Moisturizers -Clinique - Pore Refining Solutions Stay-Matte Hydrator

i have the oiliest yet most dehydrated of skin plus I live in the humid climate in the tropics. leaves skin super matte but not moist... feels parched dry after using this esp after in an air-conditioned environment. doubt it has anti-aging benefits. not really keen to use after a few times... into the bin it goes.
Bought the new formulation Soothing Cleansing Oil, I find this dries out my skin. Rinses well, smells nice but I still prefer my Fancl Cleansing Oil. :) I'm into the Oil Cleansing Method (OCM) at the moment, it helps remove my oil clogs and dead skin cells much better than any scrub or masks I've ever used so I can't really comment on how well this removes makeup.

For a cleanser this inexpensive it foams nicely and doesn't strip my skin at all. I have dehydrated combo skin with a acne prone oily t-zone and this cleanser leaves it very comfortable, neither taut nor dry even after I have used it to wash off my excess Fancl cleansing oil. Only quibble is the slight plastic scent but then again I rather have my skincare unscented, less irritants this way. Give it a try!
I picked this up in Taipei at a LUSH store when the SA looked at my badly peeling sunburnt skin and highly recommended this. This is a wonderfully soothing oat mask which is creamy in texure and really easy to spread. Lightly moisturized and reduced redness on my skin, very pleased! Reading the other reviews I can understand why it looks like vomit but my batch didn't smell bad at all, just nice mushroomy and oat fragrance. Looking forward to trying more of the fresh masks range!
Do not waste your money on this! This product is a total fail. I thought I'd give this a spin when I went to Tokyo recently in cool autumn weather. The first day I used it it left my lips peeling and painfully cracked :( It doesn't feel moisturizing at all and seems to just sit on top of my lips instead of melting in. Luckily my friend lent me her By Terry Baume de Rose which somewhat saved the day. Ironically I had packed along another Hauschka product called 'Labimint Acute Lip Care' which I received as a GWP. This worked wonders! Wonderfully healing and soothing with a minty feel. It's like a light cream which almost dried to nothing when massaged in, leaving only soft cushiony lips. No glossy/oily looking lips which I hate. I actually like this better than the expensive and highly raved By Terry Baume de Rose. So please splurge on Labimint Acute Lip Care instead of this useless tube stick lip balm! http://www.dr.hauschka-med.de/english/products/med-lips/labimint-acute-lip-care/
I don't use this to remove makeup, more to deep cleanse every few days my very oily T-zone combo skin. It's more effective than the usual grainy exfoliators at removing white oil plugs that constantly plagues my skin! I can feel the dead skin cells coming off when it's massaged all over my face. Very easy to rinse off and I follow with my Lush Angels cleanser. Skin feels really smooth as a baby's whenever I use this. Doesn't dry out my skin unlike the DHC one I used before and this has no preservatives :)
Moisturizers -Origins - Make A Difference Skin Rejuvenating Treatment

Expensive jar full of silicones which did not moisturize or improve my skin texture, complete waste of money. I wake up the next morning and my skin feels dry with a weird silicone-y plastic feel.
Treatments -L'Occitane - Immortelle Brightening Serum

Not sure what this does for me. Doesn't moisturize, doesn't fade spots or scars and doesn't improve my skin texture. Weird dry oil that sits on my skin instead of absorbing. Deciding now whether to bin it.
---- Added 13th Nov 2011 ---- Found another better cleanser in Lush's Angels on Bare Skin (Japan Forumla). Cleanses my oily skin better and leaves it more soft and moisturized than Dr Hauschka, give Lush a try! ---- Original Review ---- omg i can imagine why this is a cult product after using it for 2 weeks. my skin feels so beautifully soft and balanced after washing my face with this, never tight never dry. when i first started using it I sorta missed the squeaky clean feel of my foam cleanser but I got used to it. this leaves a moisturising layer after you rinse off, there's is no oily after-feel for me... just soft smooth skin. my foaming cleansers always left my combination and dehydrated skin parched dry, and i think results in skin trying to overcompensate by pumping out more oil. with this cleansing cream, it feels so balanced out so oil glands don't go into overdrive. i've hardly broken out so far too! i love the gentle press-and-roll technique to cleanse, feels like a mini facial spa on me twice a day. very relaxing and calming once i'm done with the whole toner and cream routine. dislike the metal tube dispenser for this as mentioned in some reviews, they can't be all perfect right? :)
---- Added 13thNov 2011 ---- ok i'm taking my original glowing review back. this actually makes my skin oilier, waaay oilier. I end up using 10 blotting sheets at the end of the day whenever I use this compared to 2 sheets when I don't put anything on my face. And oilier skin adds to more clogged pores and muddy looking complexion :( ---- Original Review ---- i'm surprised there isn't a review for this new product, I am in love! This lemony smelling cream just what my dry with oily T-zone skin needs. Absorbs quickly into the skin with no oily film, only a matte finish. Keeps my skin moisturized, controls redness and hasn't caused any breakouts the 2 weeks I've been using it so far. There's reduced oiliness but to expect it to completely control would require a miracle for my skin. Very pleased using this together with the Cleansing Cream and Toner from the Dr. Hauschka range so far. My skin gets a pampering facial spa twice a day with all the nice pressing techniques used :) Just not too hot on the metal tube packaging so far, looks like it's going to rip a hole in the middle from all that folding.
Lip Treatments -L'Occitane - Ultra riche 10% Shea butter lip balm
qoo77 7/16/2011 12:59:00 AM
Pure crap, doesn't moisturize at all. waxy. Feels weird on the lips, just sits there in a layer which does nothing. Mine came in a white tube stick and not the circular tin the brand usually uses. I kept a tube of this around to remind myself to post a lousy review on MUA before throwing it away so fellow readers can avoid wasting money on it like I did. Use something that works like the Intense Therapy lip balm from the brand Jack Black. or if u feel like splurging the one from By Terry! :) Now into the bin this thing goes!

All I could think of is the body odour effect of cumin. Pretty sad considering how much I love the unadulterated pepper scent without the cumin.
Fragrances -Comme des Garcons - Incense Series Kyoto
qoo77 9/10/2010 7:26:00 AM
Not sure what this is, the out of this world descriptions compared to the actual scent does not match up for me. This is definitely not the soothing, gentle and hypnotic fragrance of the incense sticks I miss from my trips to Japan. Just a bad cologne masquerading as it, muddled with a lot of other notes.
This is an excellent pure tea rose scent, the soapy kind that lingers on your hands after washing with expensive English rose scented soap or handwash. Reminds me of the English brand Crabtree & Evelyn. It's very linear with a touch of sandalwood and musk. My colleague asked me where was the potpourri fragrance coming from, ha. Perfect for layering!
Fragrances -L'Artisan Fragrances - Vanilia [DISCONTINUED]
qoo77 9/6/2010 11:47:00 AM
I keeping wondering to myself where's the vanilla whenever I test this, it's buried deep somewhere by the amber and overly sweet ylang ylang. Definitely smells like a 1978 creation, not something for me.
