I love BB creams but hate the fact that most of them are pink-toned. So I am very happy to discover Bobbi Brown BB Cream. This is perfect because the yellowish tone does not wash me out. It is easy to blend and very, very light on the skin. You only need a very small amount to even out your skin tone. I am using Medium, which is already the darkest shade. But I think this is quite forgiving, since the foundation shades I am using are NC35 or darker. Must buy again!

Treatments -Laneige - Laneige Strawberry Soft Peeling Gel

WOW! This is my first Laneige product and my most favorite of all. A very gentle scrub, it really gets the job done. And because it is a peeling gel, there is little (or no) tendency to overscrub your skin -- unlike those abrasive apricot scrubs that I used to love. A little goes a long way. You only need a dime-sized amount (or less) to clean, damp face and scrub away those dead cells. I love how my skin feels very smooth and supple and looks so much brighter after washing away the gel. I keep on touching my face (I know, baaaad) after every use. The scent is also a big plus! My stomach growls every single time I use this :) I am not even halfway through my current tube, but already purchased another! I am HOOKED!

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Total Face Brush

This is the worst brush I have so far! When I first got it, it was really soft. But after washing, the hairs turned really stiff and scratchy. I don't use this anymore. I can't even use this as a body brush -- that's how scratchy it is. Yuck.

Liquid -Shiseido - The Makeup Dual Balancing Foundation SPF 17

My search for a liquid foundation is over! I attended a makeup class, and the teacher had one bottle of this. I was instantly in love! The very same day, I got my own bottle. I am Asian and my tone is O40, but found that the O60 works as well. I love that this is very light, and applies smoothly with a brush or just with fingers. It is also absorbed easily by my normal-dry skin and does not appear cakey. The color is perfect - not too white, pink, peachy, etc. This is great for those with normal/dry/combination skin because it hydrates really well. Even when I take it off, my skin feels supple and not dried out (but I know that is also because of the Shiseido softener, which I really love!!). People with oily skin might not like this very much.

Powder -Everyday Minerals - foundation semi-matte formula

I'm also an EM convert from BE! I can't believe I've shied away from EM all because some people were saying EM uses cheap minerals so it fades away quickly. WRONG! EM is one of the most versatile foundations in terms of shades and coverage. I like the semi-matte formula because it gives just the right amount of sheen to my face. It does not dry out my combination skin and I like the fact that I found my skin tone match in 3 shades :D So I bought all 3 shades in full size -- semi matte, of course.
