Masks -LUSH - Love Lettuce Mask

I have tried out a lot of the fresh face masks from LUSH but this one really is my favourite. I generally have dry and sensitive skin but I do have blackheads on my chin and enlarged pores on my nose, so I use this as a scrub as well. When you apply it, it dries up really tight, so your face will feel tight and you won't be able to smile or talk without little crumbs of the mask falling off. If you don't like masks that get really dry and tight, this might be not for you, but I always find the feeling to be pleasant. It makes the skin tingle a bit in a nice way. I don't think it's too harsh either, because I do have sensitive skin. When the mask has dried completely, I rinse my face with water. The mask gets wet again and now you can use it as a scrub. After I am done scrubbing, I just wash all of it off. The skin feels very refreshed and at first your pores do seem smaller as well. I think that effect might probably vanish again later on. After the mask, wiping your face with a toner and using a light moisturiser might be good, especially if you do have dry skin. Since LUSH fresh face masks are made from REALLY fresh ingredients, you have to keep them in your fridge all the time and use them up quickly. To be honest, it's quite hard to use up 100g in a month, so unfortunately, all of the masks that I have bought so far have gone bad after a while (more than a month, though, so they were legitly over their expiration date) and I had to throw away the remains. So if you buy a little pot, you have to consider that you have to use this up within a month. It might be a good idea to purchase a fresh mask together with a friend and divide it up. Since I really do like the mask's effect on my face, I ultimately have to say that I would buy this again, even considering its downsides.

Lotions/ Creams -LUSH - Sympathy for the Skin
rated 4 of 5

This is a very nice smelling and soothing cream. I mainly used it as a bodylotion. I feel like it is too light as a hand cream (especially in the colder season) and a bit too heavy as a face cream. It's very soothing for dry and irritated skin. I'd say it's at least as soothing and moisturising as the Dream Cream of the same brand. It costs slightly less than Dream Cream as well. If you don't use a lot of it, the amount will last a reasonable amount for the price. If your skin isn't sensitive when it comes to creams, then you might of course do fine with a cheaper cream from the drugstore, but if your skin is sensitive and gets irritated easily, this cream might be a better pick. Out of all the bodylotions from LUSH that I have tried, I like this one the best. However, it's not a must-have product for me.

Lotions/ Creams -LUSH - Dream Cream

I bought this because it was recommended for being soothing on dry and irritated skin. I used it as a bodylotion during a period where my skin had some bigger patches of excema due to stress. It's a rich cream without being greasy. It felt nice on my skin and absorbed in a reasonable amount of time. However, there was some ingredient in it that somehow irritated my skin, so I couldn't use it while my skin was irritated already. It didn't have a soothing effect for me. It was okay to use on portions of skin that were in normal condition, but when used on irritated skin, it made the condition a bit worse. That's why I will not buy it again. However, if you check the ingredients prior and make sure that you're not allergic to any of those ingredients, you might be lucky and get a soothing and moisturising cream. The price might be a bit expensive if you use a lot of it, but if you use it sparingly it lasts a reasonable amount of time.

Conditioner -LUSH - Jungle
rated 5 of 5

This is my all-time favourite conditioner. I have straight and thin hair, which tangles easily and this conditioner softens the hair and makes combing it much easier. I have also lended it to my boyfriend who has really long, thick and curly hair and for him it had the same effect. I also really like the scent, it's very fruity and smells like a jungle. Overall the thing that I like the most about this conditioner is how long it lasts! It easily lasts me through a year. I will definitely buy this conditioner again and again.

Moisturizers -LUSH - Imperialis

I really like this moisturiser. It's not too heavy for my skin but moisturises enough as well. I feel like it did balance out my skin in the T-zone as well. It's also very sensitive and never irritated my skin. It's also easy to mix with the Lush Colour Supplements to form a tinted moisturiser. I'm on my second tub of this moisturiser and will probably buy it again. One tub usually lasts me 6+ months, so I think the price is reasonable.

Cleansers -LUSH - Ultra Bland
rated 4 of 5

Ever since LUSH discontinued the Baby Face cleanser, I'm using this. I use it mainly to remove eye make-up because I don't wear a foundation every day. But if I wear a foundation, this cleanser takes it off as well. I think it removes make-up very well and gently but you have to remember to wipe it off properly, maybe with a cotton pad dabbed in toner. It doesn't dry out my skin at all and I like using it. I liked Baby Face a bit better because it was easier to dose but this one is a fine replacement.

Treatments -LUSH - Serum- Full of Grace
rated 4 of 5
pumpkinapplemuffins 2/4/2012 12:04:00 PM

This is probably a really good add-on to a moisturising routine, especially in winter when the skin gets unusually dry. I often use it in the evening after cleansing and toning. If you massage it in for a few minutes it will sink into the skin easily. It definitely reduced red patches of dry skin on my cheeks that I have had for weeks. It's also very nice to use around the eyes because it's much more moisturising than my regular eye cream. It did make me break out and clogged my pores a bit once, so be cautioned. Overall, I'm pretty sure I would buy it again, because it helps very much on the dry and red parts of my skin. Use sparingly on the T-zone!
