Powder -Everyday Minerals - Foundation Matte Formula
prsleanansidhe 4/28/2008 10:26:00 PM
This is my favorite formula of EM foundation. I have oily/combination skin and live in a hot/humid environment and this works fantastically. With Youngblood, Jane Iredale, or BE, I always got extremely shiny towards midday, but with this, I barely get any breakthrough and it's only on my nose. I like the semi-matte as well, but prefer it only in the winter, as I look a bit too shiny during the summer months. I'm still working with the eye area application, as I have dark circles under my eyes and this gives me spotty coverage there. They have a fantastic selection of colors and their beige category contains the only minerals I have found that aren't too yellow, orange, or pink for my skintone. Overall, the best MMU I have tried. At this price, I'll be stocking up.
I *love* this color. I'm not a fan of gloss in general because I can't stand my hair sticking to my lips. This, however, isn't so bad. It's not as tacky. The color is *exquisite*...like Revlon's "blackcherry" lipstick before they decided to add more brown and red to it. Very plummy and blue-based as opposed to brown or red. I *love* it. I'm sure it will get discontinued or reformulated...like most things I adore that work with my coloring. Good stuff.
Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Bathed and Infused - Body Fluff

I love the fluff! It's not too heavy, even in humid hot Texas weather. It's the best moisturizer I have ever used in terms of texture, spreadability, absorption, and, well, moisture...plus I can get it in just about any scent imaginable.
Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Bathed and Infused - The Lost

This isn't spot on. It is very similar however, and is a wonderful scent in it's own right. No playdoh smell. I still give it 5 lippies because it is high quality, lasts forever, and I get just as many compliments, if not more, than when I wear the original. Plus, I can get it in many forms...from perfume to roll on to lotion and beyond. Even my motherinlaw, who doesn't wear perfume, wanted to know what I was wearing.
Moisturizers -St. Ives - Collagen-Elastin Essential Moisturizer

BURNS! Ouch! Every time I use this product, it BURNS my skin. Not sure what ingredient in this my skin hates, but I definitely stay away from this product. My sisterinlaw has no problem with it and uses it as a daily moisturizer. Her skin looks fantastic. I guess that's why I keep trying it. Sadly, it's just not for me.
Styling Products -Garnier - Fructis Style - Smoothing Milk
prsleanansidhe 8/13/2005 10:32:00 AM
Doesn't do anything for my hair...in fact, it actually makes it feel more coarse..and I have fine hair. Coarse, dry, and frizzy...not what I was looking for.
This just wasn't very interesting to me. I tried to like it, I wore it several times and just never felt moved by it. No compliments from anyone and the husband was "eh, it's okay".

I really wanted this product to work, but it totally inflamed my skin and broke me out.
Styling Products -Beyond The Zone - Turn Up the Heat

I love this stuff! I needed a heat protectant to use with my flat iron and did not want to buy Tigi's Camera Ready at salon prices. So I picked up a bottle of this instead. When used with a light hand on 1 inch sections, it worked fabulously! My hair is shiney and straight and the ends didn't dry up and frizz like they normally do with my flat iron. It didn't weigh my hair down and worked just as well, if not better than other shine sprays that I have tried. I will definitely repurchase!
I had been using Tigi's Headbanger, but bought this instead, as I was having a BTZ fetish one day. This product gives my fine hair just enough lift and texture without making it stiff or sticky..I can still run my fingers through it. Great for anyone who doesn't like the hair to feel like it has product in it. Definitely works well with the layers and texture I recently had cut into my hair...adds just the right amount of volume for me.

Wonderful product! Left my hair very soft and didn't weigh it down. LOVE it!
Lotions/ Creams -Eucerin - Original Moisturizing Creme
prsleanansidhe 1/16/2004 3:06:00 PM
I use this to help prevent eczema on my infant son as well as prevent dishpan hands from the endless handwashing I do to keep him healthy. I even started using it nightly as an eye cream...and it doesn't make my eczema-prone eyes itch or burn like most eye treatments! My husband uses it on his dry, cracked hands as well without any burning or reactions. We love it!
Lotions/ Creams -Eucerin - Aquaphor Healing Ointment

My pediatrician recommended I use this to prevent diaper rash on my son and on his eczema and it works! It's truly amazing!!!
Did a great job of removing my makeup...but it itched, it burned, and it broke me out. Blech.
