I purchased this in True Union Jack because I thought it was cute. However, it isn't very pigmented and it's a bit hard to get my brush to pick up the colors without mixing them all because the corner colors are absolutely tiny!
Lip Gloss -Sephora - Hello Kitty Sweet Gloss Charmmy

I got this gloss in Apple because it's my favorite lip color from the Hello Kitty line at Sephora. I had really high expectations because I absolutely loved the Apple Balm (so moisturizing!!), but this was actually very disappointing. The package is cute and everything, and it is pretty pigmented, but it is so drying on my lips! Even if I prep my lips with a super moisturizing balm before applying it, it totally saps all of the moisture from my lips as soon as I put it on. I won't buy it again for this reason, but I still like the color and how pigmented it is.
This is my favorite lip color of all time. I think it is flattering for people of all skin types and it is SOOO moisturizing. It has a gel consistency so it lasts quite a while on my lips and I can apply more or less depending on whether I want the color to be more pigmented or sheer. My only gripe is that I HATE the packaging. Yes, it's cute, but I can't even tell you how many times I've accidentally flipped the lid upside down into the pot (it's a disgusting mess to clean off the lid). With other lip balms, I don't mind dipping my finger into a pot, but since this is a rich, pigmented gel it leaves your finger sticky and I can't just rub my hands to get rid of it. Plus, when I wipe my finger on a kleenex, the tissue catches on my finger since it's so sticky and leaves bits of tissue if I don't wipe thoroughly. Freaking gross. Overall, it's a wonderful product and I actually have already purchased multiples because I love it so much, but I seriously wish it wasn't packaged in this awkward plastic pot.
Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Strawberry Lip Balm

This is one of my all time favorite lip balms. It smells wonderful and it is so soooo moisturizing. I think it is excellent for the colder months! I apply it before I go to bed and after I wake up and my flaky lips are smooth for the whole day. A lot of people complain about it being in a tin, but I actually don't mind! Yes, it's unsanitary to be dipping your finger into a tin, but believe it or not this is actually a great hand moisturizer so once I finish applying the balm to my lips, I just rub the excess from my finger onto my hands so both my lips and my hands are well moisturized for the day! The tin lasts for a very, VERY long time so it's definitely worth the $7.
Gels/Soaps -The Body Shop - Strawberry Bath and Shower Gel

I just started using this strawberry shower gel a month ago. Pros: It smells like REAL strawberries in the shower and it lathers up really well. I have terrible acne on my back and my chest, but after a month of use it has cleared everything up. Cons: The smell doesn't last at all. As soon as you're out of the shower it's gone. While my back and chest acne is completely gone, it dried my skin up to the point where I have flaky patches in different parts of my skin and when I bent over to pick something up the other day, it was unbelievable painful because my dry skin CRACKED on my lower back! My skin is dry to the point where I don't even think my regular moisturizer is helping at all; for the first time in my life I'm actually thinking about getting a heavy DEEP moisturizer. I think that this is an awesome bacne fix, but it's something that you should use in moderation or paired with a really, really good moisturizer. Personally, I'll probably end up switching between this shower gel and a more moisturizing one, but once I use up this bottle I don't plan on repurchasing it because I'm sure that there is a shower gel out there that can clear up my bacne without causing my skin to flake/crack this bad.
This lip balm has made my lips so soft and smooth. I originally bought it because I loved the lemon flavor. When I lick my lips I get a slight shock of sour and then it tastes really sweet. It smells really refreshing too. It glides on very smoothly and it sinks into my lips very quickly for fast treatment. It lasts a long time, but since I enjoy licking it off my lips I have to reapply often. There is a huge difference between the texture of my lips when it's on and when it's off. With out this balm my lips become hard and flaky, but when I put it on it immediately becomes soft and smooth. I just love it! As an added note, I prefer the lemon lip balm over the lemon lip gloss because the gloss doesn't really last long so you end up using up the product faster.
This is probably the worst lip balm I've ever purchased. I thought that it was a wonderful idea to have a lip balm that could moisturize AND add a bit of color to my lips, but it didn't meet my expectations. It didn't moisturize my lips at all, and in fact it left my lips extremely dry after wearing off. As for the color, yes it did tint my lips very nicely, but because it left my lips so dry, all the dead flaky skin on my lips looked even more obvious and disgusting with the color added on top. The packaging is terrible too. It doesn't go all the way into the tube so if you're not careful when capping the lid you might scrape a chunk off of the balm onto the lid. As for the price, it definitely wasn't worth the money I paid.
Styling Products -TRESemme - Instant Heat Tamer Spray

I don't really think that this product lived up to all the hype. A lot of reviewers raved about this product but it didn't really do anything for my hair. I didn't notice anything different at all so I can't really say that it works or if it has damaged my hair. The only pros were that I got this on sale for a cheap $3.50 and that the nozzle sprays out an impressively ultra fine mist.
After watching a million positive reviews on YouTube, I was really excited about trying this product. I waited until it went on sale at my local grocery store and I bought it at a painless $2.50. The first time I used this, my hair felt so smooth! My hair is sorta course, wavy, and worst of all FRIZZY, but after using this everything smoothed out so nicely I couldn't believe it! It really was a miracle. While some reviewers said that they used it as a daily conditioner, I really disagree. The conditioner is very thick and rich- too rich to be used daily. I only suggest using it once or twice a week, and only on the ENDS of your hair. If you put it on your scalp and/or apply it daily your hair will become horrifically greasy. The only thing that I didn't like about it was the smell. I can't stand the coconut smell because I pretty much hate coconut. The smell doesn't fade away either. In fact, when I am outside when it's humid or if the kitchen becomes steamy when I'm cooking, the coconut smell gets even stronger. However, because it has done such miracles for my hair, I think that in time I'll learn to just get over the smell. ;)
I'm a HUGE Lady GaGa fan, so I went to the MAC counter at my local Belk's the weekend after it came out. They told me it was the last tube they had in stock, so I felt like I had to buy it ASAP because I wasn't sure if there would be more later since it's a limited edition. Anyway, long story short, I bought it without even swatching it. I came home and tried it on and the color looked terrible on me. I have very flakey lips and the lipstick just accentuates the flakes. Also, for me, the color doesn't last very long so after maybe an hour my lips look like I ate a powdered donut because the color closets to the inside of my lips fades so quickly. However, like I said before I'm a huge fan. The lipstick TUBE has a printed signature on it, and so does the packaging. Even if I don't like the color, I get to keep the tube and box as a collector's item!
