Lipstick -Rimmel - Moisture Renew - Nude Delight
priscillaaa 9/10/2011 11:23:00 PM
I was really excited for this lipstick. My first nude lipstick. However, it doesn't keep my lips moisturized at all. Also, the colour isn't that great for my skin tone, it makes me look kind of dead. But I'm going to keep on trying it out with lipglosses until I can find the perfect combo.

Polishes -Essie - Eternal Optimist #676
priscillaaa 9/10/2011 11:20:00 PM
This is my first Essie nail polish ever.. and I am SO in love. I'm definitely going to go back to Walmart to grab a few more. They are kind of expensive for my liking though.. they're around $8 CAD at Walmart, which I understand is cheaper than the usual price for an Essie polish, but still kind of expensive for me. This is also one of my first "nude-toned down" type nail polishes. I'm usually a very bright nail girl. However, I love this colour, I was super surprised by it. It looks amazing with my skin tone, applies beautifully and has excellent coverage. I've had it on for almost a three-four days now, no chipping at all. I work part time at a restaurant, so that's really impressive! Would definitely buy again.

Polishes -Revlon - Top Speed - Jaded #320
priscillaaa 5/18/2011 3:41:00 PM
The colour is lovely, I have to give it that. A true jade colour. However, there are many downsides to this. To start off.. this is probably the worse smelling polish that I have! The scent is unbearable. The brush is a bit on the small side. The formula is very hard to work with. It's thin, but goops up easily on the nail, making it VERY hard to work with. It took me about three-four coats on each nail.

Powder -Bare Escentuals - BareMinerals foundation #2.3 Medium Beige
priscillaaa 3/16/2011 5:10:00 PM
I think it's complete bull that they sell this as a full coverage foundation even with just a tiny bit of the foundation. Tiny bit of it does nothing for me... I have some discolouration on my skin from post-acne marks, and this doesn't cover it up. However, it does provide a tad bit of coverage on it, which makes it less noticeable. It is great as an everyday, look-natural thing. I would actually say that the coverage is more on the light side. I don't necessarily have dry skin, I have combo-oily, but I don't drink a lot of water, so my skin does tend to look dry at times, and this accentuates it like crazy. I believe this would work best on those who already have good skin and don't need much coverage. I would buy this again, only because I want to try a different colour. I got this in the Sephora Starter Set and the colour is a tad bit light for me.

Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Summer Fruit
priscillaaa 2/25/2011 4:39:00 PM
I like it and I don't. Packaging - Super cute, that's what drew me towards it! Smell - I like the smell a lot! But once applied, I find that it fades super quickly. Application - I thought it was going to be a whole sphere, kind of like the travel perfume rolly things. But when I put it on and it didn't roll around I was quite disappointed, cause I think then it would have been much cooler, haha. It glides on very nicely though! Moisturizing - Not at all.. The feel of it is gone within five minutes or so, and my lips don't feel any moisture. I would buy it again just because I want to own all flavours cause the packaging is damn cute!

Treatments -Mario Badescu - Drying Cream
priscillaaa 2/20/2011 12:56:00 AM
To be honest here, I haven't bought this product yet! Every time I order from Mario Badescu, I just get this as a sample, and let me tell you, it lasts forever! A little of this product goes a LONG way. I don't think I'll be buying it as long as I keep purchasing my other items from Mario Badescu, I can keep on getting a sample of this each time! Anyway.. onto the product itself. It does work. It dries out the smaller pimples, and decreases the life span of cystic acne!

Treatments -Mario Badescu - Buffering Lotion
priscillaaa 2/20/2011 12:54:00 AM
Does it work? Yes and no. I started to feel a cystic acne form underneath my skin, so I quickly dabbed this on at night. No, it didn't stop the cystic acne from forming even bigger, but it did substantially cut down the time of the break out. I know that it's supposed to be formulated for just cystic acne, but I couldn't help and try it on smaller pimples. I think it's a hit or miss.. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Application is kinda messy too!

Masks -Mario Badescu - whitening mask
priscillaaa 2/20/2011 12:52:00 AM
I have acne scarring on my face, and this is what I primarily use this product for. To begin, let me just say, I LOVE the smell of this so much! It's sweet smelling, but not overbearing, love it! I leave it on for the recommended time, 10-15 minutes. After a few uses, I saw that my skin began to improve. I don't use it that much, only when I remember to, so the scarring hasn't completely disappeared, but it is getting much better with the use of this, sunscreen and time. I've tried using it as a spot treatment for overnight, but only two or three times, I didn't see that much of a difference in the morning though.

Treatments -Mario Badescu - Anti Acne Serum
priscillaaa 2/20/2011 12:49:00 AM
It does work for me, HOWEVER, it breaks me out even more at first. I tested this product out on my forehead one night because I had a few tiny pimples, the next morning I had even more! I kept using it consistently and then my pimples started to go away. So I think this takes time for you skin to get used to.. but it happens every time. Sometimes I don't use it for a week or two, and pick it back up, and the whole cycle starts again. It was a waste of my $20!!!

Cleansers -Mario Badescu - Acne Facial Cleanser
priscillaaa 2/20/2011 12:46:00 AM
I'm actually unsure as if I would buy this product again.. I've tried multiple, multiple cleansers, and to be completely honest, I have no idea if they actually work or not.. I still get break outs. I have combination skin that is acne prone. I don't get extra breakouts from this, but this doesn't completely stop my breakouts. I believe this is because my breakouts aren't from dirt or my oils clogging up my pores, but more of a stress and hormonal type of pimples. It doesn't dry my skin out, and is very gentle. I was very weirded out at first when it didn't foam because I've never used a cleanser that hasn't foamed. It leaves my skin feeling clean. The packaging could be better, I wish it was a pump!

Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blacktrack
priscillaaa 2/16/2011 2:59:00 PM
Absolutely love this eyeliner! It lasts forever too, so even though the price is kind of steep, I think it's worth it. The colour is great, a true black, it glides on amazingly too! It also stays on my waterline the whole day without smudging!!! I use this often on my tightline too. Overall, love this stuff.

Cleansers -Aveeno - Ultra-Calming Foaming Cleanser
priscillaaa 2/15/2011 1:17:00 AM
I like this product. I've used it for quite a while now, but I've stopped since I found a new cleanser. However, I pull it out when my skin is aggravated and I don't want my cleanser to be as harsh. The smell is different, I'm not sure how to explain it that well, but it's very nostalgic for me, weird.. I know. It washes off my make up, and it's gentle enough for everyday use.

Treatments -Biore - Pore Cleansing Strips - Nose
priscillaaa 2/12/2011 7:02:00 PM
I really wish these pulled EVERYTHING out from my nose pores. I have noticeable pores on my cheeks and nose, and it really bugs me. They do pull out some of the gunk, and I'm happy with that. I've tried the Biore nose trips from Asia. I'm not entirely sure if they're the same, but it seems that the Asian ones work better for me.

Misc Beauty Tools -Shu Uemura - Eyelash Curler
priscillaaa 2/12/2011 6:59:00 PM
I love this eyelash curler. It curls my lashes beautifully. I have the straight Asian lashes, and this really saves the day. I've tried numerous eyelash curlers, but none of them measure up to Shu Uemura's. The price is a bit steep, but it's worth it, the pads last for a long time! I've been on the same padding since August 2010. The box comes with an extra one, and I lost it, so I'm really upset about that. The curler doesn't pinch my lids or anything. Sometimes my lashes come out, but that's fully my fault because I'm trying to rush it. Overall, amazing eyelash curler.

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - Smoke Out Eye Liner in Purple Haze
priscillaaa 2/12/2011 6:31:00 PM
I bought this off of Hautelook's $2 Urban Decay sale. So that's why I rated the price as 1 star, because that's EXTREMELY cheap. I don't know the full price of this, but whatever it is, it is NOT worth it at all. The colour is a lovely soft purple. I've been looking for a purple like this for a while. It looks good swatched on my hand. However, it is IMPOSSIBLE to apply dry. It tugs my eyelid when I try to apply it to my lashline. If I'm applying it to my lower lashline, the moisture from my eyes wets it a bit, and then the colour applies much easier. The staying power isn't so great either. The other end of the pencil includes a smudger. However, when using it to smudge, the colour completely dissapears. Overall, a big no no. Waste of my $2 haha
