I have acne-prone skin and am always hesitant to try new products. Consequently, when I find something that works for me, I stick with it. This product is my HG for my day moisturizer and I’ve been using it for over a year now. I love the fact that it’s a moisturizer & at the same time, it provides a really good SPF spectrum. Those qualities are important for me because I am in the age where wrinkle PREVENTION is key! I apply this every AM, after toning & applying serum (it still works just as fine when I don't use serum). One pump is enough for my whole face and ½ a pump covers my neck. With the amount that I use daily, this whole bottle can last approximately 2 months. As others here have already mentioned, this product does leave the white tint on your face, but only for the first few minutes until it becomes completely absorbed. The product also leave a slight oily finish (like actual sunblock does) but is easily fixed by applying foundation or even just a thin layer of finishing powder. I do notice that it also leaves a faint smell of sunblock, but the smell does go away within the hour of application. The oily finish, temporary white tint, and sunblock-ish smell are factors I can forgive because the most important is that it does not break my sensitive skin out… Additionally, it is affordable and it does provide the moisture & SPF I need for everyday use. If it may help, I’ve started using this product when I lived in a tropical climate (warm, humid, and lots of sun). I still use this while I now live in the cold, dry winter seasons. In both completely different environments, this product remains PERFECT for my skin’s needs.

Treatments -L'Oreal - Youth Code Regenerating Skincare Serum Intense Daily Treatment

I bought this product after reading that this is the drug store version of Lancome’s Genefique serum. I even read a review that stated this product is basically “the same thing” because Lancome and L’Oreal are sister companies. I loved Genefique and how it made my skin feel; but after I finished my first bottle, I knew it was too pricey to buy again. I really hoped Youth Code could do for me what Genefique did. Considering how much cheaper it is compared to Genefique, I am not surprised that this product felt like a “diluted” or less concentrated version of it. While the effects of both products on my skin were similar, Youth Code’s softening, smoothing, and plumping effect was not as “intense” as the ones Genefique offers. All in all, considering the price difference, that is still fair and reasonable for Youth Code’s performance. With that said, I am sad to say that despite how good it made my skin felt, it also BROKE ME OUT. If not for that, Youth Code would’ve been a perfect replacement for Genefique for me! I am jealous of those of you whose skin this works so well on. It was worth a try! On an important note, many may be misled to think this is a moisturizer; it is NOT a moisturizer but a serum meant to be applied before a moisturizer.
