such great concealer.

Hair -Manic Panic - Virgin Snow Toner
r0semarysays 4/24/2011 7:18:00 AM
I have very overprocessed brown-to-platinum hair that has a tendency to get brassy which looks TERRIBLE on me. I bought this toner to counteract the brassiness, because it was cheaper than getting my hair toned in the salon, and because I've had good experiences with Manic Panic in the past (the dyes stay bright WEEKS on my bleached hair). Not too impressed with this product though. I put it in my hair, leave it for an hour or so, and then rinse or wash it out. It looks great right after I do it but it turns brassy again after one shampoo! If you leave it in overnight it can turn your tips slightly grey. But personally I think that looks pretty cool... Will not buy this product again. Going to start using Shimmer Lights instead.
