Blush -Tarte - Natural Swirl Full Blossom Cheek Stain
rated 5 of 5

I can't link a picture here for you to look at but I will leave them up in my profile of just type in tarte full blossom and the pictures should come right up for you. There is a swatch and a picture of the stain. This does have some oil in it so it is not oil free like the other ones. It goes on smooth and creamy like a cream blush blends out perfectly. The color is perfect for me I am cool toned and fair. I think this will become my go to blush. The only thing I really don't care for is it does have a scent almost like roses. It is kind of hard to explain but the scent does leave after a minute so don't worry about that. Beautidul to look at easy to use and a wonderful product.

Eyes -Smashbox - Panorama

Smashbox's Panorama eye shadow fusion is one of the best fusions for eyes I think they have ever made. I love the 5 colors in this pot. The colors are a steel grey, a matte dark brown, a soft pink, a cream color and a whiteish color. They are highly pigmented as always. There are endless ways of using this too. Very versatile and easily blendable as always. A nice addition to your eye shadow collection.

Lipstick -MAC - Slimshine in Bare ] [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5

I bought this color because the idea of a lip stick meets gloss intrigued me. And a soft natural color I felt would be a great start. The color appears to be a pinkish brown in the tube but when I apply this to my lips it is almost my lips but better but with a little more pink. I love to wear this when I don't want to overdo my lips. It gives a fair amount of pigment with just the right amount of shine from a gloss. These are perfect for the lady that doesn't quite like lipstick but would like to start wearing it a bit more with out that waxy feel.

Lip Gloss -Cargo - PurseGloss - Oslo
rated 5 of 5
prue28 11/29/2007 4:05:00 PM

I bought this color because it just looked like the perfect soft pink for my lips. I was correct. I love the soft shiny gloss. This is a very light pink and goes on as light as it looks in the tube. You have to give the tube a slight pinch to get the color to come out on to the brush but a smalll pinch is all you need for the perfect amount of color. This gloss glides on and lasts a super long time. Perfectly portable as the taube doesn't budge once the cover is back on so it is perfectly safe getting beaten up inside your makeup bag or purse. If you have very pigmented lips I fear this won't show up on you except maybe some shine. I however have fairly light lips so most colors show up on me well.

Blush -Smashbox - Fusion Soft Lights & Brush Set - Blushing Pink (BCA)
rated 5 of 5
prue28 11/29/2007 3:57:00 PM

I love smashbox's softlights and had to have this one as well. Well I finally managed to purchase this on sephora for $59.00 now it comes with the most wonderful bronzer brush ever made and the handle is pink! The bristles are soft and feel great when using to apply this or anything else on your face. The brush alone retails for $52.00 do for an extra 7 dollars the softlights is so worth it.The softlight colors are very lovely. A soft pink, a lilac'y pink,a soft tan a bright pink and a soft peachy pink color. When swirled together they make the most perfect pink shade my cheeks have ever seen. I absolutely love the color it gives. This has to be one of the most perfect softlights smashbox has ever made. Another nice thing about this set is that 10% goes to breast cancer research so that to me is always a plus.

Palettes -Tarte - Ready-To-Wear/Pret-a-Porter Dual Look Palette
rated 4 of 5
prue28 11/29/2007 3:10:00 PM

This is a good palette from Tarte I love the size and colors you get with this. The palette comes with a mascara, liner and shadow brushes and a mini rest assured I have the full sized which is much better because you get the cream side as well which is the side I perfer for highlighting areas of my face. Now to the rest of the compact. There is the New York side which has a shimmery gold,a light olive and a darker olivy eye shadow colors. A hard peachy cream blush that's not usable and 2 lip colors in a peachy orange and a berry colored. I love the shadows very pretty but powdery when appling so watch out for any fallout below your eyes. The paris side has a light shell, lilac and a dark lavendar colored shadows. Again a hard as a rock cream berry colored blush 2 lip colors in berry tones.I have to say I really only love this palette for the shadows. I have found the perfect purple tones for my blue eyes in this palette and The olives are a great match for them as well. That and the hard cream blushes are why I gave this palette 4 lippies.

Palettes -Tarte - We Wish You Wealth Palette
rated 3 of 5
prue28 11/29/2007 2:56:00 PM

I am not going to get into all the nitty gritty details like alot of the previous reviews because let's face it they already have. First off the palette is flimsy when you open it all the way. I really don't like the feeling of my new 50$ palette about to fall apart. So I never open it up fully unless it is on the table or somewhere where it is not going to move. I love love love the shadows in this palette very nicely pigmanted and great color selection. Next the lipglosses I really don't care for them they all appear to be light and sheer when on it's hard to tell which color you selected. Lastly the bottom row with the lip sheers which are great the cheek stains again great and the luminizer which I haven't touched because I got some in a previous palette and didn't like it. The lid primer which IMO does nothing for you at all and the gel liners are ok. You need to really pack them on your brush again and again just to do both eyes one time. But they do tend to last the day with UDPP on. The mini brushes are cute but I don't use them I prefer full sized ones seeing as they are easy to use. So no I wouldn't buy it again but really there is no need to either.

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Beeswax Lip Balm
rated 4 of 5
prue28 11/29/2007 2:34:00 PM

I just recently picked this up on black friday while out shopping. I was at the checkout line in Tartget when I noticed it starring at me. So I kept starring back until finally I reached out and picked it up. I put it on the coveyor belt with all my kids new soon to be opened lost picked apart christmas presents. Well I paid for my new bundle of toys that my kids will love for the moment until they are off on the quest for the next best thing, anyways the moment I left the store I found it sitting it the bag on top again starring at me. So I picked it up opened it and put some on. At first I got this soothing feeling on my lips then a minty taste started taking over my taste buds and then my lips had a bit on tingle to them not a bad tingle either. No wonder this was starring at me my lips needed it so bad on such a cold early morning shopping day. Now I put this on before my lipstick & gloss and it leaves my lips feeling so soft and moisturized along with fresh minty breath how could I ever be without this one. I think it needs to be in everyones make up bags or purses or even in your pockets. Next time you are standing in line and see this product starring back at you please pick it up you won't regret it!

Palettes -Smashbox - Reflect
rated 5 of 5
prue28 11/29/2007 2:18:00 PM

This is a beautiful holiday 2007 palette from Smashbox for cool tones I paid $39.00 for it. I am fair and cool toned so I thought this would be great on me and guess what........It is. I love it. The only reason I wouldn't buy it again is because I already have so much and new things keep coming out that there really is no reason for buying back-ups.that said here are my thoughts: This is a 2 tiered palette with the top part being the shadow and the bottom has the fusion blush. The Fusion eye colors are as follows: pale pink, shell, plum and an earthy brown. The plum really goes on plummy too. I love the colors they are perfectly matched together and blend effortlessly too. The brown in this looks so good in the crease or the lid I think it is one of the most perfect browns out there. The 2 light pinks blend perfectly together to make a great highlighting color too. The fusion softlights are as follows: a soft neutral pink, a brighter pink shade a soft peach and a coral. They all blend greatly when swirled all together, Leaves a soft corally pink color on my cheeks and it looks so natural too. Warning for anyone that doesn't like shimmery products like most smashbox products this has shimmer in it. But it looks so soft and natural not overly shimmery.

Palettes -Smashbox - Endless [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
prue28 11/29/2007 2:06:00 PM

I bought this lovely palette for warm tones for $39.00 .The compact has 2 layers a top layer with 4 fusion eye shadows and the bottom layer holds the 4 fusion blush colors. The colors are as follows: champagne, bronze, copper and a matte dark brown. They are highly pigmented so a little goes a long way with this one. They go on as smooth as silk and blend effortlessly. The colors all go so well together. Now for the bottom layer the blush colors are:tan, pearl, pink and a peach swirled together they leave a slightly bronzed peach glow on my cheeks. I am fair so I swirl lightly and pop it in the peach before I apply. The colors look natural and leave a nice soft glow to my face. I love it but I have to let anyone out there know that doesn't like shimmer as with most smashbox products this has shimmer in it so if you don't like shimmer stay away from these. But other wise a wonderful palette my only complaint is that's it's made from cardboard.

Foundations -Smashbox - High Definition Healthy FX Foundation
rated 4 of 5
prue28 11/29/2007 1:49:00 PM

This foundation is nice, super light wieght feels great when putting it on.Stays put all day(with my smashbox photo finish primer)This foundation isn't heavy but provides good coverage. I am fair but can manage to use F1 if I blend it well all over my face. Hides my flaws and just glides on effortlessly with a foundation brush. The only trouble I have with it is around my nose where I can be a bit oily I tend to blend it in with my fingers or a sponge and that works out great for me. I found this formula to be so great I actually finished my first bottle and now I am on to my second. The new bottle it comes in is great to because it doesn't allow air to get into it to oxidize it. The pump just keeps moving towards the top as you make your way through giving you fresh clean foundation from the first time you use it to the last!

Eyeliner -Tarte - emphasEYES Inner Rim Eyeliner
rated 1 of 5
prue28 11/29/2007 1:39:00 PM

I bought this hoping it was as great as I had heard and saw on QVC. I put on this super tiny super thin eyeliner and it appeared gray on me not black so I kept putting some on till it turned black it took about 3 times. Well I finally got the black that I was hoping for but it only lasted 30 minutes before it disappeared. I was left wondering where it went what happened to it. So I tryed again and it still only lasted half an hour. I was so disappointed with this product it cost $18.00 for such a tiny amount and did absolutely nothing I couldn't leave my house wearing it because it would last long enough for me to even get to the car.I feel it is a total waste of money don't bother.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast
rated 4 of 5
prue28 11/29/2007 1:30:00 PM

I normally use Tarte lights camera lashes and from the way everyone on MUA was buzzing about Lash Blast,it sounded like a d/s dupe for it. SO one day while shopping at walmart I came across the display for it and figured for 6.98 I couldn't go wrong. I brought it home & gave it a try the next day. I didn't really like it when I first put it on it seemed to clump a bit so I put it down and gave it another try a few days later. Well it was much easier to use the 2nd and 3rd time and so I gave it a week. And now all I have to say is LOVE IT! I have been using it non stop for a few weeks and it stays on doesn't flake, budge, move. It gives my thin fine lashes volume and curl.Makes them stand out and very black & glossy too. Yes occasionally I get the clump on my lashes but I take my fingers and wipe it away and I reapply wear I had to remove the clump and it looks great. This does take a moment or two to dry so you do have time to get the clump before it sets, but at the same time it doesn't get all over your eyes either. This formula is great and will replace my high end mascara now!

Foundations -Smashbox - Function Self-Adjusting Powder Foundation
rated 5 of 5
prue28 11/29/2007 1:18:00 PM

I am fair but I manage to use the F1 blended well in there High Def. foundation so I decided to buy the F1/F2 function5 powder foundation. I love it. When you sweep it on with a light hand it gives you light coverage and keeps any oillies at bay. However most of the time I use this over my foundation to set it with the #19 brush and it gives me a fuller coverage which is what I like. The powder glides on and it lasts the majority of the day. This powder minimizes pores as well. My pores are good size on my nose and this just hides it and makes them appear so much smaller. It is almost like wearing BE's mineral veil but much better because it gives you so many types of coverage as well ranging from light to heavy..The compact is sleek enough to bring with you in your makeup bag or purse. I wish they did have more color choices in this because 6 just doesn't seem like enough but I am as fair as can be and I can wear it so I encourage you to go ahead and give it a try, this may just be one of the best powders out there.

Bronzers -Tarte - Sunburst Beaded Bronzing Lotion
rated 5 of 5
prue28 3/9/2007 5:48:00 PM

I loved this bronzer. It goes on smooth and easy. The beads burst under the pressure of your fingertips and blend in so well. There is no orange look to this at all for me. I am very fair and it works well. I use it lightly and it gives such a nice bronze glow to the skin. The moisturizer that is in this is lightweight and feels great going on the face. It would make a great everyday moisturizing lotion.Overall it is a little expensive but a wonderful product I will be getting this again as soon as I run out. Perfect for the summer when the spf in my foundation leaves my face whiter then the rest of me.
