I found this by pure chance and boy was I lucky! This is a wonderful little concealer. It has just the right consistency - creamy, lightweight and smooth. It comes in several shades and blends into your skin perfectly. It covers undereye circles and darks spots incredibly well but doesn't completely hide blemishes - it tones them down though. The pump is hygenic and portable but you have to watch out when you push down - a ton will squirt out. Someone else shared a handy tip: cover the little hole with your fingertip and then gently ease the pump down just a little, until you feel a little product dispense. It really works and this way you can control how much comes out. The only drawback is that you get very little product for the price. Good thing the product is fantastic. I just bought this a week ago so I will update to let you know how long it lasts.
I bought this product because I am a sucker for infomercials BUT...it was not a mistake. I bought the medium as I am olive skinned with yellow undertones. I also got the brush set for free with my purchase. I have had the disc now for about 5 months and I must say that it is very handy and the makeup is a really nice quality. The colours are very natural and I am left with a clean looking, elegant face. The disc is really handy for travelling (which I've done with it already) and the brush set is pretty decent except for a couple of the brushes. The liner brush is so thin and long that it is impossible to have any control over it. It is useless. Also, the blush brush is made of synthetic fibers and the bristles come out each time I use it. Other than that, this palette is a good purchase for those of you who don't like to experiment with makeup or like a really natural, finished face.
Fragrances -GAP Beauty - scent editions perfume oils

I really hate spray scents because I find them overpowering. These roll-on perfume oils come in a wide variety of scents and have the loveliest packaging. From the box, to the pretty cloth case, these oils are elegant, portable and leave just enough scent to please - not choke to death. I have Sagemoss and Cassis. The Sagemoss is so good, I wear it almost everyday. It is fresh and clean smelling. The Cassis is quite sweet and heavy so I use this only on certain occasions. I have tried mixing them (as you are encouraged to do) but these two scents don't mix all that well. I will probably buy another one, maybe Sandalwood, next.
This is the best pale pink nail polish colour. It is a whitish pink that perfectly compliments nice, tanned feet. The polish lasts for weeks and doesn't fade, chip or streak.
Lotions/ Creams -Burt's Bees - Baby Bees Buttermilk Lotion

I hated this lotion. I tried a sample one day at a store and the smell was so overpowering that I had to open all of the car windows and air it out after I put some on my hands. It was runny and greasy/sticky and didn't absorb for a very long time. Yuck.
Moisturizers -Olay - Regenerist Night Recovery Moisturizing Treatment
productnerd 9/8/2005 1:25:00 PM
This is an alright night cream. It's a little slick and greasy when you first put it on but eventually absorbs into your skin. To be honest, I haven't seen any big changes in my skin. The smell is strong but good.
Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 30
productnerd 9/8/2005 1:21:00 PM
I love this sunscreen! I really do. I have oily, blemish-prone skin and have tried so many different sunscreens (even very expensive moisturizers w/SPF) and nothing compares to this. It goes on light, dries immediately and leaves no shine or bad smell. It's also a good moisturizer with antioxidents. I have been using this on my face every single day for the last 4 months and have no complaints. My skin looks great! It's also an amazing sunscreen. I apply it in the morning and it protects my face all day long, even while I've been out in the water all day. Try it!
This is a very nice cream blush/lip stain. I have it in Poppy which is a very nice berry pink (like the colour of your lips but better) and I use it frequently. You don't have to use very much at all to get a lot of colour. In fact, it takes a little while to figure out how to properly apply it as it does not spread easily and has a lot of pigment in just a little dab. I usually rub my finger into it and make three little dabs on my cheeks or lips and blend immediately. It lasts a long time too. My only complaint is that, although the packaging is gorgeous, the little clasp broke when I dropped it the day I bought it and I've had to kepp it closed with an ugly rubber band ever since!
As most women, I have been on the eternal quest for the perfect lip gloss. I think that I may have found it. This gloss (which I use in "next to nude" - the most perfect beigey nude) is not sticky, thick, drying or sparkly. It has high shine, skin softening emmolients and the perfect amount of transparency. I will buy this in more colours.
This is the first bronzer that I've ever bought but I love it. Although I love the sun, I use 30spf on my face everyday and therefore my olive skin tends to look a little sallow, especially in the summer months when the rest of my body is a nice golden brown. I use 02 Sunkissed and it is a very nice, natural hint of summer glow that can be layered for desired darkness. The colour is so natural that I have fooled many people this summer into thinking that I am a tanned beach babe!
Cleansers -Avene - Cleanance soapless gel cleanser for oily skin
productnerd 9/7/2005 2:26:00 PM
I bought this cleanser after I read about it in some magazine. I have been using it now for about 6 months and have noticed that my blemish-prone skin has stayed relatively clear (nothing is stronger than monthly hormones!) I have bought this product again and plan on continuing to use it. The only draw back is that it can be a little drying. *UPDATE* After finishing my 2nd bottle (which took forever) I have returned to my old favorite, dependable Cetaphil. I just found this product to be too drying for me.
I really don't like this lip gloss. It's sticky and thick and smells sickly sweet. I will not buy this again.
I admit to buying this mostly for the adorable packaging but it really is a decent lip gloss. It's not sticky and it feels nice and smooth. The colour is fantastic. Like your lips only better. Too bad it's so expensive and comes in a jar, leaving you with gooey finger.
I only wear lip gloss and am constantly trying to find ones that aren't sticky or cheap feeling. This one is great. It goes on smooth and feels so light and natural leaving sheer, beautiful colour behind.
Skincare - Face -Philosophy - Hope in a Jar Eye & Lip Cream
productnerd 2/22/2005 7:50:00 PM
I bought this cream out of desperation last week, while at Sephora, wandering around for hours searching for the next eye cream I would try. I don't know what possessed me to buy such an expensive tiny tube of cream that I had not even read up on here at MakeupAlley, but I did, and guess what, it sucks! It is so thick and oily that it never absorbs into the skin. It leaves oily rings around my eyes for hours. I tried using it as a lip cream, praying to god that at least I would get some use out of it, and I have to say, it's not that great as a lip cream either. It's ok. I'll finish it on my lips while I kick myself for having succumbed to pretty packaging.
