Never got past trying it on in Sephora. The fragrance in this made my eyes burn so much it made my eyes water. For the 30 seconds I could wear it it was lovely. Then it just had to come off. Why in the world is there so much fragrance in this mascara?

Polishes -Essie - Ballet Slippers

I love the color, just not this polish! It's streaky even after three coats, hard to apply with this little tiny brush and it take soooooooooo long to dry that in ding it up every time. I have tried on 4 seperate occasions to make this polish work because, like i said, i really do love the color. But there's just no way to do it. Sigh, its going back to Walgreens tomorrow.

I wanted to love this, but I don't. Well that's not exactly true, there are things about it that I really like; it covers well, doesn't change colors and has a great finish. But it's breaking me out. I actually have pimples for the first time in years and I end up applying more foundation to cover, which breaks me out more. I like this foundation in theory, not in practice. Still on the hunt for a good full coverage, foundation. Sigh - back to CVS for me!

For very specific reasons, I loved this mascara. But sweet, merciful heavens - trying to get it off was a living nightmare. I lost a LOT of lashes the first time and resorted to using olive oil the 2nd time. Still, my lashes were long, thick, lush, plush, curled, fanned out. Absolutely beautiful. Until that dreaded moment at the sink right before bed when it won't come off the any reason using any remover. I still love The Falsies, but I'll be buying the regular instead of the waterproof from now on.

Mascara -Bare Escentuals - Big Tease Mascara

Like others, I bought this on a whim, and returned it 3 days later. It added absolutely nothing to my lashes except color, it wipes out a curl completely and fades to nothingness in 3 hours. I am blessed with long, thick black lashes to begin with but at the end of the day I would swear I didn't have mascara on. Until I went to take it off and then there were large black stains under both eyes. I didn't get any smudging like others did, but then I didn't get any volume or length either. Back to Glam Eyes for me.

I've struggled for years trying to find a good color match for my almost but not quite olive skin but this foundation in Honey is spot on. I have several scars that this covers nicely. A good brush applies this nicely and give me enough control to build coverage in specific areas. Sets beautifully in the morning on my oily skin with a dusting of loose powder and I don't get breakthrough until about 2 in the afternoon. I think I've finally found my HG foundation!

i love this color! For as saturated a color as it is, it is also truly a neutral putty-taupe like others have said. I was afraid that it wasn't really "age-appropriate" for me, but it looks lovely and not overpowering on short natural nails. the brush does indeed take some getting used to, but by the 3rd nail I had it down. It's the first time I was actually able to fully coat a nail in just 3 strokes - 1 down the middle and 2 on the sides. After 2 coats the color was bottle perfect. Try it!

Liquid -Boots - No7 Intelligent Balance Foundation Mousse

Living in a small southern town sometimes has it's downsides, like the local Target rarely has testers for the Boots products. Even after reading all the reviews here I resisted this foundation for months because the colors in the jars just look so dark and Target didn't have testers available. I actually got a chance to sample the Almond at a girlfriend's house and I fell in love with the color, texture and coverage. I have really oily skin and this mattifies and covers old acne scars beautifully. I practically don't need a concealer any longer. This stuff is magic - give it a try!

Can't believe I resisted buying this for so long, but it's an HG for me now! I use it religiously every night and usually at least once during the day. Within a week my cuticles were noticibly softer and within 2 my cuticles as well as nails were healthier and stronger. Won't be without this now! Yes I wish it came in a dropper, but until it does I'll just be careful with the furniture and clothes.

This is my HG mascara! After balking for a while due to the reviews here, i finally broke down and bought this in Black. 1 coat looks completely natural - just defined. 2 or 3 coats and my lashes are full, thick, long and lifted. All without being clumped together and no need to use a lash comb at all! The brush is ideal for me; i honestlygreat size and easy to use; I have no clue how it does what it does - but it does it beautifully!

Loose Powders -Boots - No. 7 Perfect Light Portable Loose Powder

This is the one and only "translucent" product I have ever been able to wear on my olive skin. Most are too pink, but this one is actually neutral. The application is easy and smart packaging makes it completely portable. Quickly became an HG for me after the first use.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Telescopic Explosion

I generally avoid L'Oreal mascaras because I always get racoon eyes after about 4 hours. But not this time! Yes the little ball brush increases application time, but every single teeny weeny lash is coated and there were no "accidents" like I usually get on the skin under my bottom lashes where I bump up against it when I try to apply mascara on the bottom. 2 coats was plenty and my lashes looked long, full and fanned out. Didn't flake and didn't smudge after 2 full shifts waiting tables. The Blackest Black was plenty black for my olive skin and dark brown eyes and lashes. EDIT: Don't know why this didn't bother me before, the this gets "crispy" after about 5 hours. My lashes get stiff and brittle with no flexibility at all. Sigh. Still on the hunt for an HG mascara.

Loose Powders -Palladio - Rice Powder in Warm Beige

I so wanted to love this stuff. It is reviewed so well here, it's affordable, I even *like* the smell. It looked wonderful when I first applied it. Soft and airy but still covered well, the color was a perfect match for my olive skin. After a few hours, when I usually start to get an oily breakthrough this powder had turned a most unsightly orange. I blotted well and didn't reapply, but it was still orange. Then after another few hours (about 6 total) it felt like my makeup was hovering over the top of my skin and I could scrape it right off. I tried it again a few times thinking that it was my application, but it wasn't. It really was the powder's fault. I thought it might be the color and went right back to Sally's and bought the Natural, but it did the same thing. This just wasn't for me.

I have been using this religously for 3 years and now I won't be without it, it has become HG for me. It doesn't seem to make my nails grow much faster but they are MUCH healthier and stronger. Has little effect in cuticles, but that's not what it's meant for. Very thin consistency makes it easy to rub in and it's not greasy or oily. Very fresh smelling. It does get a little thick when you're down to the last little bit. The only problem I have with it is the silver leaf on the cap flakes off within 2 weeks and you end up with little silver flakes all over. Now I always wrap a rubber band around the cap when I first buy it. Works great!

I just love this stuff! One drop per nail and my nails are dry to the touch in 60 seconds. It penetrates into my cuticles as well and leave them so soft and healthy, which I wasn't expecting. I have problems with most quick-dry top coats being brittle and chipping, so I can use any top coat I want and this dries my entire manicure quickly and easily. Smells great too!
