Skincare - Face -Philosophy - Hope in a Jar Eye & Lip Cream
pinky0710 10/10/2004 4:49:00 PM
This is one of my favorite eye cream! Very moisturizing and perfect if you have super dry skin. It takes a while to absorb to your skin, but once it does, it makes your skin soft and smooth. I also love the new packaging, ( in a tube) , which makes the application more sanitary. I've been using this for 2 years, along with Purity cleanser. Love philosophy!

Skincare - Face -Philosophy - Hope and a Prayer

I really want to like this product, I like the idea that you mix this fresh everytime you use this, but it burned my skin. I reduced the portion to half a scoop, but I still experience the burning.

Lotions/ Creams -Paula's Choice - Beautiful Body Butter
pinky0710 7/7/2004 10:36:00 AM
I love this body butter! It's very moisturizing and blends nicely on my skin. This will be my staple for winter time, and replacing my Loccitane shea butter hand cream, which is OK for me. I know that this is fragrance free, but to me it smells kind of chocolaty, which is a bonus for me.

Sunscreen -Paula's Choice - Extra Care Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF30+ (new formula)
pinky0710 7/7/2004 10:32:00 AM
I'm very dissapointed w/ this. I tried the old formula and didn't like it, so I was excited when I heard that Paula reformulated this sunscreen. Well..she let me down again. This sunscreen is greasy, doesn't absorb well, and it balls up on my face. What's up w/ that? Now I do exfoliate frequently, so I'm sure that the fact that this suncreen balls up on my face and doesn't glide smooth is not a result of my dead skin. I'm using a lot of Paula's products, but I never had any luck w/ her sunscreen. I wish she can make the formulation similar to Olay Complete sensitive skin which is my HG sunscreen

Primer/ Corrector -Philosophy - The Present Clear Makeup
pinky0710 7/7/2004 10:25:00 AM
This staff doesn't do anything for my skin. A clear make up? Please.... it doesn't cover anything. Don't get me wrong...I do like sheer make up, but the idea that Philsophy sell this as a clear make up is beyond me. This doesn't cover anything, doesn't even out my skin tone either. I just wasted $ 25 down to the drain. It's too bad, because I like Philosophy products in general.

Moisturizers -Kiehls - Ultra Facial Moisturizer
pinky0710 7/7/2004 10:22:00 AM
This is a very nice moisturizer for normal to dry skin, but it's very basic. There's no anti aging whatsoever, but I still think this is nice if you're looking for a basic, simple moisturizer. The texture is light and fragrance free.

I have normal to dry skin, and surprisingly this foundation works really well! A Smooth finish, nice color, blends well, doesn't streak. This one is very similar to Clinique Superfit, which is my HG for years.

Liquid -Paula's Choice - Best Face Forward Foundation SPF 25
pinky0710 5/8/2004 3:24:00 PM
I know that Paula invested a long time to make this foundation, and I thought it's gonna be a really nice, matte, smooth finish, but this one is a DISASTER. 1. It streaks, doesn't blend well, and separates. 2. If you have big pores, this one is gonna accentuate them.

Toners -Paula's Choice - Final Touch Toner for Normal to Dry Skin
pinky0710 5/8/2004 3:13:00 PM
I usually like PC skin care in general, and as my skin gets drier in the winter time, I thought I might give this a try. A real dissapointment, as it burns my skin. I even tried it for several days to make sure, and it does really burns my skin. I guess I'll stick to normal to oily skin version.

Tinted Moisturizer -Clinique - City Block Sheer Tint
pinky0710 4/29/2004 2:18:00 AM
I love this tint version better than the regular. It has a nice, light, matte finish. It doesn't feel greasy, and perfect as a tinted moisturizer if you have normal to oily skin. The only drawback is even the light/ medium will be too dark for light skin. Dry skin might want to put a moisturizer before applying this.

Liquid -Paula's Choice - All Bases Covered Foundation SPF 25
pinky0710 4/26/2004 2:33:00 AM
I love the color, but unfortunately the texture is too thick, and difficult to blend. It also streaks on my face. Too bad, because I like most of her products.

This is my HG powder. I'm glad I tried this. Not only the price is reasonable, but the texture and finish are very smooth, not dry looking. I have normal to dry skin, but this powder just gives me a natural finish, and the color selections are beautiful.

Cleansers -Paula's Choice - Skin Recovery Cleanser
pinky0710 4/25/2004 2:46:00 PM
I love this cleanser! My skin gets drier as I get into my 30's, and it's even worse during my pregnancy. This one is a must if you have dry, sensitive skin. Very soothing, gentle, and it still does a great job removing make up . A true HG for winter!
