I have this is Warm Ivory. I am NC20 for your reference. Pros: The color match is unbeatable! Perfect color match to my skin, no pink in it at all, very natural. Also, love the packaging. Very convenient to carry on the go. Cons: it took me a few days to figure out how to use this product and make it work for me. on clean but moisturized skin it was too sheer, slipped, and looked uneven when applied (blemish, red around nose). Also, it looked unnatural (like I had on a full foundation- which I hate) when used underneath makeup. **.It was not until I decided to put this on TOP of my powder that it worked perfectly. I use a concealer brush and the SMALLEST amount of product, then pat with brush until the flaw is gone, set with powderI and Im done! I find I get good coverage that lasts all day using this technique. Bottom line, I REALLY like the color so I will continue to use it, just wish it provided slightly more coverage with less "greese".

Concealers -Maybelline - Instant Age Rewind Double Face Perfector [DISCONTINUED]

I tried this concealer after reading great reviews on this site. I have been searching for a good concealer for a long time- I don’t have dark circles (light-med) but I do need some lightening in the eye area. After years of loyalty to one concealer I started to notice that it was not doing me any favors as I started to age. I have some crows feet and my Physician's Formula Camouflage Cream only made them 100x worse! I like this concealer- but be warned, a little goes a long way! I bought the double ended tube- I think the concealer on its own has been disco'd. The highlighter is OK, I use it for good measure, not sure how much of a difference it makes. The packaging is not good. The highlighter end is filled to the top and product always squishes out of the tube when I am putting the applicator back in. I wish they put more concealer in as well, definitely MUCH less product as compared to the highlighter. I have even recommended this to my sister who also suffers from the same issues as we get into our late 20s and early 30s.

Self Tanners -L'Oreal - Sublime Bronze

I have a review in for the Loreal Sublime Bronze Luminous Selft Tanner on this site and really liked the product's results, but HATED the sparkles, the STENCH, and the stickiness. Was planning to buy another bottle for summer (like I said, loved the color and the long lasting results) and when I could not find it at Walgreens, bought this product instead. Beware, this is a STRONG self tanner. I have years of experience applying ST and even I could NOT get it right- streaky, streaky, ankles were a mess etc. I just about gave up, but tried one more time, this time applying it immediately after applying lotion- and voila! ...great and even color! I have since started mixing it with some yummy smelling lotion (1/2 and 1/2) to combat the smell, the slight stickiness, and to help get even results, and have now created my HG gradual self tanner (which is my pref as it is much more low maitenance and goof proof). The color results with this blend are great and VERY long lasting, much less sticky, the fragrance is only detectable several hours after the color develops (standard ST chemical smell), and the bottle now lasts forever (yay savings!). Overall, this is good stuff. I dont love the bronzer in it, but the sparkle is minimal and it does wash off clothing if it transfers (it does minimally on light clothing). I plan to keep using this and am dumping the L'oreal Sublime Luminous ST.

Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Liquid Daily Sunblock spf 55

What can I say? This is a 5 out of 5, HG sunscreen. I have been a big fan of the Neutrogena Dry Touch sunscreen for use on my face, but was never able to incorporate it into my daily routine b/c of all the usual sunscreen challenges -balling up, shiny/oily feeling, left me with a heavy feeling, irritating to my eys, etc. (Note: Dry Touch had the least challenges of ALL the sunscreens I have tried up to this point). I have been searching for a daily sunscreen and decided to buy the Ultra Sheer liquid based on a review I saw here. I am SOOOO happy i did. I do not have ANY challenges with this sunscreen, and am even shocked that it does not irritate my eyes (this is a FIRST!). It is light, sheer, and when worn, I dont even remember I have it on under my makeup. No oilies, no heavy feeling, nothing. I also wore it all weekend at the beach and had ZERO sunburn or pinkness (I am fair and am currently using Retin A so this is a big deal). The only con is the light sunscreen smell, but I find it fades within minutes. EDIT: Keep referring people to this and ALL gave rave reviews!

Powder -Lancome - Dual Finish Versatile Powder Makeup

I bought this product on a rec from a friend. I really wanted to love it (glowing reviews) but had a hard time doing so. NOW, 2 weeks later, 1 return trip to Lancome for a color check and almost a return, trying various ways to apply the product to no avail, and a new brush purchase later, I am LOVING this powder. Dump the puff and sponge that comes with it and RUN to get the Mac 109 brush (MUA rec- THANK YOU!). this made ALL the difference. I was using my own kabuki brush and was not getting the coverage I was looking for- not even close!!! The puff and sponge applicaiton looked so unnatural. I am normally a mineral concealer and mineral veil girl (i want an extremely natural looking and feeling face but have some redness that I need to cover from capilaries, sensitivity at times, and a breakout from time to time and HATE foundation), and was looking for something that was easier and MUCH faster to apply. Well, using the Mac 109 brush with this powder, I have found my solution! In 1-2 minutes I have a flawless look that last all day in the humidity and does not streak, fall into fine lines, or get blotchy. I do have combo skin, and like another reviewer said, nothing can keep the oilies at bay all day, but this powder does for a bit, and when the oilies break through, it does not look like a mess on my face. Using this and a bit of undereye concealer, and the occational heavy dab of mega concealer for the occational breakout, I am good to go in minutes! Color wise the match is ok, but I am in between shades so my only wish is more color options. Does not oxidize on my skin. Will repurchase and rec to friends. For reference, I am using Matte Porcelaine d'Ivoire which is just a touch dark for me in winter.

Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow in Bone 16

AHHH-MAZING! seriously great shadow. A BB consultant actully used this as a highlighter on my face over my blush, cheekbones, forehead and bridge of my nose. I was shocked, but then looked in the mirror and fell in love. It made my entire face look etherial, and toned down the blush (rose on my checkbones, apricot for the pop pf color on the apples of my cheeks) and gave it perfect glowy dew I am always striving for. No glitter, no highlighting of my pores, just perfection. He said that all the consultants love this shadow for this reason. Dear shimmerbrick...i NEVER thought I would leave you, but I am sorry, I've met your replacement. PS- it is also really beautiful and natural on your lids for the classic Bobbi Brown "no makeup, makeup" look.

I tried this product after reading great reviews. Overall, I am vey dissapointed and will not use or buy this product again. The reason for this is that after applying several applications over the course of one week, i basically saw ZERO color. I kept hoping for the best and reapplying again, but it was just a waste of my time. This is really too bad because the foam is fantasitc. It smells great (vanilla and yummy)and dries in no timewith little (if any) lingering ordor and zero stickiness. If they ever add more color I would come back in a heart beat. Until then, it is a big waste of my time and money. Btw, I bought the darker shade; I am fair-medium (ish) in skin tone and ussally have no probelm with color developing in STs.

Self Tanners -L'Oreal - Sublime Bronze Luminous Bronzer Self-tanning Lotion

I have used a TON of self tanners and this one is pretty good. Pros: great bronzy tan color color- no orange tint, gives me great color with 1 application (2 and you are back from the islands tan), color lasts for a long time, light scent, color develops evenly (when applied correctly!), and it dries very quickly. Cons: rediculously sticky- dont even think about wearing this during the day!!!!, i dont like my ST to have a tint- this one does (but it does not transfer), application can be a little tricky since the color that develops is pretty deep- I have to remember to watch my feet and ankles, and rub eveything in all the way less I get some streaking. Overall it is a good product. Using gloves is a MUST or your hands will be a mess in the morning. i am about to go pruchase my 2nd bottle, so yes, I will buy this again and continue to use it until I find something better.

Blush -Maybelline - Dream Mousse Blush in Rose Petal ] [DISCONTINUED]

On a whim I bought this at my local CVS and I am happy to report that I am thrilled with it. I was looking for something to make my NARS orgasm blush "less orange" . I love NARS orgasm blush but depending on the time of year (I use self tanner in the summer) the blush can be too warm, so I was looking for a pink base to balance things. Rose Petal is perfect, and it is a dream to apply- SO EASY! I have also noticed that likes others have noted, when you use this as a base layer, and apply a powder blush on top, you get a glow from within look that is very pretty and very natural looking. Unlike my NARS, this blush sinks into my skin and does not sit "on top of it" which at times can be too obvious. It also photographs great. My overall rating is a 4 as this blush tends to fade. There is noticible shimmer in the jar, but when applied it is basically matte on me. The cap color is dead on. Would repurchase and recommend! EDIT- I stopped using this blush. It slipped too much and did not wear well in the humid summer months. Went back to a powder.

Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF45

This is a GREAT sunscreen. Often when you get very high SPF in a sunscreen you get the dreaded white cast after application- with this sunscreen you DO NOT. And, it actaully does what the bottle states it will do, absorb quickly, leave a non-greasy dry feel. It really does live up to the decription. And, for my sensitive skin it does not sting, burn, irritate, cause breakouts, or make my eyes sting and water. When visiting my dad he randomly grabbed it and used it before golfing and loved it so much he bought a bottle at CVS on the way home after he finished his 18 holes! And btw, my dad could care less about beauty products so that is a solid recommendation if I have ever heard of one! HG sunscreen in my book.

Highlighters -Cargo - EyeLighter

I am a big fan of placing shimmering shadow on the inside corners of my eyes, as well as on occasion highlighting my brow bone with a light shadow. The Eylighter is the perfect on the go tool to do just that! While the shadows are not that amazing (how hard it is to find a cool toned white shadow?), the package is GREAT! I love the compact size of this (the size of a lip liner) and I love the fact that I do not have to carry a brush and 2 sets of shadow with me to get the same effect. One side of the liner is matte, while the other is shimmery (NOT glittery). They are both equally pretty and I am slowly finding more and more uses for each of the colors. For example, on a light make up day the matte shadow looks great when used to line my lower eye just beneath my lashes. It really emphasizes my green eyes, yet still looks very "natural". If you are looking to condense your already large makeup bag, this is a nice product. One note, the matte shadow is kind of chalky and does not blend very well (hence the 4 lippies). After you apply you really have to work at blending it into the rest of your shadows etc.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Cultured

Love this gloss! Bought it yesterday after reading all the great reviews on it, and am even more excited about it today. I realzied that is almost an exact color match to my fav HG gloss (VS Mirror Mirror Gloss in Baby Doll) that has since been disco'd. Serioulsy, I have been looking for a replacement for over a year and am very excited to have finally found one! Other reviews have done a great job describing the color so I won't add anything there, but I will say it is a slightly darker, less frosty version of MAC Viva Glam VI SE lipglass (which I also love but it can frost a little too much on me sometimes). If you love pink glosses you will LOVE this product! It looks great on its own as well, very no fuss, which is exactly what I was also looking for. I hate having to pair lipliner with gloss to achieve the color I was really looking for you know? HG status? A definite maybe!

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Natural shine

Great product. Leaves your nails looking like they have just been buffed. Much better than clear polish as it does not chip, or turn your nails yellow. I use this in between manicures for a polished look. My only complant is of the packaging and the stupid cap they put on this bottle.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Viva Glam VI SE Lipglass

LOVE LOVE LOVE this lipglass. Just bought it on a whim today, and while I usually wait a bit before putting a review on this board, I could not contain my enthusiasm. I love "bubble gummy" pink lipglosses and this one hits the mark! Standard wear, smell, and feel of most MAC lipglasses. It looks very nice againy my fair skin with bronzer :) , orgasm blush, and smokey eyes. I could see myself wearing this during the day AND night (although at night I might amp it up with a light liner to make it pop). If you love girly pink glosses, go get this one. Oh, and as another reviewer pointed out, the color is EXACTLY the same color as the MUA banner. Nice comparison! HG status? Maybe! I will update my review after wearing it for a bit.
