Moisturizers -Weleda - Skin Food

Yes, it is sticky. Yes, it smells bad. Yes, it is way too heavy (but it is not a problem because my super dry dehydrated skin needs a heavy cream). But the real problem is it irritated my skin so badly (or gave me allergies, I don't know). I will definitely stay away from it.

Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils

A nice mascara which gives lashes a real volume. In that respect it is much better than Dior or Lancome mascaras.

Concealers -Giorgio Armani - high precision retouch
pisces7 10/28/2010 4:14:00 AM
An excellent concealer. Does a much better job than Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat or even Guerlain Issima Precious Light (my second favorite). Even the tiniest amount will cover all your dark circles.

Crème -Giorgio Armani - SPF20 Shaping Designer Foundation
pisces7 10/28/2010 4:05:00 AM
I was looking for a moisturizing foundation because of the flakes on my face (Retin-a). This one does a good job, especially if you use it with Armani's foundation brush. But both are extremely expensive. Also, I find the color range limited because there is no pinkish light tones. I ended up buying a yellowish light one.

Lip Treatments -Clarins - Extra Firming Age-Control Lip and Contour
pisces7 10/28/2010 3:55:00 AM
I am a chronic sufferer of dry and chapped lips. Therefore, I have tried almost all kinds of treatments and balms. I bought the Clarins one with the hope that it would help with lines on my lips. I have been using it for 3-4 months but I do not see any improvement with the lines or wrinkles. Yet it moisturizes well. It is quite a heavy cream so I can only use it at night before I go to bed. When I wake up, I have well-moisturized but still oily lips. I don't think I can wear it under a lipstick during the day. And also it has a weird smell and taste. Overall, even though I don't expect much from it as a wrinkle or lifting treatment, I will buy again as it is a good moisturizer for my chapped lips.

Lip Treatments -Skinceuticals - SkinCeauticals - Antioxidant Lip Repair
pisces7 10/28/2010 3:38:00 AM
This is an excellent product and has made me trust Skinceuticals. I am a chronic sufferer of dry and chapped lips. Yes, it moisturizes the lips. But the ones with really dry lips may need a balm on top of it. The real reason I like it so much is that it definitely plums the lips. In a couple of days, I was so surprised to realize that my lips are much more fuller. Will buy again.

Liquid -Bobbi Brown - Moisture Rich foundation
pisces7 10/25/2007 7:36:00 PM
I have been in search of a HG foundation for long. I have tried Dior, Mac, Chanel, T. LeClerc, Laura Mercier, LRP Toleraine. So, I can compare BB with them and it is by far superior to all of these lines' best liquid foundations. My first concern was that foundations accentuate my wrinkles, so I end up looking even older when I wear foundation. The primers are all useless in my case (I couldn't find a single one to help w/wrinkles issue). BB foundation is the one that least emphasizes wrinkles. It is not cakey. It doesn't dry out or flake. It gives a luminous look (not matte). Medium coverage not looks like a mask. Even though I generally prefer pink-based lines over yellow-based ones, the color porcelain is a good match for my skin tone. Overall, I am quite happy with it. My skin is dry w/oily T zone.

Cleansers -Clinique - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm
pisces7 10/12/2007 2:01:00 AM
Excellent cleanser. It removes all makeup (including waterproof ones, my stubborn MAC pigments) and sunscreen. It is not greasy. It does not irritate my extremely sensitive eyes. Even though my skin tends to dry, it doesn't dry it. What else to expect from a cleanser? Price may be a bit expensive though because it seems the jar will not last so long with everyday usage.

Liquid -Christian Dior - Diorskin Sculpt
pisces7 9/30/2007 3:03:00 PM
Not worth the money at all. It accentuates my wrinkles and pores. All my imperfections are even more noticeable. Also could not match my skin tone. Mine is quite pale, whitish. But the line is based on yellow tones.

Shampoo -Neutrogena - T/Gel anti-dandruff for normal to dry hair
pisces7 6/22/2006 10:23:00 PM
My dermatologist recommended T-Gel as I have seborrhoeic dermatitis induced dandruff. Yes, it helps with dandruff but only to a certain extent. If you suffer from sebo and severe dandruff, then your ONLY cure is Head and Shoulders Intensive Treatment (1% selenium sulfide)(the dark blue bottle). I wish MUA had a product review section for Head and Shoulders.

Waste of money. It didn't help with either lines or puffiness or dark circles.

Toners -Christian Dior - Softening Lotion
pisces7 6/22/2006 10:08:00 PM
This is a very good toner. It is alcohol free, very suitable for sensitive skin. It works equally well on both dry parts and oily T-zone of my face. Overall, better than Softening Cleanser. BUT expensive.

Cleansers -Christian Dior - Softening Cleansing Milk
pisces7 6/22/2006 10:03:00 PM
I used 2-3 bottles of both Softening Cleansing Milk and Softening Toner. It is a good cleanser especially if you consider that it also removes eye make up. So, you don't have to buy an eye mu remover. But after cleansing when I put toner on my skin, there is always dirt/make up residue on cotton. This, unfortunately, shows that the cleanser does not do its job well. So, currently I am in search of another (cheaper!) mild cleanser.
