Hair Color -Clairol - Nice n' Easy Foam
qpid 3/15/2011 4:09:00 PM
My hair is drying now from using this, so thought I'd post while it is still fresh in my mind. Mixing was a breeze and we had no trouble squeezing the bottle, even at the end. It came out foamy, more like styling mousse texture, which made spreading it evenly easier than with a runny liquid. It does stain very easily though, so be careful with walls and floors. I found it rinsed out easier than almost any other perm color I've used and the conditioner is a pleasant coconut smell that left my hair really soft. I was not impressed with there only being 2 small foil packs of the conditioner (one to use when you color, the other a week later) when regular Nice & Easy comes with a tube. Why not just put the same conditioner in the foam version? I took off a lippie for this. As for the color, I used medium golden brown and love it. It actually looks exactly like the box even on my dark brown hair - and my hair is usually difficult to lighten. There are lots of tone variation too, so the color doesn't look flat. I've never used the regular Nice & Easy, so I can't compare the two as far as color goes, but I am pleased with this. Overall I was pleased, but I'd advise swinging by Sally's to pick up a tube of after-color conditioner (or a tube of N&E conditioner which you cen buy separately now) to have on hand for the weeks after you color.

Moisturizers -Olay - Provitale Night Firming Cream
qpid 5/10/2010 12:34:00 PM
UPDATE: After a while of being renamed Complete Plus Night cream, this had finally been discontinued by Olay. I didn't see it on their site and emailed, got the reply in this morning. However, they have a new one in the Anti-Wrinkle line, Anti-Wrinkle Night Firming Cream Mature Skin that seems to be the replacement. The ingredients list is pretty much identical to the Provitale/Complete Plus night cream.

Shampoo -Neutrogena - T/Gel anti-dandruff for normal to dry hair
qpid 10/19/2009 3:19:00 PM
Tried this a few times and instead of helping, it seemed to irritate the condition and make it far worse. The smell is bad too. Switched to Head & Shoulders Ocean Breeze and it's worked wonderfully

Shampoo -Head and Shoulders - Ocean Breeze Anti-Dandruff Shampoo
qpid 10/19/2009 3:16:00 PM
My issue is flaky, scaly patches in a few areas, not all over. Still, flake city. T/Gel did nothing and really seemed to make it much worse. I was using Garnier's ant-dandruff shampoo and liked it but even here I was never flake free and after 3 or 4 days, the patches were back. I have not been able to get Garnier lacally so tried this H&S Ocean Breeze and LOVE it. I have dry hair so I don't shampoo every day, more like every few and so far, I am at 6 days (Had a cold and was lazy) and not one flaky patch has reappeared. I am both amazed and happy as I have fought this for ages.

Lip Gloss -Mary Kay - Lip gloss
qpid 2/25/2009 11:06:00 PM
While I like the colors a lot, I found they left an odd taste in my mouth after a while. the other issue I have is that every single one I have bought leaks. With so many other wonderful glosses available everywhere you look (and far easier to get to), I will be passing these up.

Lips -E.L.F. - Plumping Lip Glaze

Like others here, the taste of this was completely nasty.. to the point I wiped it off and brushed my teeth to get rid of the taste in my mouth. I had this same issue with the hypershine gloss too.

Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara Waterproof
qpid 4/23/2008 5:09:00 PM
Okay, I finally tried this based on the reviews here and I echo the sentiment of "Why did I wait so long to try it?" I wear contacts after a long break form them so went in search of a mascara that was waterproof and did not flake, but would give volume. Finally! This gave volume, not by making my lashes looked I was wearing a dozen thick fat ones (like soem volumizers do, you get what I mean), but it somehow looked as if I'd added a bunch of extra lashes. No flakes no smudging and it came off easily with eye makeup remover. Love it!

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum Express Waterproof

Initially, it looked great on - no clumps, nice and full lashes that were not stiff but nice and soft. Sadly after about four hours on, it began to flake terribly. I had fine black powder under my eyes and it got into my eyes to the point of irritation and watering so no go with my contacts.

Toners -Boots - No7 Soft & Soothed Gentle Toner
qpid 3/27/2008 8:00:00 PM
I have finally found a toner I would actually buy again. I have a very hard time with toners on my dry, sensitive face and yet I love using them. L'oreal's Hydrafresh is good and my usual but with all the Boots hype, I decided to give this one a try and I am glad I did. It has no real discernible fragrance, it is not drying and not at all irritating. It does what a toner should do: freshens and removes leftover cleanser traces. I have also found it soothing to my skin. I have to give kudos on the packaging too. It has a pump top with a cap over it. Well done.

Moisturizers -Avon - Ageless Results Overnight Renewing Cream

Great night cream! My super sensitive skin has no problems with it, it moisturizes very well without being greasy and leave my skin really soft. I can really tell a difference the next day. So far, no breakouts at all. As I said in y review of the day cream from this line, I think Avon has a winner here and I hope it stays around.

Moisturizers -Avon - Ageless Results Renewing Day Cream Spf 15

I am very happy with this. I agree that the dispenser is a great size. I , too, like the smell. It makes my skin super soft and it looks great - much smoother. I am thrilled to report no sensitivity issues, especially pleasing since sunscreens can be a big culprit for that bus so far no problems at all. Very moisturizing without being greasy. I think Avon has a winner with this line, I just hope it does not get discontinued like so many things with Avon.

I am really liking this eye cream. I have a hard time finding eye creams that do not irritate my eyes and had had no problems with this. I, too, have seen some lightening of my dark circles already and it sinks in fast and does not leave my eye area greasy. A definite keeper.

I have to agree with those below: I really wanted to like this cream as it seemed to be just the thing for what I wanted to do with my skin. Sadly, I break out in painful cystic pimples every time I use this.

I also have a problem with eye creams causing my eyes to tear and sting and had problems with this one. It seems to be decent at moisturizing but it also caused several large milia-type bumps to form in my undereye area that are taking a while to go away.

Skincare - Face -Principal Secret - Advanced Continuous Moisture with Hydrospheres
qpid 1/24/2008 3:03:00 PM
LOVE it! I have dry sensitive skin and had no issues with this at all, nor did I have to reapply halfway through the day as I have with other things - kept my face soft and moisturized all day. The scent is faint, slightly citrusy and gone almost as soon as I put it on. I found it very pleasant. I was also surprised the sunscreen in it did not irritate as most do to me. I generally avoid using everyday moisturizers with sunscreen when I am inside as I have problems with sensitivity, so this gets a big plus for that. It does come in a jar/tub but I son;t have a problem with that, I just use a small plastic cosmetic spatula. One note, it spreads out very well so it does not take much at all. As such, what you get for the money goes a long way. Based on me experience with this, I am trying some other things in the Advanced line (will review in the future), I tried the Reclaim line and did not like it at all - far too irritating and I have concerns about Argirilene use long term since it seems to me that constantly relaxing my facial muscles could lead to more sagging, not less. .
