If mint candy apple doesn't work for you because your too pale like me (NC 20ish), then Absolutely Shore is the perfect pastel mint color for you. It sometimes look minty and in certain lighting it looks a bit blue, but it is beautiful regardless.
One of my top 5 nail polishes from Essie! It goes on absolutely smooth on the first coat. The color is flattering and is just a tad bit warmer and than Tickle My Francey from OPI.
Love the color (even though it does not work perfectly with my skintone) and love how smoothly it guides on. No streaks at all! This color is great for the spring and summer!
The swatch from this color is so deceiving. When swatched on the hand it looks like a pretty cool toned pink, but when worn, it washes me out, makes my teeth look like a horrible shade of yellow gray, and emphasizes the lines on my lip. I don't find it moisturizing at all and can't make this lipstick work for me even when wearing with a gloss.
Amazing, amazing, amazing!!! These are the most buttery and blendable eyeshadows I have ever tried. I know MAC is super popular and known for its pigmentation, but I feel that the Lorac is so much more pigmented and blendable! I have the 3D singles, cappucino, charcoal, cocoa, and budoir and negligee. Like what one of the previous reviewers said, they are so amazing once you place them on your lids. The colors are super flattering and even though cocoa looks like every other shimmery pink out there, but when swiped on the eyes, they truly are flattering. The price is very hefty though I think if you can find one or two staple colors, it will be colors you will definately grab for over the other brands. Lorac is definately an underrated brand for eyeshadows.
Conditioner -Dove - Nourishing Oil Care Conditioner
pinkcl0uds 12/10/2011 12:18:00 AM
I have been using this conditioner (along with the shampoo) for close to two months now and WOW! I can really see a difference. My hair has never been this silky, shiny, and soft! it smells great and it hasn't built up on my hair even after all these days of use. This is what my hair use to be: frizzy, course, thick and rough with little shine. It has all changed now! And it actually bounces now! This is definately my HG conditioner.
I was blown away when I received my online order. This palette is much tinier than I thought, which is perfect because i like to travel and have so many make up items that I want to bring with me but not enough room in my luggage. This mini palette is great! It comes with 8 very pigmented and wearable shadows, 8 lip colors, and one blush and one highlighter. I am amazed at how compact they were able to make it! The entire palette is equivalent to 2-3 nyx single shadows, about one mac blush (if you were to shape it into a square) or two mac lipsticks!!!!!!! The lip colors are a lil too glittery and shimmery for me, and the colors are also a bit dark, but it doesn't take away from this palette at all! The price is super affordable at $15 dollars. During the sale, this palette was only $7, which is hte price I paid but I wouldn't have mind paying the full price for this! I've tried many other travel sized palettes but were never completely happy with them. I've tried the MAC, NYX, coastal scents. But there were always colors that I wouldn't have used and someitmes the palettes wouldn't pack too many shades (or even blush or lipstick) into them. If Sephora was to design a custom colorflip, (and maybe have the colors all natural) then I don't think I would need to buy any other brand palette every again!!!
I purchased this eyeshadow when it was on sale and Lorac eyeshadows have big discounts on their eyeshadows. I purchased mine for about $4.50. This is the perfect brown. It is not too much on the red side and not too much on the yellow, its PERFECT. It is also the most buttery shadow that I've ever laid my fingers on. The color blends well and stays on long. i'm sad that it's discontinued, but this shadow (along with Cocoa which I always reach for) is what made me a develop a fondness for Lorac. I'm surprised there isn't alot of craze for their products (it could be the price that deters them from trying it) but looking at the reviews on MUA, their shadows are all in the 80-90%.
Eyeliner -Physicians Formula - Shimmer Strips Gel Creamliner (all)
pinkcl0uds 8/21/2011 1:28:00 AM
This eyeliner is amazing! I bought the trio with the black, brown, and purple. I've only tried the black and brown. The black was not bad, and was pretty good. It seemed to dry out a bit quick. But the brown was an HG!!!!!!! It stayed put and was super creamy and glided on without skipping! No smuding at all and was rich and dark all throughout a 15 hour day! It's my go to brown! I've had it open for as long as the black, but it doesn't seem to dry out at all. I've had it for about 6 months now, and its still as creamy as when i first opened it! It is a great product! If physicians formula could make the black a bit more creamy, I think it'll become my HG black cream eyeliner (so far, the wet'n'wild cream liner in black surpassed it). Overall, my high rating of this product is definately because of the brown cream liner. I will keep repurchasing as long as they keep making it!
I have fair skin and have tried many blushes from low end (ELF) to high end (Smashbox, MAC, Nars) and no other peachy blushes looks as natural and blends as beautifully as this one. Its very buildable and gives me consistent results everytime. No blotchiness like some of the other blushes. Very soft and wearable.
Lipstick -Revlon - ColorBurst in 070 Soft Nude [DISCONTINUED]
pinkcl0uds 11/27/2010 10:00:00 PM
I've been on the search for the perfect nude lipstick and I"ve finally found it. The colorburst in soft nude is so flattering on my pale skin and doesn't wash me out. Its the perfect nude color and is very moisturizing. I have very dry lips and nude lipsticks usually sink into the lines and look chalky, but this is the first nude lipstick that i don't need to pair with a balm in order to make my lips looks soft, supple and nude. The packaging is cute and looks higher end, the price is a little high for drugstore lipsticks but i think it is well worth it. This is my HG nude lipstick!
Blush -E.L.F. - Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder
pinkcl0uds 11/25/2009 7:03:00 PM
I agree with most of the reviewers on this. ELF did a wonderful job on this blush and bronzer!!!! The blush is a beautiful corally pink with gold flecks. Its a complete dupe for Nar's Deep throat! Both colors are pigmented and blends in well. ANd for the price, it is such a steal!!!!!!!!!! (I got it for $0.75 when there was a promotion going on. I should have stocked up on more!!! Every night i go out, i love to grab this blush! I will repurchase this over and over and over!
This is a great shampoo! I'm not sure if it protects my color or not but I can never tell anyway with other shampoos that I have tried (Pantene, Loreal Everpure..etc) It makes my hair soooooooo silky smooth!!! And my hair is always a pouffy mess!!!!!!!!! It smells sooo good and the scent is not overpowering at all! I really notice a difference in my hair (colored, course and dry, frizz, the works..)
Eye Shadow -NYX - 10 Color Palette - Champagne & Caviar
pinkcl0uds 10/13/2009 1:36:00 PM
I am a huge fan of NYX shadows but I am highly disappointed with this one. The colors look gorgeous in the palette but they do not show up! One of the colors in there is a dupe for nyx single champagne. I swatched them both next to each other and champagne shows up much more pigmented. I have to layer the colors quite a few times before I get anything to show up and by that time, the powder gets chalky. It doesn't blend that well either. Stick with the trios and singles!
Gels/Soaps -Burt's Bees - Naturally Nourishing Milk & Shea Butter Body Wash
pinkcl0uds 10/6/2009 6:17:00 PM
I love Burt's Bees products and I picked this up because of the nice soft scent but I find that I need a lot of it in order to get it to lather up. I feel like I use way more of the product than I should. I would repurchase but I found better natural body washes.
