Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Extra Virgin Olive Oil

I used to be a product junkie, testing every product out there and now the toll has taken effect on my complexion as I waltz into my 30s. I have dehydrated, sensitive, acne prone, lackluster and dull complexion and make up hardly stays on. I was using hada labo religiously for years after I stopped trying out products but it didn't really helped to improve my complexion. I was having this massive break out (like eight pimples and scars all over my face, congested pores) and on a whim, I bought EVOO after reading through the reviews here. I popped down to the health food store and got myself a 500ml bottle of Bariani EVOO (S$20.80). I was really sceptical about using it on my face after the whole experimentation with essential oils but oh hell, what can be worse than the current condition? So here is my routine, I wash my face with Sukin foaming facial wash then applied a drop of EVOO, rub it between my palms and pressed it on my face, followed by massaging it into the skin. I do that for my face, neck and eyes. Bariani is really light and easily absorbed so no issue with the oily feel. It does leaves a slight layer of oil over the skin but I am fine with it considering how parched my skin was. First night of using it, I had eight big pimples due to my prior breakout. Next morning when I woke up, my pimples became smaller, one was ready to pop, a few of them closed up nicely and one emerging pimple decreased in size! My face was less flaky and less maddening red. A week of using it and my skin was much better. The breakouts started to heal and my face was more glowy. It was much more hydrated too. I also used it on my hair and hands and will attempt to use it as a make up remover too. One big bottle at a price of the fraction of all cosmetic products and I am sold!

Moisturizers -Eucerin - Hydro-balance Moisturizing cream [DISCONTINUED]
prettiesnow 12/11/2008 11:11:00 AM
This is a very good oil free, non alcohol and hypoallergic gel cream for normal to combination skin! I have combi skin that can tend towards oily skin sometimes. I was using the skin regulating creme gel and my face became really dry and taut, so i switched to this. It was very lightweight in texture, and easily absorbed by the skin. I find it really hydrating and it made my skin looks very smooth too. I think it helped with my pimples too, they are less angry and less are popping out. The thing i like about it is it's oil free and alcohol free! This is indeed great news for my sensitive skin that is prone to acne and being alcohol conscious, this alcohol product made it better. It's a tad pricey though in SG but i do not mind repurchasing it and I will repurchase it.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Fine Fairness Cleanser
prettiesnow 12/10/2008 10:44:00 PM
This is a fantastic product. I got it from the sample kit from Neutrogena then i went to purchase my own tube. The price is cheap for a cleanser. I'm probably the funny one cause I love the smell. Very soy bean smell to me. It's very gentle, doesn't foams up too much, and goes on gently on the skin. It doesn't dries up my skin, no tight and taut feeling after using it. I find that my face has this rosy glow after using the whole fine fairness range.

Moisturizers -Sothys - Immunscience Fluid
prettiesnow 7/26/2008 2:58:00 PM
I got recommended to use this by my facialist. I popped into a salon that retails sothys products and I was going with the idea of trying out the purifying range. However, the beautician there said my skin was more towards the sensitive side and I should treat that first before anything else. Having got a bad experience with Dermalogica sensitive products before, I was quite skeptical about the idea of using products for sensitive recommended by salons. In my impression they tend to be too heavy and oily for my skin. Decided to give it a go due to the raves that my friends were saying about sothys products. It has been one week of using this product and I can see a difference to my skin. It's now very smooth, the pores are not visible, the skin is soft and hydrated, skin is not flushed and red that easily during day time, my outbreaks has subsided and the little red dots are starting to heal. I have no breakouts so far too. In fact after starting on the sensitive line, my outbreaks actually subsided. Perhaps the facial with the beautician using the 3 steps sensitive system work too. Overall, I'm very pleased with this products and I will repurchase it when my bottle finish. That is if i don't get tempted to stray off again. Probably the only thing I don't fancy about this product is the packaging. I would much prefer it to come in a pump bottle. Once I didn't close my cap tightly and I brought it out in my bag for a stayover and quite some moisturiser got squashed out. Heart pain about it.

This is pretty economical considered I only use two little pumps for the whole face and it does the second step of cleansing pretty well. I have no breakouts so far too. In fact after starting on the sensitive line, my outbreaks actually subsided. Perhaps the facial with the beautician using the 3 steps sensitive system work too. Cleansers -Sothys - Soothing Beauty Milk

Quite skeptical about the idea of using only cleansing milk to cleanse my face. I was recommended to use the beauty milk as my cleanser and then followed by the soothing lotion to remove any residual cleansing milk. It has been one week that I'm using it so far and my face is pretty clean and smooth after using this. It was also very soft and moisturised, not feeling drying and tight at all (which i have with some cleansers). I have no breakouts so far too. Moisturizers -Paula's Choice - Skin Balancing Moisture Gel
prettiesnow 5/2/2008 5:05:00 AM
I am such an avid Paula's Choice fan now! I use basically everything, from the cleanser to the moisturiser and sunscreen all from them. I need a moisturiser as I was having dehydration problem and my skin was not moisturised enough. This was really lightweight, kinda feels likes olay serum texture, very siliconey feeling. The finish is matte, as if you have not applied anything at all. Yet you wake up with a smooth and glowing face that is neither oily nor dry. Plus, this also help to hydrate my skin problem so I didn't have those lil bumps that kept coming up due to dehydration problem. My face is smooth, glowy, clear now. This is going to be my HG moisturiser for night time use from now on.

Treatments -Paula's Choice - Skin Perfecting 1% BHA Lotion Exfoliant [REFORMULATED]
prettiesnow 2/25/2008 12:48:00 AM
After much contemplation of trying out Paula's Choice products, I finally went ahead to get it. Was really glad that I went ahead to purchase this product as after 3 weeks plus down the road, I could see that my skin is actually improving. My skin was very smooth, and the pores are cleaner too, I get less clogged pores and breakouts are lesser. I'm only using this with their one step facial cleanser and sunblock and nothing else. Occasionally I do add in my own toner as I need some hydration but the bha gel itself is enough to hydrate my skin most of the time. I have combi to oily skin btw. I only wish SG has a counter for Paula's Choice products as it's such a hassle to get it.

Cleansers -Paula's Choice - One Step Face Cleanser-Normal to Dry Skin
prettiesnow 2/24/2008 10:00:00 PM
I love love love this cleanser! I have been wanting to try PC's products for ages but owing to the difficulties in obtaining the products in SG, I got put off by it and didn't bother to try. Finally in a desperate attempt as I have breakouts againa and I really wanted to be rid of the breakouts, I called up PC SG and asked them for help. I have combi oily skin, sensitive and slightly dehydrated. I was recommended to use this cleanser instead, which surprises me as it was for normal to dry skin but the person reassured that it's just gentler in formulation and much more suitable for me. So I'm 3 weeks plus, coming to a month down the road using this cleanser. I am amazed that it does remove make up well and it isn't drying a bit at all. I still have scars all over and breakouts initially but it's not decreasing, my face is less oily and smooth now, when i use this cleanser with the bha treatment. I'm pretty much happy with the results although I still have alot of scars to deal with. Now, I'm going to order their toner for moisturisation and their foundation as I'm very pleased with the products. The only irk of this product is that it's really hard to get in SG as there are no over the counters available and you have to either order it through online or through email and you take like about a week to receive it afterwards, which is not very appealing to me as I tend to be a very impatient buyer. The results are wonderful though so I will have to bear with the troublesome procedure. I do hope that they will have a counter in SG.

Toners -Eucerin - Daily Control & Care Toner
prettiesnow 1/1/2008 3:26:00 AM
I'm so happy to be using this acne prone range from Eucerin for my nasty breakouts. The whole line is cheap and it works wonder. I'm using the cleanser, toner, moisturiser and the cover cream to help me with my breakouts. The toner is awesome, didn't like it initially cause it left my face sticky but hey, it helps to clear up some blemishes, clogged pores, hydrate, and also made my acne scars less red and dark. I can live with the stickiness if it helps to clear up my skin!

Treatments -Eucerin - Clarifying Creme Gel
prettiesnow 1/1/2008 3:23:00 AM
This product it awesome, contrary to the negative reviews given, this works fabulously on me. Yes, it's sticky but the sticky feeling goes away after awhile. It has help to clear up my little clogged pores and help to reduce the size of some big acne! Plus, the redness of the acne scars are also not as prominent as before. I will continue using it to help me clear up my breakouts! This work awfully well on my cousin till his breakouts are under control!

Cleansers -Eucerin - Impure Skin Sebum Reducing Cleansing Gel
prettiesnow 1/1/2008 3:21:00 AM
Awesome product! It's relatively cheap, below $20 SGD, a nice gel formula that foams up but not too much, just how much i like it. It has minimal ingredients but it works great to clear up blemishes. Just 2 days of use, it has help to make some small clogs go away and some of the big pimples are finally coming down. It smells okay to me too, best of all, it helps to clear my nasty little clogs and blemishes! Will continue to use it to clear up my breakouts!

Toners -Estee Lauder - Perfectly Clean Fresh Balancing Lotion
prettiesnow 12/5/2007 10:35:00 PM
I have only been using this for a short while so I can't really comment whether it is worth 5 lippies. However, the period I was using it, I realised that my skin was smoother, more hydrated and pores are smaller. It also gives this cooling sensation after toning and it does help to clean up any residue impurities. It's quite pricey at $47.00 SGD but so far it did no harm to my skin and I'm quite pleased with it. Updated: After using it for quite sometime, it made no difference to my skin. Perhaps my skin was too stubborn to feel anything.

Cleansers -Estee Lauder - Perfectly Clean Splash Away Foaming Cleanser
prettiesnow 12/5/2007 10:33:00 PM
This is the first cleanser I tried from Estee Lauder. It's not bad but does have an overly clean feeling after cleansing which I'm not used to, so that's why I gave it 4 lippies. However it does a very effective job in cleansing though, my skin was really clean and I noticed that my pores are cleaner too. I also noticed that my skin was smoother and pores are smaller when using this. This did not dried up my skin though. However, it's a little pricey but a little goes a long way, so the price could be justified. Updated: My skin gets drier after using the wash for quite some time. Perhaps my sensitive skin was acting up.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Cellnique Pro Sebum Gel
prettiesnow 11/28/2007 9:29:00 AM
This product has a lot of raves for it and me, being tempted by the raves, bought it to try. No harm, since it has 14 days money back guarantee. It is pricey, $69.90 SGD in a 30ml bottle, and you need to use 3 pumps each time, although I only uses 2 pumps. It contains tea tree oil, eucalyptus oil, aloe vera, sodium hyaluronate. It's power to clear blackheads and whiteheads is really amazing! It's much more better than my beloved LRP effaclar K in clearing up my gunk in the pores. I was indeed surprised and it helped to keep my face very very matte too! I will repurchase it when I finished up with my current bottle.
