I'm sad to see that this product didn't work for everyone. I loved it! After having black hair for almost 2 years, and slowly colouring my roots a red brown, i decided to strip my hair and do the mid lengths and ends. I have quite long thick hair and growing it out was taking forever! So i took the plunge after some persuasion from my boyfriend, and after an hour, my hair was left a red/bown/orange colour. For those who were upset with their orange hair, this product is NOT a hair dye! It is a pre-lightener, so it must be used in conjunction with an actual hair dye to be effective. It stripped my hair perfectly, and didn't really even damage it at all. I followed with a Garnier red brown, and now i finally have non-blocky colour on my hair! It's a lovely red brown, still very dark, but it's exactly how i pictured it in my head:) YAY! I took off one point for the thick hard to spread consistency, and although the bottle is huge, i probably would have needed a second box for my thick hair. Otherwise, this was worth the buy. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to go lighter from a very dark brown or black. It really does work!
Eye Shadow -Napoleon Perdis - Dramatic Eye Shadow Quad
pol4r19 9/16/2009 5:49:00 AM
This is a limited edition quad released in Aus last week, as part of the 'Divine Marchesa' collection. the colours are just stunning, but i was a bit dissapointed with the colour pay-off (the royal purple had to be built up quite alot to get the dramatic colour i expected). however, its still a lovely product, and makes for a beautiful dramatic and different smokey eye look :)
Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Ungvita Vitamin A Ointment
pol4r19 8/12/2009 2:54:00 PM
I bought this as a last resort after picking my face and leaving 6 large scabs/wounds behind. they were taking forever to heal and makeup made them look terrible! i picked this up as a way to heal them faster, and it totally worked. i used a tiny amount on each scab/wound 3 nights in a row. after the last night, all the scabs fell off leaving clear skin behind that had only a slight colour difference (not flaming red, as usual). i kept reapplying the cream at night for a few more nights and my skin was perfect and evenly toned. i would def try this if your a pinple picker like me, and constantly have scabs or wounds on your face. it will def speed up the healing process, and moisturise at the same time:) EDIT: ive noticed that if i use this on pimples that have not come to a head (you know the huge angry welt-like pimples thats take DAYS to appear??) overnight, a large white head appears that can be extracted without tearing your face to shreds! another benefir from an already awesome product :D
I live in Australia, and after reading some of the glowing comments about this product, decided to order over the net. ive been using Payot's Pate Gris as an overnight spot treatment for the last 5 years, which costs around $60 aus for a tiny pot. it had stopped working for me in the last year or so, so i knew i needed a change. i bought this mask for $26 aus! it only cost me $5US for the large jar, but my shipping was ridiculous:(u lucky americans! :)) however, it was def worth the price! used it straight away and half the blackheads on my nose came right off. im waiting to use it tonight as a spot treatment, and cant wait :D
Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Lucas' Papaw Ointment
pol4r19 6/23/2009 2:29:00 PM
This is a papaw ointment used for the lips and skin for; burns, boils, chafing, cuts, dry skin, gravel rash, splinters, open wounds, insect bites nd nappy rash. its a jack of all trades and it is AWESOME. it comes in a large or medium sized tub, or a small tube (like a lipgloss). i use it primarily on my lips every night. it keeps them moisturized and very very soft as a result. if you have problem dry/cracked lips, this wuld be the perfect product for you. it is just an amazing product, and extremely popular here in Aus. love it!
ive been using this on and off for a while but im not sure if it has really made a big difference. it hasnt made my skin worse, its smells nice, cleans my face well and leaves my skin pleasantly tingly. i dont really think it has done much, but it isnt a bad product overall (contains witch hazel and salicylic acid thats supposed to be good).
LOVE THIS GLOSS! lovely nude peach colour for less than half the price of expensive brands ($3.00 vs $30.00!) when i compare this to my MAC florabundance gloss, this wins hands down. which is pretty sad for MAC really...
i quite like this perfume. it has a nice floral/vanilla/citrus scent (hence the name hehe) but a nice 'young' smell, not like your grannies old rose perfume or something like that. its def something you could wear every day as its not overpowering, but this may be different in the EDP version.
Loose Powders -Revlon - Bare It All Lustrous Powder
pol4r19 6/23/2009 2:02:00 PM
this is an ok product if you like alot of glitter on your face. otherwise it works better as a body highlighter/bronzer depending on the colour you choose.
Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara Blackest Black
pol4r19 6/23/2009 1:54:00 PM
apparently one if these is sold every 7 seconds in the world...i dont get the hype at all. it has a nice colour, but its a very liquid mascara, so after applying you cant blink for a while otherwise it smudges. and you have to be very careful when applying, as it tends to splatter. overall, not a very good product.
Cleansers -Neutrogena - Wave™ (Power-Cleanser And Deep Clean Foaming Pads)
pol4r19 6/23/2009 1:48:00 PM
i was lucky i got this for free...because i would never actually pay money for it. total rip off! the vibration is so minimal, there is no way it could help your skin...and it sure didnt help mine. another gimmick that promises much and does little.
Shampoo -John Frieda - Brilliant Brunette Shine Release Moisturizing Shampoo
pol4r19 6/23/2009 1:38:00 PM
ive tried to many different shampoos, but will stick with this one for now. it smells so good, and i love they clear squeezy bottle! you can see when you're running out, plus you can squeeze every last drop out. it has def improved the colour of my hair :)
Conditioner -John Frieda - Brilliant Brunette Light Reflecting Conditioner
pol4r19 6/23/2009 1:35:00 PM
i quite like this conditioner. it smells nice, detangles and leaves my hair nice and soft. no complaints from me yet.
Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - Diamond Strength Diamond Shine Top and Base Coat
pol4r19 6/23/2009 1:30:00 PM
do not buy this. 1.thin brush 2.thick gluggy polish 3.makes polish streak if use as base coat 4.base coat takes forever to dry 5.also takes forever to dry as top coat 6.need tons to make top coat nice and shiny 7.does not do what it promises: nails chip within days if not hours ive used $2.00 polishes that are better than this.
i have used this with honey and by itself, and its just sooo amazing! just have to wear ton of moisturizer afterwards but meh..dry skin is worth the overall result :)
