PROS: none :( CONS: doesn't add much volume or length clumpy flakey
I also bought this on emilynoel83's recommendation, but was sadly disappointed. The real deal-breaker is the smudging- I want a mascara that will wear all day and not leave black under my eyes. PROS: very little clumping holds curl fairly well CONS: smudges like crazy! adds very little volume And although I haven't noticed any negative affects on my lashes from using this mascara, I haven't noticed anything positive either. I don't think it's made a difference in my lash growth.
This does a good job of removing all my face makeup. It even removes the Revlon Colorstay foundation, which can be tricky to get off. It does not perform so well with eye makeup, unfortuately. And it is NOT gentle on the eye area- it made my eyes burn pretty badly. If you have a separate eye makeup remover that you use and are just looking for something for your face, this is not a bad choice. If you are looking for a cleanser that is truly "one step," I would suggest something like MAC's Cleanse Off Oil.
This is one of my all-time favorite eyeshadow bases! It is the perfect skin tone for my fair skin, and evens out any discoloration on my eyelids. I apply this all over my eyelids with a brush, blend it out with my finger, then apply my powder shadows over top. Every time I've used this my eyeshadows have lasted all day, no creasing.
Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17

PROS: Does not break me out. Provides medium to full coverage. Blends easily Was easily able to find a matching shade. Does not oxidize on me. CONS: Has a slight odor. Does not wear all day. I'd say it lasts 4-5 hours max before it starts looking ugly. I'm not going to repurchase this one because I prefer Revlon Colorstay, which lasts all day.
Cleansers -Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser (Normal to Oily Skin)
pollinad 1/31/2013 9:17:00 PM
Note: I have dry, acne-prone skin I first started using Cetaphil products when I was a teenager. I was on Accutane, which can cause extreme dryness, and I purchased this Cetaphil cleanser because I needed something very gentle for my skin. This product was recommended, and it worked well for me. After I finished the Accutane treatment and my skin cleared up, I ventured out and tried different cleansers for a few years. Within the past year or so, my skin has become more sensitive. I've experienced some bad reactions to various skincare and beauty products, so I went back to using Cetaphil because it is gentle and fragrance-free. Using this cleanser has been a part of my daily skincare routine for the past year or so, and I'm happy with it. As some reviewers have mentioned, this will not remove makeup. You should use a makeup remover to remove your makeup, and THEN follow with the Cetaphil to cleanse your face. If you do not have sensitive skin you can do without this. If you are on a harsh acne treatment, or just have sensitive skin, then I would recommend this product.
Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Lineur Intense liquid liner - brush tip
pollinad 1/31/2013 1:49:00 PM
I have no problems with the formula of the liner itself. It is a very dark black, which is exactly what I like, and its staying power is pretty good. My problem is with the brush applicator. I find it much too difficult to work with. I have very long eyelashes, the the applicator will sometimes get caught in them, causing the brush to bend and my line to smudge. This makes it so easy for me to make mistakes! I find the brush tip applicator just too frustrating to work with. I much prefer using either a gel liner with a brush, or a liquid eyeliner with a pen applicator.
I like the Falsies Flared formula, and have repurchased that one a couple times. Because my drugstore was out of that formula, I picked up the Falsies Black Drama instead. I HATED this mascara. It clumped horribly on me, and left tiny black flakes of product on my cheeks. I ended up throwing this mascara away.
I love this product. HOWEVER, it is very true that it is not a highly pigmented blush. When I first applied this product I was surprised, because the color payoff is not nearly as great as I expected. This product comes out more like a delicate pinky-peach with golden shimmer rather than a true bright coral. Fortunately, I have extremely fair skin, so the lighter color this gives is perfect for me. This gives me a beautiful, natural looking color with a glowy golden sheen. It blends well, and I never have to worry about applying too much. The most impressive aspect of this product is that the color lasts all day!-this blush lasts as long as my high-end blushes. In conclusion, I think fair-skinned girls will really enjoy this blush. I do not recommend it for the very tan or dark-skinned, because it probably won't give you enough color. I also do not recommend this if you prefer matte blushes, because this has a definite sheen.
I bought this because one of my favorite beauty gurus on Youtube recommended this product as a way to make winged/cat-eye liner much easier. It does make drawing a wing easier, giving me better control than many felt-tip liners. However, I find the narrow pen tip makes it tough for me to get a thick, dark line on my actual eyelid. It takes a lot longer for me using this narrow pen tip to get a line with the thickness I want. Also, I don't know if I just got a bad one, but mine has a veeerrry strog odor. It's the strongest-smelling makeup product I own, and not in a good way. I won't be repurchasing.
I wish I loved this as much as everyone else seems to. :( The color I do get from this is great and looks very healthy and natural on my fair skin. HOWEVER, on me this is VERY streaky and blotchy. I have no idea why I have this problem when no one else seem to. I follow all the directions, I apply it at night, I exfoliate beforehand, blah, blah, blah... No matter what, I end up with noticeable streaks and blotches in random parts of my body. I'm starting to wonder if it's just something in my body chemistry that causes this. I won't be repurchasing this, and am going to experiment with other self tanners. Everyone's skin is different, so I think this product is worth trying. It's obviously popular for a reason. It just doesn't work on my skin.
Liquid -Cover Girl - Natureluxe Liquid Silk foundation in 310 Flax

I've used this several times so far and have been pleasantly surprised! This foundation is NOT for people with oily skin. If you have oily skin this will slide right off your face. This works for me because my skin is very dry. This foundation has a creamy, slightly oily consistency that combats my dryness and gives me a nice, dewy finish. I wouldn't wear it outside on the hottest days of summer for fear of it melting off, but for a typical day this works very well for me. I always, always set it with a mattifying powder. I have very acne-prone skin and have not experienced any breakouts from this product. One minor thing I don't like about this is the strong scent. At first the scent was very strong and reminded me a little bit of cucumbers. My face is very sensitive to fragrances, so I prefer fragrance-free products, which this definitely is not. However, I feel that the scent was strongest when I first opened the product but has faded with repeated uses. I would repurchase this foundation for use in winter when my skin gets especially dry.
I have this quad in the shade Decadent, which consists of 2 pinks, a gold, and a brown-purple crease color. Ehhhhh. First off, I HATE the highlight shade. It has fine glitter particles which fall onto my cheeks, no matter how good my eyeshadow base is If there's one thing I hate, it's getting glitter all over my face. Now that I've learned my lesson I don't touch the highlight shade anymore. The pink shade is ok. It has a great sheen and no glitter, which actually makes it a MUCH better highlight color than the shade that was actually supposed to be the highlight. The pigmentation is not true to what you see in the pan, unfortunately. The pink barely shows up; it goes on very frosty. So as I said, useful as a highlight color but not for much else. The golden-yellow is the best quality of the bunch. It has great texture and pigmentation, and is very blendable. The brown-purple color is very pigmented, but not very blendable. In the end this quad does create a pretty nice look, which is neutral enough for everyday wear. However, the inconsistencies in quality make it a product I will not repurchase.
I received a sample size of this bronzer, along with some other Tarte products, as part of my Sephora 500-point perk. Out of all the items I received, this is the only one I actually find worth using. It's a nice, medium dark bronzer with subtle shimmer. I do prefer matte bronzers, but I don't mind the shimmer too much. It's a little dark for my fair skin, but if I use a fluffy duo-fibre brush and a light hand when applying, it works well and gives me natural-looking color. The biggest con is the packaging, which I dislike. The biggest pro is how LONG-WEARING this is! I checked my makeup 8 hours after application on a hot summer day, and I didn't need to touch up my bronzer! Very impressed with how this wears. I'm still on the hunt for my HG matte bronzer, but this is a good product and I may purchase it in full size when I finish the sample.
I love the Kitten eyeshadow, which is what drew me to try the Smudge Pot. This is a cream eyeliner product, but my purpose in buying it was to use it as a cream eyeshadow/base. Unfortunately, it does not apply well on the lids at all. The consistency is very dry and full of chunks of glitter. On its own, it is impossible to blend. The glitter appears chunky and unflattering on the eyelids when you look up close. This works ok as a shimmery base for light, similarly-colored shadows. The color is beautiful and the products is long-lasting on my eyes, but the consistency of the product is too difficult to work with. It is horrible as a shadow; would likely be ok as a liner or highlight for inner corners of eyes. Because there are many similar products out there with better texture, I will NOT be repurchasing this. It is not worth its $20 price.
