Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Gash eyeshadow
quantumkitten 1/11/2005 12:27:00 AM
This was my very first UD eyeshadow, and it is still one of the gems of my collection. It is a deep shimmery burgundy that builds into a strong, dark red. I love the look of red eyeshadow, but it can be overly dramatic, and Gash can be used more subtly. It makes my green eyes look positively amazing.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Bathos Bubble Bar ] [DISCONTINUED]

It smells so good, like you're in a sexy bathful of sugared violets. I use this when I want to feel like a goddess, and Lordy, it works. And the bubbles? DIVINE! I can get between 4 and 8 bubbly baths out of a single bar. It's delicious.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Half Baked Eyeshadow
quantumkitten 1/10/2005 2:47:00 PM
If I could wear one and only one shadow for the rest of my life, this would be it. It's a warm, shimmery gold that looks divine on warm-toned skin. Applied lightly, you get a champagne-style wash that's nicely flattering, but I prefer this with black liner and red lips for an evening sexy look. It also blends well with other UD shadows (I use it particularly often with Gash and Chains) for a stronger eye. It's high-pigment and smooth-applying like most all other UD shadows, and absolutely wearable, unlike many. It's my Bond Girl eyeshadow. I love it.

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara Waterproof
quantumkitten 1/10/2005 2:42:00 PM
I've been using Great Lash for years because it's such a highly recommended classic, and whom am I to part with tradition? I have naturally very long and curved lashes, so I don't really need fancy formulations, plus I prefer a more natural look, which this gives me. I tried the waterproof formulation recently because I wanted staying power, but I found that the extra effort it takes to get it off at night isn't worth it—it tends to pull out a few lashes in the process. I prefer the regular Great Lash in Blackest Black.

Eyeliner -Stila - Smudge Pot in Black
quantumkitten 1/10/2005 2:34:00 PM
I've only had this for a month, so I can't vouch on the drying-up effect people have experienced yet. It's very rich, black, and creamy, and stays on all day. I have yet to figure out how to get this to smudge really well, but, fortunately, that's not what I bought it for. I've found that I love using this with an eyeliner brush for a nice 50s star liquid line lilt. It's much easier for me than any prepackaged liquid liner that I've tried, and I'm kind of dumb at this stuff. With Stila's Starlight shadow swept underneath it from lash to brow bone, it looks divine.

Lipstick -Rimmel - Lasting Finish - Kasbah
quantumkitten 1/10/2005 2:28:00 PM
This lipstick is a beautiful metallic, rich orange coral, very flattering on my warm FFF skin, but I could see how the orange in it could be very harsh on others. The texture is much better than what you would expect for the price. It's creamy and smooth. It smells absolutely delicious, like coconut chocolate candy or something. It's good for the days when you're not quite feeling red lipstick, but you're close.

Concealers -NARS - Ginger
quantumkitten 1/9/2005 1:41:00 PM
I've been searching for the perfect concealer for years now, but they're all so *pink*. I've found NARS face color products to be different, and I lit upon Ginger right out. This stuff is yellow. I'm yellow. It's a match made in heaven! Amazing for dark circles, and it covers my blemishes rather well, too.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Chains eyeshadow [DISCONTINUED]
quantumkitten 1/9/2005 1:38:00 PM
I bought this warm, shimmery olive (not "true gold") shadow in hopes that it would be useful in creating an earthy smoky eye. I know wearing green shadow on green eyes is a no-no, but I bit anyway. The texture and color is as luxurious and lovely as we have come to expect from UD's shadows. The color is, well, green. But it's such a beautiful, rich green that I ignore the fact that it de-emphasizes my olivey-green eyes and still wear it sometimes. I find it mixes well with UD's Half Baked in the inner corners and Crash in the outer, blended solidly. If your eyes are greenish at all, try before you buy. If not, you are a lucky lady.

Fragrances -Urban Decay - Sin
quantumkitten 1/9/2005 1:33:00 PM
Here in this cute little bottle in its cute little leopard bag lies a perfume oil with the essence of Dior Addict minus the alcoholic harshness. Addict has been my staple (along with No. 5) since it came out, but it is a bit heavy...like wearing stilettos to the supermarket, it screams just a little too much for my tastes. Enter Sin, a slightly lighter perfume but just as delicious and sexy. Do not wear this around anybody you don't want hitting on you. It's dangerous, wonderful stuff.

Lip Gloss -Urban Decay - XXX Shine Lip Gloss
quantumkitten 11/13/2004 7:29:00 PM
I own this gloss in Id and have had to restrain myself from buying some of the other colors. The gloss is tacky without being sticky and offers a great balance of shimmer and shine. The minty flavor is nice. I like the ease of the tube, as well. I wear this very often. Id is incredibly flattering on my warm FFF skin. I'm sure I eventually will own more.

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - Smoke Out eye pencil
quantumkitten 11/13/2004 7:22:00 PM
I bought this because I thought it would make my favorite smoky eyes easier. It turns out that it's a smooth, poor-wearing eyeliner dressed up to look like a neat product. The idea is really great, but I found the pencil itself to smudge in a not-smoky, not-sexy way. It was also less black and more of a muddy grey (even when used wet). Finally, the pencil is nearly impossible to sharpen, due to the bizarre layer of plastic (?) between the wood and the pencil core. I never use it.

Styling Products -Bumble & Bumble - Prep
quantumkitten 11/13/2004 7:16:00 PM
Prep is okay as a detangler, but I haven't found that it has improved the way my hair looks or manages in any way. It smells good, but I would rather spend the money on the Bumble + bumble conditioners, which are excellent in my opinion.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Starlight Eye Shadow

Surprisingly flattering on my warm skin. Super cute with lots of black shadow and dark lips. Smooth, and very shimmery without looking cheap. I wear it more than any other shadow I own.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Dandelion
quantumkitten 11/13/2004 7:10:00 PM
Dandelion is supposed to be universally flattering, but it's still a little pink on my warm-toned skin. I've found that ditching the brush that comes in the cute-but-impractical packaging and using a fan brush instead allows me to better control the color, and I use it more often now. (I put it on on top of my moisturizer but under my powder foundation). It's very smooth, pretty, and not too obvious.

Eyeliner -Lancome - Le Crayon Kohl
quantumkitten 9/15/2004 8:53:00 PM
I have been using this eyeliner since I first started wearing eyeliner (my mom used it and bought some for me). It is incredibly smooth and offers a precise line that can be smudged into something smokier. I have yet to find another eyeliner that I love as much as this—I use the brun noir and noir shades almost every day. It wouldn't stand up to swimming, crying, or a rough eye rubbing, but for my purposes, it's definitely my everyday HG.
