I have used two bottle of this perfume so far! The scents it very distinctive, a subtle fresh "green apple mixed with newly washed clothes" smell. Like most DKNY delicious perfumes it is subtle and blends very well with my natural scent. When I wear it people say "wow you smell good" and not "are you wearing perfume" - which is a good sign to me! I wore it for 1-2 years straight, almost everyday - and I still like it! But in the end I got a little tired of the smell - which I tend to do after I wear something for very long. However 2 years is long for me in the "scent" department. So final verdict: Not my all time favorite perfume, but it is up there!
On contrast to most of the other reviews who find the scent boring, I LOVE this perfume - and it is the only one I have I never get tired of! I absolutely hate heavy sweet floral scents, and I am not to keen on very fresh sporty scents either - and this one is just in between! The scent is very light and on me it smells even better than in the bottle! I always get compliments when I wear it, and even from strangers! I feel like I smell clean when I wear it, like newly washed bedsheets and rain! And I recently found out it won in a perfume contest here in scandinavia where 2000 men had to smell 100 different perfumes and pick the one they liked the most :D So I guess most guys aren't keen on heavy scents either! As the scent changes on you (like most perfumes) I would advice you try to spray some on you, and see if it "fits" :) I love it so much!
My favorite "nude" lipstick at the moment. (I am the palest pale person, with pink undertones) Bobbi brown never seem to fail me when it comes to lipsticks, they always have a lot of great natural hues (which I love) and the consistency of the lipsticks are always smooth and creamy! The color of this shade is pretty pigmented, however still opaque enough to blend with the natural shade underneath. - I love it! The creaminess unfortunately also cause less lasting power, which is a bummer :/ But it still stay on for quite some time though! BB have a pretty wide range for really pale skin tones, and this one in particular do very well on pale skin! When I wear it, I get a very ballerina feel because the color is so light and neutral pink. It goes with both light plummy, pink and coral blushes and even look nice on tan/bronzed skin! I think that it due to the neutral shade, it it neither blueish or orangy. Finding good looking nudes are always a struggle for me! (Mac's "nude" lipsticks fx often look wrong on me, they are either too pink or white, making me look either washed out or like a clown - and usually too thick in consistency for my taste! A lot of them also tend to make my lips look cakey and dry - However I do own a few Mackies I really like!) Anyway.. Back to subject! 4/5 stars! Thank YOU Bobbi Brown!
NARS blushes never seem to let me down! (I don't know how to include pics directly so just copy this link http://img.makeupalley.com/0/6/9/5/2428292.JPG and see it on my cheek) I am utterly, exceptionally PALE with pink undertones, and I NEED to wear blush and/or bronzers if I don't want to look like a corps! :) But being so pale also make most blushers look super harsh on me! Yet I find many NARS blushes to fit my needs, as they have a wide range of blushers that work for super pale skin! Deep throat is my HG for summer, and I think this has become my HG for winter! (I wouldn't use it with a bronzer, as I suspect they might clash!) It can be harsh looking if I pile it on (in comparison, deep throat can also look harsh if I pile it on), a dap or two give me the right amount. It gives me a very natural winter flush! It is almost the color of my natural flush, and it just look so pretty on me! I was so surprised as it look a bit dull in the pan! It is a very pigmented cool plum with very little sparkle (however NOT mat). VERDICT: If you aren't into the very pinkish/coral type blushers, or have a very cool skin tone, this might be a good option for you! NARS I humbly bow to you in appreciation!
Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation

I really like this foundation!! It is medium coverage, and has a very light feel. It is buildable without getting cakey and you get a very nice glow. On my oily skin it does cause grease within a few hours but I feel it can be postponed with a dap of setting powder or primer underneath. However too greasy for my taste ! I would recommend it for dry/medium skin tones but also urge oily skin types to try it out and see if they can make it work. If you have a lot of discoloration or acne and you need to cover up I say skip this one as it doesn't cover enough for that. 4/5 stars! UPDATE: After wearing it for a couple of weeks I have discovered It gives me light acne if I wear it too much :( So unfortunately, 3/5 stars
I am very fair, usually a 01-02 in all brands (look at my profile pictures for reference) and this blush look very good on me. 1.) I am super pale and yet is does not look harsh on me, no matter how much I apply! 2.) Even though it is a warm shade, I can still wear it with my cool undertones (It is cooler than Orgasm) 3.) It does not have as much sparkle as Orgasm, which usually goes better with lighter skin tones I would recommend darker/warmer skin tones to try out Orgasm as well, but recommend all pale/medium complexions to get Depp Throat! The blushes are on the expensive side, but they are also very pigmented and last a long time. (about a year, worn everyday) Orgasm = A mix of pink and peach, with bold golden shimmer and warm undertones. Deep throat = Like Orgasm, yet the intensity is turned down a notch and the gold shimmer is a lot softer and less "yellow" in my opinion. My final verdict: If you are lucky enough to have a medium-dark complexion Orgasm is for you, otherwise get Deep throat <3
Best eyeshadow palette I have EVER had, I use it almost every single day! PROS: The colors are universally flattering earthy tones The palette contain both muted and bright choices, so there is something for both daytime and nighttime. The colors are very pigmented yet easy to blend All the colors go well together They last all day if worn with a primer underneath CONS: There aren't a lot of mat choices (only 2), most of them have subtle shimmer. Talc is a main ingredient in many of the eyeshadows. The packaging (velvet covered cardboard) doesn't last well and look dirty in a matter of weeks and the gold letters stamped across the front break down quickly EXTRA: Note: This palette is the warm choice palette while Naked II is cool. The brush that comes with the palette is nothing special, very 'meh'. (^-^)/ <3
Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Rosebud Salve

Jesus crist! HOW on EARTH do this product receive so many stars! Read the ingredients people! It is made from 1. Petrolatum 2. Cotton Seed Oil 3. Trade Secret Perfume It is basically Vasoline with rose oil - saying that it is a better moisturizer and that Vasoline is different is NONSENSE! Sure It's moisturizing but it is almost 100 pct Vasoline!! Paying 10 double the amount for this product which is basically just a a jar of Vasoline with rose scent oil and cute packaging is crazy! I don't get it, I feel like this is a scam for women.
I bought this gloss on a trip to the US. I absolutely fell in love with the color and wore it almost everyday through out the summer! The color is like NARS orgasm blush but in gloss form, with a little added shine. It looks really really nice on me in the summer, but too shimmery and peachy-orange in winter. Not just because I get sunkissed, but it is like the texture is less sticky and more smooth in warmer weather. The staying power is just 'meh', and you will (according to clima) have to reapply after meals and after about 1-2 hours after normal wear. Still love it though! NARS is the only company I have stumpled across who have this gorgeous unique 'peach-pink-light-yellow sparke' blend! I don't know what ill do if they one day discontinue it!
I don't think this blush gets the credit it deserves! I would call this blush a mattish, very pigmented, ashy, baby pink color! A few years ago I was possessed with baby pink blushers, but my obsession slowly turned into more peachy tones over the years, and I forgot how much I liked this blush! My other favorites are NARS "deep throat" (warm pink peach), MAC's "dainty" (more pink and cool than deep throat), The Body Shop in "petal" and I recently tried Benefits "dandelion" which look a bit similar to this, in the pot - but comes no wear near when applied ! I think this is a good blush on pale pink skin, and pale yellow skin - However I wouldn't recommend it on medium-dark skin tones as I think it will look a bit artificial (think barbie). I really like this blush as it gives me a healthy glow, and I love the light "summer ballerina" look it creates on me! I recommend using it with a little babypink gloss/lipbalm as it will keep you from the dreaded "light pink cheeks, red'ish mouth" look. I really like this blush and it is one of my favorites - 4 stars!!
I was very hyped to get this blush/highlighter as there are so few blushers that look good on me, I am simply too pale! Pros: I like the color in the pan, and it smells heavenly! (rosy/floral scent) It goes on nicely and leaves a streak of sheer soft pink color with VERY subtle shimmer. It is very mat and stay that way. It did not make me break out. Cons: However this will never be my favorite! I find that it often looks unflattering on me if I put too much on, as it looks a little chalky. I also think it flushes me out a little. I think I have more of a healthy glow when I am wearing NARS deep throat, and I don't find myself reaching for this as often as I would have hoped. If you want a light baby pink blush and this doesn't cut it for you I would recommend smashbox in prism - it is a bit more pigmented and not as chalky but otherwise pretty close in color. (NOTE: I only recommend prism for paler skin tones) I give it 3 stars as I think it is a nice product, it generally looks nice and natural on most pale people, but I would under no circumstances recommend it on darker skintones, not even medium as it IS very sheer. I would also be careful if I had very dry/mature skin as it is very mat! It is also very annoying that the packaging is of such bad quality (cute though), it easily gets battered just from being carried in your purse!
Highlighters -NARS - Highlighting Blush Powder in Albatross
puttay 3/1/2013 3:19:00 PM
One of my favorite products, I use it everyday! Gives a nice luminous glow! It gives a subtle white-goldish sheen with just the right amount of smoothness! Usually I don't do well with yellow products as I am very pale with pink undertones, but with a bronzer (I use Laguna) and a peach/pink blush it looks super nice! At first I only used it on my cheekbones, then I started using it on my lips, now I also use it on my brow bone, the corners of my eyes and my nose bone - and now pretty much all the bone in my face is covered in this sparkly godness! The only people I would advice not to use it are people with wrinkly/flakey/acne covered skin, as it will make it even more noticeable! Or maybe advice them just to use it on their smooth features :) I would also advice people with pink undertones to combine it with another "warm" product (like I do) to make it blend better! Otherwise go for a highlighter with pink undertones (I recommend benefits) But for me as far as highlighters go, I dont think it gets any better than this <3
Loose Powders -Urban Decay - Razor Sharp Ultra Definition Finishing Powder
puttay 2/28/2013 4:30:00 PM
OMG. Best setting powder I have ever tried :D I bought this because my usual mattifying powder was out of stock, so I bought this in stead! And I am so happy I did !!!!!!!!! The powder is so fine, it makes your skin feel like silk and it is so light ! I have never had a powder that make my skin look so good. It keeps my face matte all day long (I wear MUFE mat velvet underneath, which on its own make my skin shiny after about 4-6 hours). It also doesn't clog pores, look chalky or smell. I think it looks very natural, and you can barely see it on the skin, it just make you look mat and healthy! and your skin feels so soft! The only CON I can think of is the packaging, the sponge/puff applicator is worthless and a waste of space - it gets dirty quickly and does not apply well. (use a powder brush instead) If you don't use the puff applicator you are left with one option: Taking of the lid - but that is sometimes messy as it is easy for the powder to get everywhere. - A disgrace to such a fine product!
Hands down the best bronzer I have ever used!! I have had many struggles finding a good bronzer because I am so fair, and most of them are too dark, make me look dirty, orange or too glittery. This is the first bronzer that make me look sun-kissed without appearing orange, glittery or dirty! I use it almost everyday and it just make my blue eyes pop :) I also think it shows up nicely on photos, and doesn't contribute to oily skin but actually help you stay matt'ish with a healthy glow - It doesn't contribute to my acne either :) I would recommend Laguna for all light - medium skin tones (no matter if you have pink or yellow undertones it still looks flattering) However I think it might be too light for people with darker complexions (and I would recommend NARS cali for them) It is pricey, but I have used it everyday for 6 months (on my face and throat) and I can't even see the bottom yet! Laguna + albatros = LOVE :D Final verdict: I love it!
I understand all the fuss about this blush, it is very flattering (on the right skin tone) however the reputation of being Universally flattering is not true at all! I think I was misled by makeupalley reviews because the majority of people making them have medium - dark complexions. I am very fair, usually a 01-02 in all brands and this blush look awful on me, for several reasons. 1. I am way too pale for the shade and it looks very harsh on me 2. It is not super great on people with cool undertones (me) 3. It has too much sparkle for my taste (however it still depends on your skin tone - it looked Fantastic on my mother who have a darker complexion and yellow undertones) I would recommend very pale people (and people with pink/cool undertones who does not wear this very well) to get NARS deep throat as: Orgasm = A mix of pink and peach, with bold golden shimmer and warm undertones.
