Shampoo -Avalon Organics Botanicals - Lavender

Once my hair went through the transition period of getting used to a sulfate free shampoo, this was a great product. Your hair will not feel smooth like it would with a generic drugstore shampoo, but upon styling it looks great. Recommend to those wishing to avoid harmful ingredients.

I actually really liked this product. When I cut my hair to an A-line bob, I needed something to help volumize a bit. I use a few sprays on the roots before blow drying and I can really notice a difference. The best part is, you can't tell the product is there- no residue, stickyness, etc.

Lips -Burt's Bees - Lip Shimmers - Rhubarb

My go-to daily lip product. I love this because I feel like on me, lipstick is too much for everyday. I have fair skin and green eyes, I usually do subtle berry/plum eyeshadow and this lip balm compliments that so well. The only other lip product I have liked as much is Clinique's Almost Lipstick in Black Honey, but that is more of a nighttime look for me.

Hair -Moroccanoil - Moroccan Oil

This is a miracle worker on my hair. I have thin, wavy, fine hair that is prone to breakage and split ends. A tiny bit of this product on the ends of my hair makes all the difference in the world. I shower at night, and why I style my dried hair in the morning it's softer, shinier, and bouncier. I highly recommend.

Powder -Sephora - Compact Foundation
rated 2 of 5

For my dry skin, this powder goes on cakey, doesn't offer very much coverage, (I actually have decent skin, I don't even need that much coverage, this just went on and gave me cake face) and the packaging is awkward and horrible. Flipping between the powder and mirror is a hassle. $20 doesn't seem like much for powder, but this has a little more than half the content you could get with MAC Studio Fix for a few dollars more, not to mention a better product. I think with dry skin like mine you need a product that isn't so dry like this one is. I don't have any acne, and just like something to even out my skin a little bit but this did absolutely nothing good. Would not repurchase.

The shade selection is great, but it's easy to overdo. Great product if applied lightly. If you have dry skin like me it's best to moisturize a lot prior to application.

Shampoo -Victoria's Secret - So Sexy Shampoo
rated 5 of 5
pinkpointeshoe 10/22/2009 1:37:00 PM

My absolute favorite hair products of all time. If you have "special needs" hair this might not be for you, but for my wavy, fine, dry hair these products are fantastic. I was a little concerned about it containing sulfates, but my hair does fine with them so I don't see a problem. The smell is fabulous, even better than the "body by victoria" perfume which supposedly contains the same scent. UPDATE: If you have damaged hair, this is not for you. Smells great, but intensifies damaged hair. I suggest the Bed Head Dumb Blonde shampoo for better results with a smell thats almost as great.

The So Sexy hair products actually smell better than this IMO... (they're supposed to have the same scent.) I like it a lot for a fresh, clean spring/summer fragrance.

Dried out my hair and made it tangle-y. Not good for those of us with dry hair.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Extra Volume Collagen mascara

Best mascara I've ever used, far better than diorshow or lash injection. I would reccomend using a lash comb or a mascara brush that works like a comb directly after.

Great product at a steep price. Looks great on fair skin, has a nice light scent when applied. I would repurchase.

Despite this supposedly being hypoallergenic, I developed a red itchy/burning reaction after using. Those with sensitive skin, beware!

Shampoo -TiGi - Self Absorbed Shampoo

I'm surprised at some of the negative reviews this product gets, but people just need to keep in mind that different products work for different hair types. For my thin, wavy, easily damaged hair, this gave it great strength and body and added shine. Definitely a great product of you have a similar hair type. Update: This dries out my hair when used repeatedly... wouldn't reccomend for dry hair.

Fragrances -Nina Ricci - Nina (New)
rated 5 of 5
pinkpointeshoe 10/7/2009 11:55:00 PM

My favorite scent, I wear it almost every day. Very light and inoffensive, it's nothing groundbreaking but it's really hard to dislike Nina! I love sweet gourmand scents but find them too overpowering for everyday wear. Nina is sweet, but a very fresh kind of sweet that isn't overpowering or headache-inducing in any way. Citrus-y and fruit-y on the opening, the heart is creamy and you can definitely smell the praline and vanilla, while the dry down is true to the description- white cedar. I reccomend buying a rollerball or lotion to touchup throughout the day, because the staying power isn't great but it smells so good you'll want to reapply! I can tell why this has been a bestseller in France and can't imagine why more stores don't sell it in the States. UPDATE: This goes GREAT with "Country Apple" lotion from Bath and Body works!
