Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Purity Organic Skincare Facial Wash
rated 5 of 5

I got interested in this line after Lisa Eldridge, the makeup artist mentioned the Conditioning Cleansing Lotion in her tutorial. I purchased both the lotion and the cleanser and both are great. At 5 pounds you get 150 of the product. The gel cleanser isn't excessively foamy, is gentle and effective. Works brilliantly on waterproof makeup and doesn't irritate eyes! It feels gently and moisturizing during use and once it's rinsed off you're left with squeaky clean skin! I have combination, acne prone skin but I hate heavily medicated washed as they can be drying and seem to exacerbate the problem. This one, works a treat. Give it a try!

Concealers -E.L.F. - Mineral Concealer

E.L.F mineral concealer, 3.5 grams per pot, medium coverage. This one is in Warm. I do apply cream concealer first on any spot I might have, and seal it in place with the E.L.F. mineral. Does the job but matching the colour is a bit of problem again, I have purchased one in Light as well and mix the two to get the right shade: you can find the photo on http://whateverygirlneedstoknow.blogspot.com/

Eye Shadow -E.L.F. - Mineral Eyeshadow

1. E.L.F. Mineral Eyeshadow in Socialite: it's easy to blend and you get 0.9 grams per pot. I used TheBodyShop eyeshadow brush to apply it. It's also quite shimmery, which is not really what I was expecting, it's quite hard to see from the website photos whether the shadows are shimmery or not, and I have ordered it thinking it wasn't but nevertheless the festive season is coming up and maybe I will find an occasion to wear it. I think the colour is quite good for an understated smokey eye as it's not too dark. The 1st application is just the shadow, the one below it was applied after an eye primer. As you can see it makes one hellova difference. The color is more intense, and the product lasts longer. 2. E.L.F. Mineral Eyeshadow in Royal: it's a dark purple and I thought it would help bring out my dark brown eyes (it does). Here's the photo with and without an eye primer (guess which one): the photos i'm referring to are in http://whateverygirlneedstoknow.blogspot.com/

Masks -The Body Shop - Honey & Oat Scrub Mask
rated 4 of 5
prozacnation88 11/4/2009 5:46:00 PM

I loved this product-the smell, the texture and have recently started making my own. I do have a jar at home but only use it whenever I run out of my homemade stuff. I think TheBodyShop have the right idea, but obviously they have to put preservatives and other chemical stuff I can't even pronounce! So I prefer my own = just kaolin clay + manuka honey + ground oats + a teaspoon or two of ground rice for exfoliation (even a few drops of tea tree oil if I'm breaking out). I do, however have to give credit to the original oat and honey mask for inspiration!

Concealers -Fresh - Concealer

I stumbled upon this about two-three years ago in a Selfridges sale and i think i got it for about 8 pounds when full price was about twenty odd quid. AMAZING product, reliable and does miracles for my circles. And the best part? That little bottle I got years ago is still not empty! I probably wouldn't buy it again though unless it was on sale again, but if you can afford it, go for it, i guarantee you won't regret it!

Lotions/ Creams -Boots - Expert Sensitive Moisture Boost Body Lotion
rated 5 of 5
prozacnation88 10/6/2009 11:46:00 PM

My holy grail body lotion. Light yet moisturizing, keeps your skin soft but not sticky. a good reliable staple, I also get the impression that they did not add any unnecessary chemicals, as it's perfume and colour-free. On days when my skin on my face gets irritated and unpredictable i just cleanse, apply a clay mask and afterwards use this lotion before i go to bed. It really works, seems to calm my skin down and I wake up with soft, healthy, smooth.

Sunscreen -Boots - Soltan Facial Sun Defence Cream SPF30
rated 5 of 5
prozacnation88 10/6/2009 11:41:00 PM

To be honest the only reason I use this product religiously is the UVA***** protection. Seems to do it's job though, although it's a bit too oily for me as long as I apply sparingly and give it time to absorb it's ok. I find after long-term use you really start to notice the effect it has on your skin. Although I'm spot-prone, it doesn't break me out, moisturizes well and applied correctly does provide a decent (suppose 'average' is a suitable word) makeup base. Overall, a worthy, reliable product, one thing I can say for sure, is that long term you won't regret using this product. Good luck.

Concealers -New York Color - Cover Stick in Yellow
rated 1 of 5
prozacnation88 10/6/2009 11:28:00 PM

I'm Asian and when purchasing this product I thought 'hm...this should work for my undereye circles'. Colour wise it worked beautifully, texture wise it's very capricious, I find in hot weather it tends to melt a bit but on colder days it was like trying to spread chalk under my eyes. For the price though, that's a fairly good product, to make it work I mixed with a drop of liquid foundation or concealer and it worked beautifully. That's what I would recommend for those who liked the colour but had some problems with the texture. Worked for me, good luck! Edit: couldn't be bother to fiddle around with it anymore so it had to go into the bin! concealers should be straightforward to use...plus I think it was breaking me out.

Hair Color -Unlisted Brand - Naturtint Permanent Hair Colorant
rated 4 of 5
prozacnation88 9/28/2009 4:30:00 AM

I'm asian with fair skin and have been dying my hair for years because I have lots of gray hair and yes it is a problem because I'm 21. Anyway, for whatever reason I've always assumed that 'natural' hair dyes would be weak, unpredictable and not that different form 'chemical' hair dye kits. How wrong was I. My hair is glossy, healthy, strong and I absolutely love the colour. I do agree that the colour comes out darker than stated in the box as i got N4, dark chestnut and it came out as pretty much my natural hair colour-very dark brown. So keep that in mind when purchasing the product, ill update once I see how long it lasts. But so far so very very good.

Treatments -Elizabeth Arden - Eight Hour Cream
rated 5 of 5
prozacnation88 4/15/2009 8:28:00 PM

I used to LOVE Eight Hour Cream and used to use it religiously on my chapped lips and dry patches. However, I've noticed that it stopped working for me after a while. It did nothing for my lips anymore so it was left to lie around in my purse for several months. Recently however, I had developed quite severe spots and started using acne treatments which did work, but left my skin dry, rough and uneven. So instead of using the Eight hour cream as a moisturizer I applied it all over my face as a moisturizing and exfoliating (on the account that it has salicylic acid) mask for a few hours while I did the chores. Washed it off, scrubbed gently and my skin has its glow back! Use it a mask and see what happens! I know what people mean when they refer to it as 'glorified vaseline' but if you use it as an occasional treatment rather than a moisturizer or a balm it seems to do wonders, well at least it did for me. A reliable staple, will be purchasing it again but will use it for emergencies such as this and I'm sure I'll be happy with it.

Misc Beauty Tools -Crest - Daily Multicare 5 minute strips
rated 4 of 5

I'm very happy with this product. So far, I've only been using for 4 days, but i can definitely seeing some results. Compared to other strips these don't cause as much tooth sensitivity. I think they do an amazing job for maintenance. I do however, use sensodyne to prevent it.

Scrubs -Olay - Regenerist Thermal Skin Polisher
rated 4 of 5
prozacnation88 9/11/2007 4:36:00 PM

I bought this because I recieved a discount for the regenesist line from boots. I would not have tried this product otherwise, but I'm glad i did. I used to have the worst acne you could imagine. After starting to use diane-35 it cleared up but i have to follow a strict skincare regime as well. I found it very useful. It works really well for my skin as it had quite a few little bumps and acne scars. They are less visible and I'm sure with continuous use they will disappear eventually. I find it works particularly well, after I have used it before i go to bed and apply a thin layer on eight hour cream (by Elizabeth Arden). i even hardly wear any make up now. Overall I'm pleased with this product and would advise it to anyone. The fact that it heats up really makes a difference. It doesn't even dry my skin up.
