This product is terrible!!!! I've enjoyed all of my ELF studio blushes that I've purchased so I thought that I would love this as well. Boy was I wrong, while this does have a lovely color to it, a subtle highlight with some gold shimmer, it is way, way, way too chalky. It applies terribly and looks powdery and completely obvious. On top of that it pretty much started breaking and cracking after I had it for like a week. I definitely do not recommend this, it looks way too cakey and powdery on the face!!
I love this product!! There's really not much to say, this is an amazing light pinkish lipliner with a hint of a purple undertone that creates the best nude lipliner ever!!! I love this product and use it virtually everyday! It's great quality, lasts a long time, and is paraben free!! Also, you can get it for under $4 at the drugstore. I could not recommend this product enough!!!
Tinted Moisturizer -Physicians Formula - Organic Wear - Light to Natural
pinkandgreendotz 10/2/2011 1:13:00 AM
I only bought this product because I found it for $3 in the clearance section of rite aid. With that being said, I don't think it's completely terrible and I will probably use it (on rotation with my other foundations/tinted moisturizers) until it runs out. I have mixed feeling about this products so I'll try to break down my feelings.... Pros: 1) It's organic and natural those are obviously HUGE pros! 2) It's available at the drugstore 3) For a tinted moisturizer the cover is pretty decent 4) It has spf 5) the packaging is pretty convenient 6) It's long wearing and will last at least 8 hours without setting it with a powder (maybe longer, but I haven't tested it) 7) It's easy to apply with your fingers (in fact, that's the only way I would recommend to apply it) Cons: 1) It SMELLS, like seriously, if you're familiar with the way a lot of natural/organic products tend to have a strange grassy, earthy smell, this smells like that times about 10. While the smell isn't anything extremely overpowering to where i notice it during the day and it aggravates my sinuses or something, I do get mildly self conscious about wearing it, if anyone gets within 10 inches of your face they may smell it and start to wonder..... 2) It is extremely liquidly, like water, and kind of strange 3) For a tinted moisturizer this really doesn't moisturize at all 4) It's not worth the money. I got it on an amazing deal, but if not the $13 or so it goes for is ridiculous, I would never pay more than $5 for this. Summary: like I said since I have it I will continue to use it on days I want very light coverage and a light weight product on my face, but I will not repurchase and honestly, since it smells so bad, I do not recommend it! There are better tinted moisturizers out there for the money and that are natural/organic.
OMG!!! I LOVE this eyeshadow!! It's such a great color to have in your neutral/daytime collection! I'm fairly pale so this definitely shows up on me, but I think it would work just as well on darker skin tones. If you're looking for a traditional pink eyeshadow then I could see how you'd be disappointed, however this is just so gorgeous I don't see how anyone could complain! Pretty much this color just gives an awesome wash of a sheer pink over the lids with a spectacular gold-ish sheen. It's definitely one of my staple products, it's a terrific all over the lid neutral everyday color, while being more interesting and flattering than say a traditional champagne or taupe color. Also it's actually softer and easier to apply than some of my MAC eyeshadows!! I can't say enough about this product and I highly recommend it!
Blush -E.L.F. - Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder
pinkandgreendotz 2/17/2011 4:01:00 AM
I like the concept of this product, but it just doesn't work for me. My main problem is the massive amount of shimmer/glitter in this product. Both the blush and the bronzer are just chock-full of glitter, which I definitely don't understand why the bronzer has so much glitter in it since it's supposed to be a contour powder. Since when were glittery cheek hollows flattering? On top of that the blush may be the most shimmery/glittery blush I've ever even seen and it's just terrible, the color barely actually shows up (I'm extremely pale FYI), and the shimmer does nothing but emphasize my pores. I think that the shade of the contour powder can work and be flattering on a lot of skin tones, so it's not a total waste, but I wouldn't bother repurchasing it. I think for contouring you're just better off using an actual face powder that's 3 shades darker than your skin tone, you'll look much more natural than you will with this glittery mess!!
Liquid -Rimmel - Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation
pinkandgreendotz 2/17/2011 3:55:00 AM
I'm not sure if I would completely rave about this product, however it is a pretty good foundation. There are a lot of positive things about it.... I'm not sure about the whole 25 hour thing but it definitely lasts for at least a good 10 hours. It offers medium-full coverage and is easily applied with my fingers, which is always a plus in my book. I actually like the packaging quite a lot, the only thing that would make it better would be a pump simply because pump foundations are always easier in my opinion. The packaging is a good idea as the squeeze tube makes it very easy to get the product out and I feel like it will allow me to not lose much product, also the packaging prevents any air from being pushed into the bottle which will help decrease the spread of bacteria and help the product last longer. Finally, though, there are a few CONS to this product to be aware of: 1) The shade selection is pretty slim. Fortunately I'm fairly pale so the 100 shade works well for me, but the next shade that I found at my store was 200 which is drastically darker, so when I fake tan I just mix the two together. It's not a huge problem but this is definitely a foundation you may just have to commit to mixing two colors together with, because an exact shade match seems rare to find. 2) While it's not too difficult to apply the foundation with my fingers, it is a little different in terms of blending. It's a very thick formula and doesn't glide quite so easily across the face. My advice is to use a good lightweight primer that smooths your skin out, it doesn't have to be fancy but it will definitely make the application smoother and easier, lately I've been using my E.L.F. mineral infused primer when I apply this foundation. This is definitley one of my go-to everyday foundations and I do think it's a great deal because it's affordable to begin with, you get a good amount of product, and you normally always find it on some kind of sale!
Eye Shadow -Cover Girl - Eye Enhancers Quad - Dynamite Drama
pinkandgreendotz 2/17/2011 3:45:00 AM
I am definitely not a fan of this product! The shadows are all pretty chalky in consistency and they're not the easiest to blend. On top of that the only color that actually looks good is the burgundy one! The packaging is also very cheaply made and I feel that if I lightly dropped the quad one time it would completely shatter. I definitely will not be repurchasing this item as it was a huge disappointment!
Primer/ Corrector -Urban Decay - All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray
pinkandgreendotz 2/12/2011 7:45:00 AM
This product was one of the biggest disappointments ever! It literally does nothing for me!!! Maybe it works for some people, but it was definitely a complete waste of $30 bucks on my part. I highly recommend getting a trial size first before shelling out the money as this did absolutely nothing.
Oh my god!! this mascara is horrible. the color doesn't show up whatsoever on your lashes, i was expecting a slight tint to help my green eyes stand out, but nothing... also it's different from regular lashblast because this formula does not lengthen your lashes at all, this product was by far my most disappointing makeup purchase to date, good thing it was a drugstore product (however in my opinion $7.50 is a wayy too much to pay for a covergirl mascara) honestly.. do no buy this product not only does the color do nothing but it makes your lashes appear stubby, short, and slightly clumpy... a complete waste of time and money
Powder -Physicians Formula - Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Loose Powder
pinkandgreendotz 4/11/2009 6:27:00 AM
I love this product. It gives me a very smooth, evened out complexion, and it does an awesome job covering up my blemishes, I don't even have to use concealer on them anymore. I do still have to use concealer for my dark circles, but you can't expect a foundation to cover everything. This product stays on for a very long time, I used to have to re apply foundation half-way through my day but this really stays put! The brush that it comes with works okay, but after several uses it really starts to wear down and not work as well. Instead I use the travel size kabuki brush bare minerals and every since I have been so pleased with this product!!! That's the best advice I could give, is to use a good quality kabuki brush with this product and you will be so pleased!
This product is one of my all-time favorites! I use it ever day on my lips! I get compliments all the time from people that think I just have naturally rosey lips. This product is amazing as a lip-stain, it's completely natural looking and easy to use. I used to wear it every day on my cheeks as well but I've started using Dallas everyday which works wonderfully as an all in one cheek color, but I still use benetint on my cheeks on occasion when I want to have a more rosey flush. I love this product because it's extremely long lasting and natural looking. Don't let the $28 price tag steer you away because this stuff will last you a very, very, long time. A little goes a long way with this, so when you actually think about this, this might actually be one of the best ways to cut down your makeup bill. The only downside is the big bottle that comes in, I love it for at home use but it's bulky for travel or keeping in my purse in case I decide to do a mid-day touch-up. But other than that I love it!
I LOVE this product! It's the most awesome cheek color ever invented! The shade so brilliant and super flattering, I've used it on almost all my friends and it seriously flatters ever skin shade. It's especially good for people like myself that vary in their skin shades. I can use this product year round, even when i'm ghostly pale in the winter, semi-tan in the spring tan, and pretty dark in the summer. I love the way that this color always fits. I actually like the packaging, it's pretty, cute, and I don't really find the small box hard to deal with. It's a really well-made product, it's very long lasting and easy to put on. The product is very pigmented so you only need a little bit. The only time this product ever made me look "dirty" as some of you described happening is when I put too much on. Although it does cost $28 which is pretty pricey in my book for a cheek color, it's definitely worth it because it lasts a while. I use it every day and it normally lasts me at least a good 7 months. Also it's a great if you're a person that likes to contour because it does a good job blending your contour and highlight shades together so you get that natural seamless look. I definitely recommend this product to everyone!!
