Eyeliner -Smashbox - Jet Set Eyeliner with Brush
rated 5 of 5

This is by far my favorite gel liner. I'm really into tightlining these days and the gel liners work very well for me for this. But I seem to have trouble with consistency - they're either too soft (Essence) or too hard (several brands). For me Smashbox is just right - I rub my brush across the top and get just the right amount of product without having to smush it into the lid to get the clumps off or grind my brush into the product to get it on the brush. I got it in the navy color and it really makes my brown eyes pop. Even my DH mentioned it the other day! I don't have any trouble with the formula making my eyes water. I may pickup a couple more colors, and replace the problem formulas with this!!

Lip Treatments -By Terry - Or De Rose

Maybe I'm blind, but if there's an entry for this I don't see it - so here goes! This is like the thinner cousin of Baume de Rose, with some shimmer. This is my new daytime treatment. Instead of a pot, it comes in a tube with a doe foot applicator. Same scent and mechanics as the baume, but the shimmer makes it pop, either over color or alone. It's beautiful both ways. I keep this with me at all times!! Again, a fairly inexpensive luxury. Sure, $59 for balm is a lot, but I think it'll last a while, so there's that. The scent alone makes it worth it, but it really is a really great lip treatment. EDIT: Thanks to babydolljustina for catching my error! I paid $59 not $25 as previously stated (not enough caffeine that day. The review is fixed but I'm just trying to keep it honest!) Plus I get to say after using this for a month, I don't think I'd buy it again. I do love it, but it doesn't have a lot of staying power and doesn't soak in the way the baume does. It's still a very pretty effect alone and over color, but if you can only choose one, I recommend the baume.

Lip Treatments -By Terry - Baume de Rose

Once again, MUA has steered me in the right direction. This stuff is heavenly. I am a balm junkie, but the price made me a little wary. $59 for lip balm. Really? REALLY? But it may be the best $59 I've ever spent. I got the baume and the Or De Rose. The smell of both is to die for. I keep the baume by my bed for nighttime moisture and it doesn't disappoint. I think I've been using less balm during the day (maybe this isn't a good thing ... :) ). It does go on a little thick, especially when it's a bit cold, but it warms up and soaks right into the lip. If you have dry lip problems and/or if you just want to treat yourself, this would be an excellent buy!I EDIT: Thanks to babydolljustina for catching my error! I actually paid $59 for this not $25 (I fixed my review but thought I should 'fess up!) BUT it is still the best $59 I ever spent, and I'll totally buy this again.

Treatments -DermOrganic - Leave In Treatment with Argan Oil
rated 5 of 5
poncholefty 3/13/2013 10:19:00 PM

I love this stuff. I tried the MoroccanOil and it just did NOT work for me. I hated the scent, it was way to heavy for my hair and it just didn't work for me overall. But THIS - O. Em. Gee. It's really light and has a nice, light scent. It's really helped keep my fine hair (which falls to my shoulder blades) very soft and healthy. I really recommend this oil. It's not crazy expensive like some of the others too. And what I don't get into my hair I just rub into my hands and it makes a great cuticle oil too!

Conditioner -DermOrganic - Masque Intensive Hair
rated 5 of 5
poncholefty 3/13/2013 10:16:00 PM

Again - my HG, along with the shampoo. I think the cost on these isn't bad - I found the big pump bottles at Marshalls. I got the shampoo, conditioner and oil for $50. Even though it's a masque, it doesn't weigh down my fine hair. Leaves it smelling fresh and it's super soft. I've been mixing about a teaspoon of Invati in with my hair products, and ths is a perfect base.

Shampoo -DermOrganic - Sulfate-Free Conditioning Shampoo
rated 5 of 5
poncholefty 3/13/2013 10:14:00 PM

This with the conditioner is my new HG. Love the scent, love what it does to my hear. I love everything about it. I've been mixing it with Invati (about a teaspoon) and it gives me that Aveda scent and the Invati fullness but it's not crazy full. But even on its own, the shampoo is really amazing. It's gentle, but still seems to get my hair squeaky clean. Makes styling SO much easier!

Shampoo -Aveda - Invati Exfoliating Shampoo
rated 4 of 5

I guess I'm in the minority here - I love this stuff! I got a sample several months back, and just got around to using it (you know the drill, you finally get around to cleaning out under the bathroom sink and find all sorts of things!) I tried it "straight up" - both the 'poo and 'dish - and WOW. I almost didn't need styling product. My hair was so full (I have fine hair but lots of it). It was pretty soft and I love the scent. The next time I washed (I've become an every-other-day girl) I used two pumps of my DermOrganic (my HG) 'poo and about a teaspoon of Invati 'poo. Same with the conditioner. GREAT combination for me. I get the body and control of the Invati and the moisture and overall goodness from the DermOrganic. It is quite expensive (even for Aveda, and I've used a lot over the years!) but combing it with other products will make it last.

Lip Treatments -Tokyo Milk - La Vie En Rose No 42

Oh. My. God. Can I just slather this on my body? Or at least my face so I can smell it all day! I'm at work and I love this so much I had to write a quick review. I got this last night with a Sephora order. I'm a lip balm/stick junkie and will buy about anything that goes on the lips. I thought I was getting salted caramel (because I love caramel and would MARRY salted caramels if I could!) but somehow ended up with this - and I'm so glad. The scent is heavenly. It's a cross between rose and orange and candy. It's so sweet and calming. Putting this on before bed is SOOO soothing. The texture is a little weird - think and almost grainy, buy it really smooths out as it heats. I admit is also doesn't seem to coat my lips great, you have to really work it in, but it's hold the moisture in well (doesn't really add any, so be careful of that.) But the smell alone would make be buy this again and again!

Blush -Laura Mercier - Cheek Colour in Rose Petal
rated 5 of 5
poncholefty 11/4/2012 10:31:00 PM

Oh yes, I would buy this again. This may be my forever blush. I bought it because so many of you ladies said I should. :) I have been a fan of LM for a couple years now, after getting a free makeover. I had tried the cream blush, which was not my favorite - too splotchy. But this may be perfect. It goes on so smooth and sheer - it really looks like I've been out for a brisk walk. The color is so pretty and light and very buildable. I think this would flatter a lot of skin tones. It's pretty expensive and I don't care for the small size, although I will say LM compacts don't feel cheap - they're very surdy,

Blush -NARS - Deep Throat
rated 4 of 5
poncholefty 11/4/2012 10:25:00 PM

Now this is the NARS blush for me. The color is just the right bronzy flush and not too much sparkle. I won't say it's may favorite blush, but it does give my cheeks a pretty color.

Blush -NARS - Orgasm Blush
rated 2 of 5
poncholefty 11/4/2012 10:23:00 PM

I admit I'm only rating this on trying it in the store. I've tried it a couple times and tried - REALLY TRIED - to like it. But it makes me look like Bozo the Clown. The color is all wrong on me - too orange and too sparkly. I'm not sure why so many people say this color matches everyone - I don't think it does. I do have a NARS blush in Deep Throat, which looks better on me, IMHO. Make sure you try this in store a couple times before you commit.

Shampoo -Redken - Hair Cleansing Cream
rated 4 of 5
poncholefty 11/4/2012 10:17:00 PM

I like this pretty well. It's not my beloved, discontinued Aveda Detoxifier, but it gets the buildup out without stripping my hair. I really like the scent - it's slightly citrus, which I love - but it doesn't seem to stick around after rinsing, which is also good. I use it about once a week, whenever I feel like my fine hair is starting to get weighed down and it always comes out nice and soft and fluffy. I'm never seem to use the same conditioner after, so I'm giving the snaps to this shampoo. :) I'd highly recommend it and will continue to use until unless I find something better. Oh, and a little goes a long way, so a bottle tends to last me pretty long (a year or so) and my hair is now down between my shoulder blades. I think the trick is to keep it to the scalp, if you have longer hair.

Liquid -Make Up For Ever - Face & Body Foundation
rated 5 of 5
poncholefty 11/3/2012 10:34:00 PM

I don't wear foundation a lot, but when I do, I wear MUFE. :) This was another "wedding look" purchase. I'm blessed with pretty good skin, but I wanted a little something to even things out for the pictures. This is very sheer and super light. It's got kind of a weird texture - like jelly almost - but it goes on really nicely. If you're looking for full coverage, this won't work for you. I'm not sure if it can be layered, but I imagine it's light enough for multiple applications.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
rated 5 of 5
poncholefty 11/2/2012 9:50:00 PM

I have been wanting to try this for YEARS. So before my July wedding (:0) ) I picked up a sampler box of all three colors. The original is by far my favorite. Eye shadow never stuck around long for me until this. Now, I can even wear the Aveda colors I've always loved so much, but never lasted more than five minutes. It only takes a little - my tube is the smallest available and it only takes a smidgen. It evens out my eyelids (mine seem slightly yellow but maybe it's just me!) But the best part is the staying power. I don't wear eye shadow without it now and will DEFINITELY repurchase.
