Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - MegaChrome Eyeliner Pencil
poof126 1/24/2012 4:29:00 AM
By far the worst eyeliner I have ever used. Nearly pierced a hole in my eyelid trying to use these, and when I finally got the tiniest amount of colour to show, pigmentation was patchy and just...ugh. Even tried heating it up with a hairdryer to make it softer, still nothing. DO NOT BUY.

Polishes -Boots - No7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour
poof126 12/28/2011 6:50:00 AM
Only got this because I had a £5 voucher, definitely not worth the original £7 price tag. In fact, if I had another £5 voucher I wouldn't spend £2 again for this, not even worth that price. Only nice thing I can say about this (Night Silver 62) is the colour. This polish chips like crazy! Even after 3 coats, it can barely last a day without chipping. With a top coat on, it just barely scrapes through about 3 days. After a week, literally only half of it is left. I'd rather spend my money on Barry M polishes

Liquid -Bourjois - Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation
poof126 10/23/2011 5:34:00 AM
I've always hated liquid foundation - I could never find a shade that matches perfectly, and there always seemed to be a problem - too greasy, or too dry, too much coverage, not enough coverage, and generally just looked fake. So before this I never really used liquid foundation, I survived with my trusty powder I LOVE THIS! It's perfect perfect in every single way. Just enough coverage, but still looks exactly like skin. I'm using shade 53 and it matches my skin perfectly. Super easy to blend, and lasts a reasonable time, and doesn't rub off! Definitely repurchasing.

Eyeliner -E.L.F. - Cream Eyeliner - Midnight
poof126 6/5/2011 7:16:00 AM
urgghh should've read the reviews for this specific shade before getting it. After reading the rave reviews for coffee and black, I got myself this one. Only thing good I can say about this is it certainly is creamy and glides on nicely. However pigmentation is terrible, and to make it worse its impossible to build up, attempting to do so only results in a clumpy mess. Doesn't last very long either - melted on my normal eyelids after about 5 hours wear - which is lousy for a cream eyeliner. Brush is totally crap, too short to work with, and bristles are too thin. DO NOT BUY THIS. I only give it two lippies for the price and consistency.

Conditioner -Aussie - Miracle Hair Insurance Leave in Conditioner
poof126 5/22/2011 4:49:00 PM
Love this! Bought this after reading the good reviews on it and am not disappointed. I didn't get instant results like I did with other leave-in conditioners - all the ones I've used before were lotions and my hair felt instantly softer, but this one is a spray that dries to leave behind a tacky residue on my hand. However, after three weeks of daily use, I've noticed my hair is a lot softer and less dry. Amazing smell (some people might find it a bit too much). I do have one complain - the spray is not very good, and the spray comes out a bit unevenly sometimes. Even products from Boot's own range give finer mists.

Misc Beauty Tools -E.L.F. - Mechanical Eyelash Curler

Nothing impressive about these at all. After reading the reviews here, I made an order cause I needed new ones anyway. They're not terrible, but nothing to shout about either. I'd rather pay a bit more for a better pair.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Small Angled Brush
poof126 5/14/2011 7:56:00 AM
LOVE LOVE LOVE this brush!!! Can't beat the price for this standard of excellecnt quality!! Bristles are firm and perfectly shaped and angled, I was this after every use and still not fallout. Great for applying gel eyeliner - perfect cat eye!, eyeshadow to lower lashline, and to my surprise, a very very good lip brush! Not for applying cream eyeshadow though, its too firm.

Concealers -Rimmel - Match Perfection Concealer
poof126 4/17/2011 10:05:00 AM
Got this for £2.99 off a beauty discount site (rrp £5.99), and this is definitely the best concealer I've ever used! Consistency is juuuust right - sheer enough to blend away under-eye circles and pigmented enough to cover up discolourations on other parts of the face. I'm using this in beige 030, and it is a perfect match for my skin tone. It claims to be a '2-in-1 concealer and highlighter, and it definitely conceals, but I'm not too sure about the highlighting capabilities. The packaging knocks off one lippie though - it comes in a squeezy tube with a brush applicator, and its difficult to control how much you want. A twist-click dispenser would be so much better.

Liquid -Rimmel - Stay Matte Foundation
poof126 2/1/2011 4:02:00 PM
Utter crap. Can't believe Rimmel actually made this, since I quite like some of their other products. Not at all as matte as it claims to be, yet somehow manages to look like poster paint on skin. Horrible to blend and leaves streaks. NEVER BUY THIS.

Polishes -Eyeko - Vintage Polish
poof126 1/26/2011 10:00:00 AM
The formula is only half decent, unfortunately. Very streaky, and took me 3 coats before I could get an okay result, still not perfect though, but I couldn't be bothered to do a fourth coat. It's drying time is not bad, which is just as well, because you have to do so many coats you wouldn't want to wait ages between coats. I did the final coat about 40 minutes before I went to bed and when I woke up I was pleasantly surprised to find zero sheetmarks. I will definitely repurchase again, especially if I can get it at the same price (was on discount for only 1.25 quid!), and the colour is beautiful - a pastel turquoise that leans more towards the greener side, a unique shade quite rare among drugstore brands.

Mascara -Eyeko - Eyeko's Mascara
poof126 1/25/2011 8:15:00 AM
I have read so many positive reviews on this mascara, so when I spotted it on sale, I jumped at the chance. HATE HATE HATE the brush!!! I personally don't really like the packaging, some may find it cute but I think it's a bit kitsch - in a bad way. That aside, like I said, I HATE the brush - it's basically a piece of firm wire with bristles stuck around it in a spiral - and clumps like CRAZY. Picks up wayyyyy too much product as well, the little valve-y bit that's built-in to scrape off excess product of the wand is pointless. I apply it with a clean old brush from one of my used-up mascaras, and am pleasantly surprised to find the formula is not too shabby! Amazing definition, doesn't clump (with the right brush of course), and lasts and lasts. However this takes quite a while to dry, so I have to be careful. I don't like wasting makeup so I will continue using it till it dries out, but would definitely not buy this again, not until Eyeko changes the useless brush

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Eyeshadow Brush
poof126 12/4/2010 4:24:00 PM
Everyone should have this brush. Everyone. It's not perfect, mind you, with mine, the glue attaching the ferrule to the handle has come loose. However, that's not too bad as I wash my brush quite often (and don't always hang them with bristle facing down like you're supposed to) and this problem can be solved by pushing it back into place whenever it falls out, without any shakiness. And, COME ON!!! It's a DOLLAR. Maybe MAC brushes use better glue, but so what? This costs only less than 1/20 of the price of a MAC!!! Apart from the slight annoyance about the glue, the bristles are lovely and soft. They're very dense, perfect for packing on eyeshadow. This little baby picks up colour like a magnet and transfers it onto the lid beautifully, with minimal fallout. With a little practice, I can now also do creasework with this brush. LOVE IT!!!

Lipstick -NYX - Paris
poof126 7/15/2010 6:42:00 AM
When I first received this in the mail, I was devastated! It looked like the most Barbie-y pink ever in the tube and when I tried it on, I was right. I loved the texture though and not wanting to waste it, I wore it under nude-ish lip gloss and the result was a gorgeous peachy pink. After a month of so of use, I tried it on its on, and surprisingly this time, I loved it! This is now my favourite lipstick. It isn't as bubblegum pink anymore, but still bright enough to be fun. I don't know if it's just my imagination, but I'm convinced the colour at the top of the tube is slightly different from the bottom. ???

Eye Shadow -NYX - Chrome Eyeshadow - Bayou
poof126 6/7/2010 5:00:00 AM
I agree with the last reviewer, the packaging is ridiculous. Mine didn't crack open or break, but it's just...dumb. The screw cap is dodgy, it doesn't open and close smoothly, and product comes up in little clouds every time I open it. Not very pigmented, which surprised me, after seeing all the beautiful swatches online - maybe I'm doing it wrong? Lovely colour though - I use it wet as an interesting eyeliner

Moisturizers -Garnier - Aqua Defense Gel Cream
poof126 5/12/2010 11:29:00 AM
This is fantastic for younger girls! The consistency is lovely - as the name says, its a gel/cream - so you get this wonderful cool gel that doesn't have that quick-dry alcohol rub feel! It's moisturising but not oily, which is why I think it's great for teenagers prone to oily skin and breakouts. Also great for hot humid weather, doesn't feel sticky as it absorbs quickly and skin continues to feel soft for quite a while! I slather a slightly thicker layer on at night as I sleep with air-conditioning, and when I wake up my skin feels plump and soft. Plus, its CHEAP!!! I think I got it for around 5USD or so. This is completely unsuitable for colder and dryer weather though. I brought it along for my trip to UK recently, almost dried up completely on my skin as soon as I stepped outside.
