Cleansers -LUSH - Dark Angels

This is my HG morning cleanser! I used to use Coalface (which has some of the same ingredients as Dark Angels), which worked wonders for my acne prone skin, but this works even better! I was sad when Lush temporarily stopped making this awhile back, but after it was reformulated, I still find it to be as good as it was before. If you have acne prone, combination to oily skin, go down to your local Lush and ask for a sample of this, it's great!

Concealers -Everyday Minerals - Mint Concealer

I got a sample of this with the free sample kit from Everyday Minerals. As a concealer, it did it's job, it concealed. The problem was that it made my skin look very ashy (gray). I'm thinking of trying Sunlight color corrector next because I hear good things about it.

Powder -Everyday Minerals - foundation semi-matte formula

After trying several other mineral makeup foundations, most of which made me break out, I decided that I should fork over the cash for Bare Escentuals. While looking at reviews on MakeupAlley for their MMU, I found out about Everyday Minerals and I decided to try it because a sample kit is free (plus shipping) and the full sized foundations were half of the price of BE's. I have definitely found the foundation that is right for me. I have sensitive skin, so a lot of things can irritate my skin and make me break out. EM's foundation does not break me out and it provides even coverage over my skin. I chose the semi-matte formula over the other ones because I have combination skin that's on the oily side. All in all, this is a great product that everyone who's looking for MMU should try because samples are basically free!

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - The Olive Branch

This is the best shower gel (although I wouldn't call it a gel, it's more like a liquid) I've ever used. I was at LUSH one day looking for a present and I decided to smell the shower gels that they had. Olive Branch was the first one I picked up and it smelled terrific! Seeing as how many of LUSH's bar soaps smell extremely good but are drying on my skin, I bought the smallest bottle available. Much to my surprise, it is extremely moisturizing, mostly due to the olive oil in the liquid. I wish it were a little less watery and that it was a little less expensive, but I will definitely continue to buy this product. I hope they don't discontinue it, as that will be a huge mistake!

Loose Powders -Everyday Minerals - Start to Finish Rice Powder - Sunlight

I really wanted to like this powder seeing as I really like EM's foundation, but after using it only a couple of times, I found that the powder made me break out. This only happened after I started using the powder under my foundation, and not over it has a finishing powder like it's intended to be used. When I used the powder over the foundation, I didn't really see much of a difference. When I used it under the foundation, I found it made it stay on longer, but like I said before, it caused me to break out. I have combination skin that's on the oily side and sensitive, so it may work better for someone with the same type of skin who's not sensitive.

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Discovery Mascara

I decided to buy this product after it was recommended to me by some friends. I found the brush to be very odd. It didn't look like there was a lot of mascara on it, but there was. After realizing that, I decided to wipe the excess mascara off of the brush and then applying it on. The mascara made my lashes clump together! The clumping wasn't a problem when I applied the mascara with a lighter hand, but the mascara smudged and made it look like I had dark circles. I will not repurchase this. I'm still looking for my ideal waterproof/non-smudging volumizing mascara.

Cleansers -LUSH - Aqua Marina Cleansing Roll

I use this cleanser with Coal face because I have combination skin that tends to get more oily as the day progresses. My skin is also acne prone and sensitive. For the first week and a half, I thought that I was breaking out because I was allergic to Aquamarina. My sister told me to use it for awhile before I decide to stop using it. I'm glad I listened to her advice. Aquamarina has cleared my skin up. Except for an occasional blemish, my skin is clear. I would recommend this to anyone who has acne-prone, sensitive, combination skin. I use this at night and Coal face in the morning. This cleanser puts moisture into the skin at night, when it needs it, and Coal face makes my skin less oily during the day. The only con for this product is the seaweed. I don't like how there is so much of it. It tends to stick to my face towel and it gets in my hair. I can live with it, though because it's overall a great product!

Lip Gloss -Victoria's Secret - Sweet Talk Mouth Watering Lip Gloss

I was expecting the best from this product, but after I went home and tried it, I found that it was really sticky! It gave a great shine, color, and even a nice flavor to my lips but it was way too sticky. Will not buy again.
