Loose Powders -Clinique - Blended Face Powder and Brush
rated 4 of 5
prettyseaeagle 5/11/2012 2:41:00 PM

This loose powder is sadly underrated! When buffed on with a loose fluffy brush, this gives the most flawless finish to my skin and works well with a variety of liquid foundations and BB creams in my stash. Oil control is commendable but after a few hours I do look a little dewy (not shiny). This also blends in well with my liquid products so it does not make me look caked-up or powdery. I am NC20 and I use 08 Transparency Neutral.

Lipstick -Clinique - Butter Shine Lipstick - First Love
rated 4 of 5
prettyseaeagle 5/11/2012 2:27:00 PM

First Love is a sheer warm pink on the lips and adds a touch of colour and shine when applied. It is a very moisturizing lip colour so do not expect it to last very long. The colour is also rather sheer and may not show up on pigmented lips. It is a very foolproof lipstick to wear and is great for girls who are new to make up.

Eyeliner -Clinique - Cream shaper for eyes black diamond
rated 3 of 5
prettyseaeagle 5/11/2012 2:20:00 PM

This goes on more grey than black. I love how creamy this glides on but I wish I did not have to go over the line so much just to get it to show up as black. It does not smudge on my upper lashline (when used with UDPP) but smudges easily on my waterline. I prefer Milani Liquif'eye on the waterline because it is so long lasting. Will not repurchase because there are many other eyeliners out there which outperforms this one at a cheaper price point.

Blush -Clinique - fresh bloom allover colour
rated 4 of 5
prettyseaeagle 5/11/2012 2:17:00 PM

I have this in Peony. It gives me a really pretty peachy pink on my cheeks with a nice sheen that makes my cheekbones pop. I have received many compliments whenever I wear this blush. I love how it looks like in the pan too! The colour is a little sheer so it probably would not show up well on ladies with darker skins.

Eye Makeup Remover -Clinique - Take The Day Off Eye Makeup Remover
rated 4 of 5

Does what it claims to do. I like that it is able to remove waterproof eye makeup in a jiffy and yet remains gentle on the eyes. Great for people with sensitive eyelids.

Blush -Clinique - Blushing Blush Powder Blush - Precious Posy
rated 5 of 5
prettyseaeagle 5/11/2012 2:10:00 PM

I love the colour of this blush, it is a cheery peachy pink that reminds me of NARS Orgasm without the crazy sparkles. This makes me look young and fresh-faced and goes well with a variety of eye makeup looks. Definitely recommend.

Cleansers -Clinique - Liquid Facial Soap - Mild
rated 4 of 5
prettyseaeagle 5/11/2012 2:05:00 PM

The Liquid Facial Soap Mild performs well as a cleanser. It cleanses without stripping my skin of moisture unlike other foaming cleansers on the market. It is a good basic cleanser to have. However, I notice that the packaging is highly defective as I had experienced faulty pumps on 2 separate occasions.

Lipstick -Clinique - Chubby Stick (all shades)
rated 4 of 5
prettyseaeagle 5/11/2012 2:03:00 PM

I have this in Woppin Watermelon, Super Strawberry and Fuller Fig. I suffer from chronically dry lips and these do not cause my lips to crack and peel despite wearing them alone without a lip balm. However, I do not think that they provide bursts of moisture like what Clinique claims but they do not subtract moisture from my lips when I have them on. Comes in a chubby tube which makes it very portable and easy to apply on the go. Good to haves but not necessarily must haves.

Mascara -Clinique - Lash Power
rated 4 of 5
prettyseaeagle 5/11/2012 1:58:00 PM

I have used up tubes of this stuff. This is definitely HG for me because of the way it dramatically lengthens my lashes. It also does provide slight volume without clumping. The tiny brush is also great for short and stubby Asian lashes. I wear this a lot on my lower lashes too and received lots of compliments. I love how smudge-proof and water-resistant it is even in high humidity. The best part? It is so easy to remove with warm water in the shower without the need for a separate eye makeup remover. Will repurchase in a heartbeat! The downside is that this mascara seems to dry up easily in the tube shortening its life span. One lippie down for that but otherwise this is easily the best mascara I've ever used in my life.

Lipstick -Clinique - Chubby Stick - Super Strawberry
rated 5 of 5
prettyseaeagle 3/15/2012 12:58:00 PM

This is a review on the colour #07 Super Strawberry. This is the most popular colour where I live and constantly sells out and I see why! I own this in four colours and this is my favourite. I love this shade - it looks scary dark in the tube but translates to a soft berry pink on the lips. As for claims that this makes a good lip balm, I beg to differ. This does not hydrate the lips in any way even though it does not dry out the lips further. Something like the new Revlon Lip Butters in my opinion but I prefer the finishing and texture of Clinique Chubby Sticks. It leaves a soft satin finish on the lips and makes your lips look naturally moist and full without the heavy waxy feeling of a lipstick or the sticky shine of a lip gloss. It also lasts approximately 1-2 hours on me without eating or drinking and eventually fades off leaving a beautiful stain on the lips. Applying a lip balm before reapplication is necessary for those who suffer from dry and flaky lips. However, I dislike the new packaging even though it's supposed to be more convenient (without having to sharpen). If you stay in a humid tropical country like I do, chances are that the chubby stick would melt and the bullet would rub against the wall of the tube. Might even break if you twist out too much :( Would I repurchase though? In a heartbeat.

Highlighters -Guerlain - Meteorites Cruel Gardenia
rated 4 of 5
prettyseaeagle 1/18/2012 10:31:00 PM

When applied with a loose fluffy brush, the Cruel Gardenia Météorites Pressed Powder gives the most subtle healthy glow to the skin without making one look like a disco ball. When used as a highlighter, a small dense brush is required to pick up enough colour without caking on too much product. This product works well both ways. However, in my opinion, this is nice to have but not an absolute must have unless you are a collector or Guerlain fan. The product is not particularly unique save for the design. The packaging sucks though; you might want to be careful with the screw on top because it might nick the petals on the powder.

Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation
rated 3 of 5
prettyseaeagle 8/12/2011 11:28:00 PM

I have no idea why this foundation is so highly raved. While it works great for me, it doesn't make me go WOW like I should be especially when it seems to fail no one. The coverage is sheer to medium which I love and it goes on smoothly. However it doesn't last the whole day for me when I do not even have oily skin to begin with. Also, the shade I got is way too dark for me. Im NC20 and got it in #120 but I feel like I should go one shade down instead. Makes me look like I have a fake tan on or something. It looked ok once applied but after an hour or so it oxidizes to an awful orange and just looks nasty. Sigh. I really wanted to love this, but the shade and longevity that is bothering me. All in all, expensive for the quality.

Liquid -Stila - Illuminating Liquid Foundation
rated 4 of 5
prettyseaeagle 7/19/2011 3:49:00 AM

This is a sheer liquid foundation with shimmers and dries down to a tacky dewy finish. The texture is lightweight and is liquid-y without being too runny. It is excellent for those days when you want to look polished without looking too made up. Oil control is fair though, and I'd see this working best on people with dry/combination skins rather than oily skins. Although the shimmer is invisible once applied, I can still spot subtle shimmer bits on my skin in direct sunlight. I'm not a fan of shimmers in my foundations so I will not repurchase but I genuinely love the texture and coverage of this LF because it made me look like I have naturally flawless skin.

Treatments -Clinique - Acne Solutions Spot Healing Gel
rated 4 of 5
prettyseaeagle 7/12/2011 12:53:00 PM

A basic spot treatment gel that forms a protective film over the blemish when dried. Works well for small blemishes or red bumps. They usually disappear overnight after I dab the Spot Treatment Gel on them. Does not work on cystic acne at all. Good to have, but not a must have. I find that Mario Badescu Drying Lotion works far better on both small blemishes and cysts. 16 Mar 2012: Upped my rating to 4. This began working amazingly well on most of my blemishes and bumps. Learnt that this is not meant for cystic acne at all. A great product for the price. I'm still on my first tube since the initial posting of this review and I'm still not done with it yet.

Cleansers -Clinique - Rinse-off foaming cleanser
rated 4 of 5
prettyseaeagle 7/12/2011 12:51:00 PM

This is a make up remover + facial cleanser. However I don't trust this to remove full make up (ie. sunblock, liquid foundation, waterproof eyeliners/mascaras etc) so I usually use this after a cleansing oil or cleansing milk (both work for me). I only use this on its own when I am wearing very light makeup (think: sunblock + loose powder). Leaves my skin feeling very clean after cleansing but can be a tad drying as with all foamy cleansers.
