Moisturizers -Trader Joe's - Nourish Oil-Free Antioxidant Facial Moisturizer
prncessjasmine 7/13/2012 1:56:00 AM
i worked in a place who sold high-end skin care! This has many things in it that are awesome. Its even parben free, oil and fragrance free. It has coffee in it for skin tightening, vitamin c for anti aging and hyper pigmentation, vitamin A for anti aging, pomegranate an antioxidant, coenzyme Q10, chamomile &aloe to sooth skin, vitamin K, and shea butter. Many ingredients that are in high end moisterizers. It goes into your skin easily and doesnt have a greasy feeling. I recomend it for all skin type but people who tend to break out. It has ingredients that you can pronounce.

Eye Shadow -Paula Dorf - Eye shadow
prncessjasmine 8/2/2008 4:26:00 AM
Yes paula dorf does have a lot of pigmentation.....just as much as mac but their colors are not as wild. she made her whole line to be friendly for all skin tones which i love. I like that you can use the transformer and make liner out of any of her shadows. If anyone has problems with the eyeshadow getting all over the place heres what you do......trick of the trade......shadow first foundation/ concelor last.....so you can clean up any bo bo's. favorite colors- mambo, golddigger, metro, stardust, tease, and halo

Brows -Paula Dorf - Brow Duo in "Brunette"
prncessjasmine 8/2/2008 4:17:00 AM
love this.....your eyebrows look more natural with it. um the girl that said you can use it as shadow and liner.....dont do that only the shadow can be transformed into liner. use the brow duo only for eyebrows.....it has little microfibers in it.......they just changed packaging and now it has a duo plus the wax to keep it on all day. Only reason I know all this is cause i work at a salon/beauty supply. I also was the one picked to go to the dorf training (each one of us in each store did) we learned all about the product, ingredients, and how to apply.

Hair Styling Tools -Solano - HAI Convertable Flat Iron
prncessjasmine 8/2/2008 4:12:00 AM
yes yes yes. to all that rated this high you are right. both my stylist either use this one or the regular one inch haistick which i really recommend a one inch because you can get closer to the roots. sometime customers think its expensive but i always tell them both my stylist had them for several years and myself included and they keep them on 8 hours at a time and they havent blown. wipe them with alchol to keep them clean. heat protectants build up on them. This flat iron heats up quickly, is pure ceramic, and has a temp control. its 1 1/4 iches and I think its a little longer. I wouldnt go any wider for a flat iron cause you should flat iron with small sections. Oh and never never never have damp hair. even if the flat iron says wet dry people! go ask your stylist :)

Hair Styling Tools -Farouk CHI - Chi Ceramic Flat Iron by Farouk
prncessjasmine 8/2/2008 4:03:00 AM
Now i dont have this flat iron but i get more returns....its not that it doesnt work it just breaks or blows out easly. I recommend the Hai stick. and if you are to get a chi go for the nano digital one....for some reason we havent had as many returns on that one. plus the nano means it will be anti bacterial so its like if youd dont wash your hair the next day and flat iron it sort of cleans it. now if you have this chi already be sure to turn it off! oh and my stylist at my job both Hai flat irons. One has the hai stick and the other the hai convertable

Styling Products -Alterna - Hemp Seed Texturizing Glaze
prncessjasmine 8/2/2008 3:54:00 AM
I love this product too! have naturally curly hair myself. this is one of our number one curl enhancer in my store. i think when we do get a return its because most people dont know how to use the product or put too much on........if its too heavy just use a little or coctail with a serum or leave in condistioner. be sure to emulsafy in your hands and distribute evenly thru the hair. its has hemp seed oil in it and really conditions it. I would probably not recommend it to someone who has thinner or really fine wavy hair. Id use a much lighter spray in for them!

Conditioner -Pureology - Hydrate Conditioner
prncessjasmine 8/2/2008 3:46:00 AM
yeah ladies this is expensive and it doesnt work on everyone. but i love love love it. it does have a minty smell which i personally love and its a good scalp stimulator. little goes a long way pureology shampoos and conditioners are very concentrated( very little water) I wouldnt recommend if you have really fine hair to use the purple hydrating line. use the pink(volumizing) line. but volumizers tend to dry because its putting sort of a film on your hair to amp it up. so alternate with a hydrating conditioner or a lightweight leave in. the product holds my color in, makes my hair smell fab, and it feels silky.........my hair is very naturally curly(which curly hair tends to be dry) and it is perfect for it. be sure to get a pump if you get the liter size because the conditioner is thick! :)

Shampoo -Matrix - Biolage - Hydrating Shampoo
prncessjasmine 8/1/2008 11:24:00 PM
I work at a place who sells matrix. many customers love it but they probably only used drugstore quality.......beware people it has sulfates which strip your color and natural oils.....sulfates are the lathering agent in many products including laudry detergent. this shampoo sucks and ever their color safe line has sulfates in it. do not use it! I made the mistake when i first started working at my job cause i only used cheap products. then i used this and it still dried my hair out. went high end the problem is solved
