Treatments (Eye) -Boots - Botanics Ultimate Lift Eye Gel

This product isn't bad, but I'm 14. I'm not exactly the best reviewer of how eye moisturizer's work, especially one marketed as "Ultimate Lift". But here's my review anyway: PROS: - Moisturizes - Absorbs into skin quickly - Squeeze tube is very sanitary CONS: - Makes my concealer apply with less coverage? It's seriously bizarre, but I swear this stuff just eats up my concealer when I apply it in the morning! - Doesn't make my concealer less cakey So there's the gist of it. At Target, it retails for $14.99. If you don't really wear concealer and are looking for an eye gel that moisturizes and won't break the bank, look no further. However, I wear concealer on an everyday basis, so this will not be a repurchase for me :)

This is a pretty blush, it gives my face a healthy glow with not too much shimmer. In the sunlight, there is very apparent shimmer, much more than inside. Therefore, I don't know how more mature people would like it. It doesn't last incredibly long, but seeing as it's a powder blush, I didn't expect it to anyways. I got this half off, so my rating is a 4. But honestly, had I spent the whole $28, I don't know if it would be worth the money. For these reasons, I wouldn't repurchase it, but it is good nonetheless.

Not bad... but not great. I don't normally eat all natural yogurt, so I borrowed my mom's to try this out. Maybe it was the fact that hers was 1% yogurt that made this so ... disappointing, but either way, i didn't notice any difference. Granted, I'm 15 and have very clear skin as it is, but still... it's not perfect, and this did nothing.

Conditioner -Unlisted Brand - The Egg Bomb

I tried this using the generic formula stated by the "Most helpful" people. And honestly...I didn't like it. First off, it takes quite a bit of time to make and apply. The texture is quite sticky and makes quite a bit of mess when you apply it to your hair. What I did, was I slathered it over the bottom half of my hair and put my hair in a bun, then I put saran wrap over it to "lock in the heat" and what not. After 30 minutes, I took it out, hopped in the shower and did my regular routine - shampoo, body wash, conditioner, face cleanser. When I came out, I expected AWESOME moisture. Instead, I felt like my hair was a little weighed down and not even as moisturized as when I used my TreSemme conditioner. Overall, this was a waste of my time and effort. I guess you could try it, but trust me, It's a whole lot of work. If you're looking to try a natural alternative to conditioner for your hair, try apple cider, it's much better than this, and much cleaner to.

Alright MUA, after a disappointing experience with the yogurt face mask, you have redeemed yourself(: My concoction (lol) 250 mL or apple cider (mines not organic/natural, but I'm sure that would be better) 250 mL or rosemary water (i take 1 tablespoon of rosemary spice and put it in 250 mL of boiling water and then drain it out to just get the water) The reason I use rosemary water is because it's supposed to make the brown in my hair more vibrant. I haven't really noticed a difference, but it didn't do anything bad so that's okay(: Now, the results! I've used this twice now, and I've noticed that this does a great job adding enough moisture to my already pretty healthy hair without weighing it down. In other words, I get big volume, but without sacrificing beuatiful hair! How I apply it: I put my concotion in an empty water bottle, and after shampooing (I use the Neutrogena Anti-Residue shampoo, if it matters) I apply about 25-50 mL of the liquid on my hair by first pouring it into my hand and then just sloppily throwing it on my hair, root to tip. It is a very weird texture, especially because it replaces my normally thick conditioner. This just feels like water, and trust me, I had doubts that it would actually moisturize my hair. BUT it did! So try it! What have you got to lose?

This product is okay. It didn't dramatically change my hair for the better, but it didn't do anything bad either. If you're not trying to go sulfate-free, it wouldn't be a bad thing to try, maybe it will do wonders for your hair! However, I'm trying to stay away from the sulfates, so I won't be repurchasing.

Unfortunately, I really, really hated this product. And it looks like I'm not alone. The reason I hate it is simply because I just cannot find a use for it. For lips: First of all, applying this actually bothers me. Its kind of cold on my lips and almost tickles them *lol*. Also, the product is very wet, causing it to apply unevenly on my lips. It also doesn't have any coverage/pigmentation. It just makes my lips a bit redder, doesn't even them out. For cheeks: It's hard to apply. You have to work fast or you'll be able to see the streaks/dots made with the brush. It doesn't have much pigmentation at all (again, because it's just so wet). Also, it's not very pretty. It's... red. What more can I say? I like pretty blush colors! This... not so much. All in all, I could find a use for this product... maybe under a gloss? Under a different powder blush? And yet, I'm going to return it. I'm 15, and can't exactly afford to just throw $36 CND out the window.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon #252B Nutty

Like I said in my review for the Brulee eyeshadow, the packaging SUCKS. Any little drop, and the eyeshadow will shatter into a million pieces. That being said, it is a nicely pigmented eyeshadow. Unfortunately, this shadow is very silvery on me, and isn't very flattering. I'm about NC35, and I'm sure I can make this work if I pair it with the right colors, but at the end of the day, I don't wanna work that hard to make a 3 dollar eyeshadow look good. I bought mine at Zellers for $2.99 (Canadian)

The pigmentation of this eyeshadow is great for the price, but the packaging really bugs me. My last one actually broke after being dropped from the floor. Yep, completely shattered and made a huge mess. And if that wasn't enough, my second one required two minutes of prying with my fingers to get it open... I don't really wanna work that hard to get to a 3 dollar eyeshadow. I bought mine at Zellers for $2.99 (Canada).

LOVE this stuff! It get's all of makeup off in one or two pumps! Granted, it can't get off my waterproof mascara, but a little bit of EVOO can do that in a pinch(: Cheap, and amazing. I totally recommend!

I hate this stuff. It stings, it blurs my vision, it barely gets off any makeup, and theres not even that much in the container! In a few words, its complete bullshit. Don't get it, just use extra virgin olive oil! It gets everything off, doesn't sting, it's all natural, and best of all! It's not this stuff.

Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Dream Matte Pressed Powder
pinkrose838 6/29/2011 5:57:00 PM
This being my first powder, I can't say too much, as I'm not exactly an expert in this. However, I can say that I don't get the hype... PROS: Cheap Does not look cakey, even with more than one layer Not hard to match skintone, cause it's very sheer Comes with a mirror CONS: No coverage... whatsoever. Doesn't keep my skin matte for more than 3-4 hours Doesn't keep my makeup (concealer, liquid foundation) lasting longer Weird packaging... but you get used to it At the end of the day, I probably will repurchase this if I need something to keep me matte for cheap. For now though, I'm gonna start trying other powders because this is definitely not what I wanted.

OMG. I have tried countless numbers of MUA Top Picks hair conditioners and serums. THIS is the only one that is my HG. Why? Because its awesome! It makes my hair feel soft, silky, it tames the frizz, its a drugstore product, a little goes a long way, and did i mention its awesome? Oh, and I have thick black hair that's naturally wavy, if it helps. But PLEASE just go try this out! It is literally the best 8 bucks I've ever spent. LEGIT.

Lips -C.O. Bigelow - Lemon Lip Balm
pinkrose838 5/30/2011 11:20:00 PM
LOVE how this feels on my lips - smooth, soft, moisturized. Much better than those DS brands... and I've tried them all. Wouldn't work too well as a lipstick base though, much better for nighttime. Unfortunately, the writing rubs off VERYY easily, so I now have a sketchy looking yellow tube with a black bottom in my bag :/ Also pretty pricey for a lip balm, but I still love it(:

Found this at the Dollarama, and I am SO shocked at how good this is! After hearing rave reviews from pinkiecharm, I figured I'd give this a try, and it totally beats out Chapstick, Nivea, and many other DS brands. I'd even go so far as to compare this to the C.O.Bigelow Lemon Lip Balm, my HG.
