Fragrances -Guerlain - Samsara

EdT: It opens with a heady jasmine, almost too much to the nose, but wait! It slowly gets softer, the vanilla steps in. If you love woody fragrances this is for you. Personally I love it. The drydown is pure aromatherapy, honestly. If you are into very floral fragrances or aquatics you may not find this very pleasing. Someone compared it to Sensuous by Estée Lauder but I canīt find any similarities at all. It is unique. Very well done and a classic.

Mascara -Max Factor - 2000 calorie curved brush

This has been given a new look, and even different but worse content it seems. I always bought the original and thought it was absolutely perfect. Curved and smooth black lashes. Unfortunately, I bought two pieces in the belief that it was as good as the previous one. Oh no, it gives a lot of clumps on lashes, is very sticky. One must be prepared with a Topz. Going to buy Masterpiece Max now instead. I give it 2 lippies because the price is OK.

This is just so gorgeous! Dry and clean citrus in perfect balance with woody notes. A high qualitative fragrance for all men out there who wants to make a statement. I got a sample of it today and just canīt stop smelling my wrist right now. Not unisex what so ever. It is masculinity in a bottle. Highly recommended.

I have searched for this a long time and sent an email to Nivea Customer Service. This is sadly no longer in production. It was perfect: -Natural color -Healthy looking skin -No powdery feeling -Blended smoothly into skin -Moisturizing Well, I have to search for a similar creme but I doubt I will find it. Maybe something from the Clinic range.

Fragrances -Guerlain - Shalimar Parfum Initial
rated 5 of 5

This is how I wished the Original to smell. I guess thatīs my bodychemistry. It was Johnsonsīs babypowder troughout the fragrance to my sadness. Initital is a whole different story. It develops so nicely on my skin. Many people think that itīs similar to Dior Homme Intense which I have never smelled. All I know is that I love this gorgeous creation. Especially the drydown is to die for. Still sweet from the flowers but spritzed with patchouli and caramel. I am not good at describing fragrances but I have to say that I higly recommend this to lovers of oriental fragrances. It is so incredibly beautiful.

Fragrances -Agent Provocateur - Agent Provocateur EDP
rated 5 of 5
plutteluran 6/28/2012 1:44:00 PM

I have heard many people say they canīt stand it. They call it masculine and old-ladysmelling. To my nose this is a breathtaking beauty. The musk in combination with rose and a hint of tobacco is stunning. The drydown is to die for. Love it!

Fragrances -Christian Dior - Dior Addict EDP
rated 5 of 5
plutteluran 5/14/2012 12:52:00 PM

This is so sophisticated, a grown-up vanilla fragrance. It is smoky and dark, not the gourmand type of vanilla at all. I just love, love. it so much. One of my all time favorites. Some people say it has been reformulated, but I donīt know if that is a fact. I still have "the old formulation". I higly recommend that you try this if you are into dark and mysterious oriental fragrances.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - J Del Pozo-In Black
rated 2 of 5

In Black was not as I expected, far from it. A half full glass of cherry wine left forgotten on the table, an ashtray overflowing with cigarette butts in an unaired room. A great disappointment. Yuck.

Fragrances -Gucci - Guilty Intense
rated 5 of 5

Guilty has never attracted my interest for some strange reason. I have always looked past it at the store, but when I had tested Guilty Intense I was hooked. This is truly a winner and I am a proud owner of a full bottle. A good thing is that it stays close to the skin and therefore itīs also very suitable for work. I truly recommend this love fragrance.

Fragrances -Jean Paul Gaultier - Fleur de Male
rated 2 of 5
plutteluran 12/13/2010 5:15:00 PM

I could not find any similarities with le Male but maybe it was wrong to search for them. This is a scent that could have smelled exciting and masculine, but a one single flower ruined it. Fleur du Male smells like a chamomile flower that has been way too long in the vase and do not smell so fresh. It makes me think of Vivienne Westwoods Boudoir. Not in a positive way of course.

Topnotes:Lemon Jasmine Neroli Middlenotes:Violet Helioptrope Musk Basenotes: Vetiver Cedar Amber Vanilla I bought it without testing first and thatīs something I donīt recommend for this perfume. Itīs strange that no warning light started blinking when I read that it was a Woody-AQUATIC fragrance, though Iīm actually a big fan of oriental-woody fragrances. According to reviews (not here at MUA) the Violet would be a bit of background. I think itīs just the opposite-it is quite dominant in the first two hours. The woody note is rather timid (in the background) in my opinion. The amber and vanilla are hardly noticeable Although there is no celery in this perfume I swear that I feel it. Celery is not exactly my favorite vegetable. Maybe I would like this airy fragrance if it wasnīt for the stubborn, apparently imaginary, celery aroma. Not for me but I donīt doubt that it has its fans out there.

Fragrances -Rochas - Tocade
rated 5 of 5
plutteluran 9/20/2010 12:45:00 PM

I love this perfume, but it was not love at first sniff, oh no, far from it. It took a week before I could get used to the very green opening. It completely hit me in the face because I had a very different idea of how it would smell. After the first week it just became better and better. Gorgeous oriental fragrance. Sensual. Sophisticated. Not for teens! It is not always a good idea to completely rely on the reviews. My advice is that you try before you buy a whole bottle. Give it some time, let it grow on you. Itīs really worth it!

Fragrances -Lanvin - Arpege
rated 1 of 5
plutteluran 6/15/2010 12:20:00 PM

Sometimes a fragrance doesnīt go well with the bodychemistry. This is a perfect example. I have learnt that aldehydes is a note that I shall stay away from. My nostrils couldnīt cope with this fragrance. I had to give it away. It is one of the most repulsive smell I have ever experienced. Soapy and oldfashioned in a very bad way. Yuck!

This is really a gorgeous scent. I purchased it for my husband today online and Iīm convinced he will love it as much as I do. It would have been interesting to read what MEN think of this fragrance on this site. There are mostly womenīs reviews! (lol)
