Concealers -Hard Candy - Glamoflauge Concealer

I bought this concealer right after it came out after an exhausting search for something that covered well and was affordable. This product works amazingly well for me and for the price I think it is a great value. I've had this since it came out, like I said, probably over half a year and I expected to go through it pretty quickly since I have a lot to cover and wear makeup almost daily. This is still holding up however and seems like it will never run out. Perfromance: This concealer offers full, but not quite complete coverage. Paired with foundation, my complexion looks almost flawless. I find this creamy and very easy to blend and do not have a problem with it getting caky. This concealer is not the best for under eyes, but for acne scarring, which is my main concern, this covers beautifully. This concealer is not the longest lasting, which would be its only caveat, but a good setting powder really does help this problem. Overall, I would say this is probably the one definite HG makeup product I've found so far!!!

I've had this foundation for a few weeks, and so far I love it. It provides great coverage (medium to high) and doesn't look weird or cakey. Some people have complained about a heavy feeling, but that doesn't bug me. A little goes a long way, and it makes my skin look and feel really nice. I agree with everyone else, in that it is tricky to find a match, but if you can, give it a try.

When I bought this foundation, I was really expecting it to be full coverage because of all the reviews. I like the product itself alright, and didn't have a problem with it becoming cakey or anything but I definitely don't think it covers all that well. I don't know if my skin is the problem, but I find this foundation to be quite runny and I'm hard pressed to get close to medium coverage even with multiple layers. All in all, if you need a lot of coverage, I personally would not recommend this.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Fusion

I was debating whether or not to get this after reading mixed reviews, but I couldn't resist picking a tube up when I saw it in the drug store (I am such a sucker for packaging and this one is so cute!). On my lashes, I think this achieves a really good balance of volume and length. I like that it makes my lashes stand out without looking really fake or feeling crispy. This is not the best for holding a curl, but I think it gives a nice full elongated effect. This is a good day to day mascara, and I really like that it doesn’t weigh down my lashes. The brush takes some getting used to as well, but I will definitely continue to use this.

This mascara unfortunately just did not work for me. I liked the brush and it did seem to add some length, but try as I might every time I applied this it made my lashes look super spidery.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous mascara

I find the quality of this mascara to be inconsistent. Not between tubes, but with the same one. Sometimes when I apply this, it makes my lashes look alright and other times they end up in a big globby mess. I think the brush picks up too much mascara at times, and I find the consistency to be odd as well. I read all the positive and negative reviews on here and hoped that I would see something of note when I used this, but really did not like how it made me look like I had less lashes. True to the other reviews as well, this mascara smudges very easily, I think I got as much of it on my eyelids as on my lashes. Oh well. My search continues...

Fragrances -Aquolina - Pink Sugar

I like this scent, but I don't love it. As some of the other reviewers have mentioned, it's great for occasionally changing up your scent, especially if you're in a playful mood. I wouldn't wear this everyday, and I only have the sample size from sephora, but it is nice to put on when I get bored with my other scent. This perfume is very sweet, and it smells a little cotton candy-esque when in the bottle but I find that when applied on my skind, the fragrance smells sweet and a little more complex instead of plain sugary. I think this perfume can be summed up in the words of my boyfriend who told me that I smelled good enough to eat while wearing this.

Concealers -Maybelline - Cover Stick

This is a good produst overall, not perfect, but I like it. For a drugstore concealer this provides really amazing coverage, and although the shade selection isn't the best, I find that I can blend it really easily. At times it can be cakey or drying, but I haven't had too many problems with that. This isn't my HG concealer, but definitely something I will use until I find it. In fact, it is the only drugstore face product I have repurchased, and for the price I really can't complain too much.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Beauty Marked

I absolutely love this eyeshadow. In fact, it is currently my favorite. The color is truly gorgeous and the descriptions and pictures do not do it justice. This shade works really well for a smoky eye or even on top of black liner to kick the look up a notch. The actual shade is hard to describe, but it is somewhere between black and purple with magenta glitter. The glitter is not overpowering or messy which is great and it looks especially great in the crease / outer corner. Would defintely buy this again!!

Eye Shadow -Kat Von D - True Romance Palette in Poetica

I really like all the colors in this palette. There are a lot of different looks you can get from this and the eyeshadows themselves are longlasting and blendable. The shades all go really well together and you can get a pretty neutral brown eye to something much more fun and dramatic. My only complaint is that I was hoping for the bright purple shade to be much more vibrant and it does apply a lot more sheer than how it looks in the palette and I was disappointed as I am still looking for for perfect really bright purple eyeshadow. Overall, though, I am very pleased and I especially love the darker purple color- cholita- I would say that it reminds me of macs beauty marked and is a really gorgeous rich reddish plum.
