Bronzers -L'Oreal - Bronzer Body Tinted Gel (One day)

LOVE this stuff! I used to have something similar from Mark but it went south and I had missed it terribly. I've done a lot of self-tanning but no matter what I do or what I use there's always some kind of drawback related to application - specifically, if it sets awkwardly, you're screwed. With this stuff, you get your color, but what you see when you put it on is actually what you get. It doesn't matter to me that it doesn't have any actual tanning action, because I was surprised to find that, unless you really scrub it off, this stuff can stay on for a very long time. The one major drawback is what it does to your hands (or did to mine, at least): this stuff stained my palms worse than anything I've ever used. I wound up having to use my Salux (multiple times) after scrubbing with sugar didn't help. I don't like how they affect application, but I think next time I may have to wear gloves. ETA: I see other reviewers have commented on the color of this, and while I don't disagree, on me I know this isn't far from the color I turn naturally (I tend to burn, then tan, and this stuff made me look somewhere in the middle). Something that were more of a true brown tint just wouldn't look right on me.
This stuff is amazing! I've been using it once a week for four weeks now, and it's made my skin smoother and more even-looking, and I'm not breaking out as much! Be sure to shake it very well before using it, because it will come out watery otherwise.
Such a disappointment! I went looking for Painterly (after hearing so many wonderful things about it) and the MAC person recommended this instead (glad they did; Painterly would have been too dark for me). I've been using it off and on for a few months now and I just can't seem to make it do anything special. It doesn't make my e/s adhere any better or keep it from fading. It does, at least, help to correct some of the natural purplish tones in my skin, so I prefer to wear it alone as a sort of corrector rather than as a shadow base. Back to UDPP, I think.
I LOVE this! I normally don't go for reds, but for some reason this one called to me and I was stunned by how well it went with my skin. I would call it a soft red, neither too orange nor too blue. Perfect for everyday wear. Great consistency, a bit of a jelly-like shine.
Wow, another 'I wish I'd read the reviews' product! I would never have paid $24 for this, but on sale for $12 I thought it was a good deal. Boy was I wrong. The formula on these is atrocious, the kind where you have to practically scrape at it to get up any product at all. Once swatched, only one or two of the shades even appeal to me. The 2 glitter colors, on the outside, are the worst - the glitter doesn't even come up when you try to swatch! I've had dollar store eyeshadows that were higher quality. Even if the price for this were to go down another 50% it still wouldn't be worth it!
Eye Shadow -Jordana - Loose Eyeshadow - Antique Heather

This is so gorgeous! I don't think the photo here presents it accurately (and forget the one on Cherry Culture!) - it's has a lot of fine gold glitter. However, it still reads as fairly neutral, with the gold balance by the soft, silvery purple color of the shadow. The mix of shadow and fine glitter reminds me of LA Splash glitter e/s. As with all things glitter, it doesn't stay well without some kind of base, but it still seems to have less fallout than some other things I've tried. I found this at a dollar store, and now I'm kicking myself for not getting more!
Lotions/ Creams -Gold Bond - Ultimate Healing Skin Therapy Lotion

This stuff is amazing! This summer I got a terrible sunburn on my legs; after the pain finally went away (after several days of using lidocaine gel) I went looking for something with aloe to help heal my skin, which I feared was permanently damaged. After about a week of using this I couldn't believe how much my skin had improved! I saw the inflammation and a lot of the redness subside very quickly, and my skin was left wonderfully soft. Highly recommended if you need some serious help! One lippie off because it takes a long time to absorb and can be a little messy because it's so thick.
Misc Beauty Tools -E.L.F. - Mechanical Eyelash Curler

This is an awesome tool! At $1, it's an amazing value - for the quality I think you could reasonably pay $7 or 8 at least. It's well-designed, and I like that it has a rubbery, non-stick pad (it even comes with a spare!) - I prefer to curl my lashes after mascara, and the pads traditionally found on curlers make that almost impossible. One lippie off because the curl isn't 'OMG amazing', but since this is an area that's not a huge priority for me, I'm more than happy with this!
Yes, $1 is a great price. This shadow, however, isn't even worth 25 cents. There's pretty much zero color payoff whatsoever, it's dry and chalky, and if you manage to get some on over a primer it will still be gone in no time. Avoid at all costs!
I really wanted to love this! I'm an equal-opportunity e/s user - I'll try anything, and I won't presume to dislike something just because it's inexpensive. This was one of the first 3 e.l.f. products I ever bought (all were Custom Eyes, after seeing the great reviews on here), and I was very disappointed. First, it was a bit of a struggle to get enough of the product onto a brush or sponge applicator (it was fine when using my finger, though). Once I applied it (over UDPP), I could barely see it unless I was in natural light. The color was nice, but I just couldn't see it well enough to enjoy it. I tried again (once again over UDPP) with a slightly damp brush, and this time was able to build up the color a bit more, but it faded much faster than I would have liked. Sad to say I threw this away, and won't be buying any more of these, though I still love e.l.f.!
Reminds me of Great Lash. In other words: FAIL!
At last, my perfect nude! I can't believe how flattering this color is on me (90% of lippies aren't)! I'm not crazy about the smell, and I have to avoid licking my lips cos the taste makes me gag, but it's such a great color and so cheap I don't mind!
This is one of my favorite lipsticks! I'm NW15-20 and I hate the way a good 90% of all lippies look on me - I definitely prefer things with a good amount of gray in them, and this has just the right amount to tone this nude/brown shade down and keep it from being too warm. The staying power isn't great, but it doesn't dry out my lips either.
My very first NYX shadow, and I love it! In the pan it's incredible - I've never seen such depth to a DS eyeshadow! It has amazing shimmer/microglitter that makes it look somewhere between a very deep olive and a soft black infused with gold. Wears well, and looks especially fab applied wet as a liner.

I first got this for my 16th birthday, and a decade later I'm still wearing it. I think I've gotten so many compliments on it over the years because it's so unique; I've yet to come across anything comparable.
