Treatments -L'Oreal - Everstrong Overnight Repair Treatment
pinknika 6/13/2013 1:35:00 PM
I really like this product. I love that my hair instantly feels soft and supple when I put this on. I try my best to put this on dry hair, but mostly I use it when it's slightly damp because I am a night shower type gal. I love the smell, its like a vanilla-coconut-herbaly smell and I think its great, not overwhelming at all. I haven't seen any long term results, and the softness does go away when I wake up in the morning, probably because I toss and turn and I usually sleep with my hair wild. But I think the idea of an overnight treatment for your hair is pretty cool and reminds me of like overnight masks and stuff, if you do those why not do it for your hair? Anyways, the pump packaging is good, I divide my hair into 2 sections and use 1 pump for each. No oily mess, no residue, it seems to sink in really well like your hair is drinking it up. I will repurchase this as long as they keep on making it!

Fragrances -Hanae Mori - Butterfly EDT
pinknika 6/11/2013 1:38:00 AM
I got this as a sample tube from Sephora. The first time I sprayed it, I sprayed a big good spray and it was really overwhelming. Very overly sweet, fruity and big vanilla tones to it very harsh and sharp. Made me kinda gag. I shelved it and then picked it up again a few weeks later, this time only squirting a 1/4 squirt (my sample squirts, not finely mists) to where I felt 5-6 droplets. It was perfect. This way I was able to smell all the notes, I definatley smelled vanilla, also musk and jasmine and roses. I really like it and it might take place as a signature scent as I like it that much! And I'm feeling that this sample will def last me since I just need a few drops and I'm good. If it runs out, I will purchase!

Polishes -China Glaze - Happy Go Lucky
pinknika 6/10/2013 6:44:00 PM
I like this color, I don't know why I'm obsessed with yellow lately but being this my first yellow colored polish (had a huge collection years ago, not sure if yellow was apart of it) I really like it. I think it could have some improvements, the application is quite streaky, the first time I used it I had to do 3 coats. The second time I promised myself I would take more time and only use 2. It took me a while but only 2 coats and it was pretty saturated and no streaks or bald spots. BUT I can't get it to look perfect like the photos on here or the photos that some of the bloggers have. It dried kinda thick and is subject to chips and peeling so thats not very good. But I think it's a nice yellow. I want to try other shades of yellow, maybe Sally Hansen Insta dri lightening or maybe some pastel yellows from another brand. I just think this is perfect for summer tho!

Bronzers -The Body Shop - Honey Bronze Shimmering Dry Oil
pinknika 5/26/2013 3:32:00 PM
Ugh. First of all, this stuff smells disgusting. I was expecting a nice sweet honey smell, what I got was a sour like chamomile/calendula smell that smells just like kiss my face honey moisturizer which I despise. Second, the packaging! You need to literally dap and shake the dropper a million times to have anything come out. So frustrating! Third, the actual product itself: this oil was not dry, left an oily sheen and was really streaky and got all over my clothes. I was hoping for a nice bronzing effect that wasn't streaky and dried. Nope, 3 strikes for me! I took it back immediately.

Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Grapeseed oil
pinknika 5/23/2013 7:37:00 PM
I use this soley as a makeup remover. I used to olive oil, I would slather it on my face, get a wash cloth and soak under HOT water and then apply to my face, my makeup literally would MELT OFF with a couple swipes. I stopped using olive oil because it sorta irritated my eyes, as I would just rub a little over them and apply hot water and voila! Eye makeup gone! But enter grapeseed oil, I just tried it as a fluke one day applied it over my eyes taking my eye makeup off and yay no irritation! So now I just use this to remove ALL my makeup! NO eye makeup remover, no cotton balls, it doesn't take forever and thats what I love! I actually laughed cause I was washing the Housewives of OC where one of them was taking off her eyemakeup using a cotton ball and eyemakup remover, it looked painful, she kept on tugging and using more eyemakeup remover and more cotton balls! I was like gee, just use oil it will go faster! But yes I remember those days, heavy eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow with primer and it took FOREVER to get off! Not anymore! Taking off my makeup is a breeze now and I also cleanse my face with Orjene Organics face wash which takes ALL the makeup off after the oil! Anyways, I love grapeseed oil. Haven't tried it as a moisturizer or for my hair, I just like it for my eye makeup. Oh and I buy a big bottle at Trader Joes, last me a good long while.

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Lip Smackers
pinknika 5/23/2013 7:28:00 PM
I can't believe I have never reviewed these! I have been using this for YEARS, ever since elementary school lol. I originally fell in love with the bubble gum flavor but as I got older I reached for watermelon and strawberry, those are my 2 favorites that I always run back to...and I mean run! Sure, there are a few other chapsticks I like, but nothing quite like these! I think these are truly HG for me.

Polishes -China Glaze - Turned Up Turquoise 849237
pinknika 5/15/2013 2:54:00 PM
UPDATE: I am updating my review because I wore it out all weekend and I got soo many compliments! The girls I work with at the office really liked it, random strangers at this fair I attended this weekend loved it, there was even a vendor who I came back to just to purchase something and he was like oh she's back! The one with the turquoise nail polish. lol. So i gave this an extra lippie, but still deducting 1 because it chips like crazy. I though I had myself protected as I used a no chip base coat and top coat for this, but nope didn't help. Hey China Glaze, you really should re-launch this product and reformulate it NOT MATTE. Yes I am one of those who didn't do their research when buying polish. Ulta was having a buy 2 get 1 free offer for China Glaze and I picked the colors that to me, were summery...who knew that the colors on the display were going to be different finishes... Nope, didn't expect it to dry matte and didn't expect it to be soo green! I mean its really not turquoise, really its more like a brighter green. I wish I would have bought for Audrey or Refresh-mint, I know that those are a different color & doesn't compare but I would have been happy with those intead of this harsh green.

BB Cream -Tarte - BB tinted treatment 12-hour primer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen
pinknika 5/13/2013 12:43:00 PM
I hate to wreck all the great reviews, but this stuff didn't work for me at all. I ordered light which is what I wore in the tarte 12 hour amazonion clay foundation with no problems, this color however seems a tad more orangy and wasn't exactly light. It accentuated my pores, fine lines and clung hard to the dry patches I didn't know I had. It seemed to fade fast after 6 hours, and all I saw in the mirror was an oily, dry patchy and parched mess (if that makes sense). I was hoping this would be amazing, the models on QVC sure looked it, but nope. Yes it goes on smooth and feels sorta velvety but after it's set, it looks pretty cakey and it oxidized on me. I used a tiny amount and even used it together with the brush that came with it. Oh well.

Mascara -Physicians Formula - Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Mascara
pinknika 5/9/2013 12:30:00 PM
UPDATE: Just like I said, it started to dry up pretty fast after a couple weeks use, and it started to give me a bad irritation like my eyes would hurt and water and because of that, I would rub them and yes flake city! But I have never had a mascara bother me EVER. Weird, so much for "organic". Back to maybelline! This mascara is interesting. The formula is very different from any others I've tried. It lasts really long, you know other mascaras by the end of the day, the tips of your lashes are not as long? This one doesn't do that, it dries to almost a very matte finish and the definition is really great. I think tho, its not for dramatic looking lashes as since it dries really fast, its hard to apply a lot to get a really dramatic effect, the brush is nice and it separates each lash for me, making a very feathery lash look, similar to the buxom mascara I've used. And no clumps! Also not experiencing any flakes. I'm scared though because it dries so fast, am I going to trash it in a few weeks? Usually most new out of the package mascaras are really wet, a couple of weeks go by and the consistency is better, then it dries out in 2 months, I'm worried this mascara might dry up given its already pretty dry after I took it out of the package. I will update if this happens. Overall, nice mascara for day/work look.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Unlisted Brand - Tomato ketchup
pinknika 5/8/2013 1:20:00 PM
LMAO. I completely thought I was going to have to add this to the site because I was for sure that NOBODY would review ketchup, but here I am and there are 2 reviews!! So I am NOT crazy! LOL. Anyways, yeah long story, I got highlights at a salon from someone who I don't regularly go to because my stylist was out sick. I decided to proceed with this new girl and she did an ok job but my hair was a little brassy and orangy and the highlights were too chunky. So I decide to tone it using the Wella White Lady toner, I think its T18 from Sallys, its violet based so I thought it would tone my hair. Well my blonde came out super super ashy, and I guess my lowlight was ashy too because it came out greyish-green. I was like ahh noooo. SO I researched and only a couple sites mentioned ketchup, so I tried last night. I was hesitant to do so because ketchup is precious in my house and I hated to waste it on my hair, but I did anyway and I had to put a lot on, I plastic wrapped my hair and left it on for an hour. I rinsed out and shampooed and conditioned and to my surprise no more ashiness, the blonde is defintley a little more goldeny. YAY. I couldn't be happier. Not sure if its going to last, so I'll probably end up buying more ketchup strictly for my hair. Anyways, must try for anyone with greenish grayish hair!!

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Passion fruit (Maracuja) oil
pinknika 5/7/2013 1:41:00 PM
I have used maracuja oil for 2 weeks now, I got mine from my natural bliss. I haven't tried any other maracuja oil. I think this oil smells disgusting, I contacted them to see if I got a bad batch or something but all they said was they were sorry I didn't like the smell. The smell faded the next morning which was good, but the craziest part was the way my skin looked the very next day, plumped up and bright, I could even feel it on my pillow as I pressed my cheek against it, I thought wow this is amazing!!! Well, those results were probably a fluke because after that day, my skin went back to its original state, dry, deflated and dull. And since I have been using it, I do see little tiny breakouts on my cheek every other day or so. I am not sure if this is for acne prone skin but a lot of people say its healed their acne. Overall, I'm on the fence, I most likely will not repurchase this brand, but try maybe the Tarte brand, Oca-brazil and Providencia Beauty. I want those first day results back!!!

Lips -L'Oreal - Colour Riche Balm
pinknika 5/1/2013 1:43:00 PM
I have to agree with some reviews, this is basically very lightly tinted chapstick. I do like chapstick and I do like tinted balms but wanted just a teeny bit more color payoff. Revlon lip butters have too much of a color payoff for me and Maybelline color whispers just dry out my lips. To be fair, I do have darker lips, very medium pink. I think this would suit someone with very fair lips. I like this idea but, if I wanted to buy chapstick, I would, and it won't cost me $8.

Blush -Jordana - Blush
pinknika 4/29/2013 2:28:00 PM
Not sure why all the rave reviews. I needed blush for some time now and instead of splurging on tarte or nars or itcosmetics, I decided to go the cheap route. I got this for 4/$5, which means $1.25 each. I got touch of pink, rouge, coral sandy beach and rose silk. I am not sure if it's my mineral makeup or what, but these do not last at all. Yes, they're pigmented but in a weird dry powdery way and I know if you slide your finger and swatch it on your arm, it shows up, but on a blush brush, it doesn't apply evenly and in a few hours, its dissapeared. So sad, but you get what you pay for I guess. I still am going to try their mascara and lip products, but if those suck too I'm done with Jordana.
