Misc Beauty Tools -E.L.F. - Mechanical Eyelash Curler

This didn't work for me. I thought I'd try it because it was cheap and had good reviews here. I'm sticking with my Shu curler.
Skincare - Body -Alpha Hydrox - Foot and Problem Area Creme

Okay I have the worst cracked heels ever. My heels look like my Mom's and she's 74. Gross. I tried so many different creams, different pumices, you name it. My friend uses the Alpha Hydrox face wash and so I thought I would try it. I ended up looking at the review for this and thought I'd try it. I love MUA!!! In a few days my heels looked remarkably better.
Cleansers -Ponds - Exfoliating Cleansing Towelettes
productaholic 2/19/2010 1:20:00 PM
I bought these towlettes for days when I am lazy to wash my face or when I travel to remove make up and can't bring my make up remover. I think I must have been allergic to them because I had a horrible reaction to them. Once I stopped using them, my skin was fine again. I definitely will not use these wipes again.
After running out of my current facial cleanser I decided to be frugal and try something new. Well this soap was a bit too drying for me. Within a few days my face dried up and when I went to get a facial she said my chin area was peeling but everything else looked good. I noticed a few more blackheads even though I was exfoliating with a microfibre cloth in the shower. I don't think this works for my skin so it's definitely not for me. My skin is combo. Oily t-zone dry cheeks and chin. I will have to go back to my Dermalogica. Expensive but my skin is worth it.
I can't really comment on the price on this since I got a gift with purchase size in a swap. This mascara did not last an hour before becoming complete soot under my eyes. Definitely would be bummed if I bought this.
Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo 6 Piece Brush Set
productaholic 10/5/2008 8:36:00 PM
I can't say much more about this product. It's awesome quality for the price. It's environmentally friendly. It's cheap. This would be a great gift for girlfriends this Christmas. Who doesn't need more makeup brushes in their lives?! I would totally recommend these to anyone and everyone.
I have this in purple, khaki and black. I love this. I love that I don't have to sharpen. I usually use a smudger brush but I do use the end to smudge when I'm in a pinch. It's not the absolutely best but I like it well enough and I'll most likely buy/swap for in the future. The only thing I don't like is the cap on the smudger end though, it always cracks. Edit: my eyeliner has dried out a bit and since I'm on this smudgey smoky eye look, it's not the best....
After hearing all the raves from my make up obsessed friends I decided to try this. I wear a 7 and the color matched perfectly. And I swear every time I use this I look great in photos and people comment on my skin (it's all the make up, my skin is definitely not flawless). By day's end though I do need to touch up and use a blotter to blot oil. I use this for when I go out at night or a special occasion. On the daily I still use Laura Mercier Tinted foundation.
I switched over to Dermalogica because a relative works for them and gets free product. She hooked me up and now I use a whole system by them. I also went to the Dermalogica day spa to get a facial and they recommended this. It's a good cleanser in my eyes. Not too drying for my skin and foams up nicely. All you need is a little bit. I am sure my container will last me for at least 6 months and I use it twice a day. I would definitely buy this even if I didn't get free product from them.
Mascara -Christian Dior - DiorShow Mascara Waterproof
productaholic 1/19/2008 3:03:00 AM
I bought this mascara hoping that it would be great after reading all the reviews. I was wrong. I bought this at Bloomingdales a few weeks before my wedding as a treat. Luckily I decided to test it out before wedding day. Soot all under my eyes. I wonder what would have happened if I wore it to my wedding. Bad photos, much? I was embarrassed to bring it back but I did. I am not going to spend $23 on a mascara that I used once. The Dior counter girl switched me over to regular Dior Show which didn't soot as much but I wasn't hyped about considering the price.
I was on my honeymoon and the husband was taking a lot of photos in the ocean and/or pool. I need more oomph in my eyes so I bought this thinking I could just throw it on and swim. The minute I dove in the water, black soot all under my eyes. Not very waterproof. I wore it during the day when I wasn't in the pool either. All under my eyes. So this gets a thumbs down from me.
Hair -Frederic Fekkai - Technician Conditioner for Dry Hair
productaholic 6/3/2007 9:13:00 PM
I really like this conditioner. I have thick thick wavy Asian hair. I have tried so many conditioners and this one I consistently come back to. My hair feels soft and smells great when I use this.
I tried this black mascara because my friend said it was pretty good for a drugstore brand. I looked up the reviews and it seemed like a good purchase. This mascara looks great when you put it on. I had high hopes. But by the middle of the day it was all underneath my eyes. Definitely not buying again. Luckily it was only $5 at Target.
Cleansers -Bliss Labs - Fabulous Foaming Face Wash
productaholic 5/22/2007 12:44:00 AM
I stayed at the W and got samples of this. The only thing like others have said is that it doesn't really foam. It exfoliates and it cleanses my make up off well. My skin looks pretty good right now and no break outs so far. Luckily my friend works at the W and has scored me a bunch of them. I'd definitely buy more if I didn't have the hook up though because my skin is pretty happy right now.
Moisturizers -C.O. Bigelow - Extra Light Face Lotion [DISCONTINUED]
productaholic 5/22/2007 12:42:00 AM
**Update. I went to get a facial and the lady said my face was too dry and the moisturizer I am using is not strong enough. I found a replacement that works better.**** It's taken me a while to find a moisturizer that works for me. I have combination skin that is dry and oily. I've tried tons of stuff but everything makes my skin so greasy. I went to a Bath and Bodyworks outlet and they had mini bottles on sale for $2. I decided to try it out. I loved it. I regret not buying more at such a good price. I've bought more at regular price because it really works for my skin. My skin is moisturized and isn't shiny later in the day. I love it!
