Cleansers -Bioderma - Sensibio H2O (aka Crealine H20 Solution micellaire)
rated 5 of 5
pink1223 1/28/2012 4:03:00 PM

I just finished my first 500ml bottle, so it's safe to say that I love it! Sensibio/Crealine H20 makes my skin feel clean and removes all my makeup, but doesn't leave a tight, astringent, uncomfortable feeling after. The greatest virtue of this product is its ability to effectively remove makeup and truly cleanse the skin while being as gentle as water. One 500ml bottle lasted me over 3 months. I was lucky enough to purchase this in France. Now that I've finished my 1st bottle, I'm scheming of ways to get it for a good price here in the US (I should have taken a whole suitcase for Bioderma because it was a much better deal there: 18 euros for 2 bottles). Overall, I think this the best makeup remover/toner/cleanser I've tried, and I'm willing to pay extra when it comes time to purchase more :)

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - PanOxyl 10% Foaming Face Wash
rated 5 of 5
pink1223 1/3/2012 12:56:00 AM

I have been using this face wash for 2.5 months now (the tube version, not the bar). I have to say, it is the best acne fighting product I have ever used. I have light to moderate acne, which isn't debilitating, but at the same time, I've never gotten my skin completely clear. Enter Panoxyl, and now I have near-perfect skin. It has completely annihilated the breakouts I had on my cheeks and chin. The only downside is that it is extremely drying. I read the reviews before purchasing, so I knew to gradually work up my BP tolerance. I started out using it every 3rd day, then worked up to now using it once or twice daily. I always follow with at least 3-4 pumps of Cerave PM moisturizer and my skin has never looked better. I also want to add that I've recently implemented Acne.org AHA+ lotion to my routine, which really helps counteract the flakiness and dryness that BP can generate (and also keeps breakouts at bay). Panoxyl 10% BP face wash is amazing. It is inexpensive and widely available. I highly recommend it!

Cleansers -Shea Terra Organics - Shea Terra Organics Rose Hip & Red Bush African Black Soap Face Wash
rated 5 of 5
pink1223 5/8/2011 4:47:00 PM

This is hands down the best facial cleanser I have ever used. I have never found anything that has improved my skin like this has! I have oily, somewhat acne-prone skin (I usually get hormonal breakouts, meaning a few annoying zits a month). This works amazingly well at getting rid of dead skin. This is how I use it for extra exfoliating power: I put it on as sort of a mask and really massage it in, wait a few minutes (also great to apply to dry skin before getting in the shower), then as I'm rinsing it off, I can feel a lot of dead skin coming up. So I use a microfiber cloth and scrub those areas where the dead skin is lifting really well (but don't overscrub). Then after my skin feels smooth, I will rinse thoroughly. It really does leave my skin absolutely squeaky clean...but doesn't have that tight feeling. Amazing. I use my Dickinson's witch hazel toner afterwards and moisturize. I have found that if I can feel a pimple coming up, using this cleanser really takes the guts out of it (so to speak). And if I do have pimples that come to the surface, they heal so much faster when I use this wash. I am on my second bottle and I've been using it for 4.5 months. It is a must-try!

Lip Treatments -Christian Dior - Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm
rated 5 of 5
pink1223 2/26/2011 4:12:00 PM

I bought this about two months ago with somewhat low expectations. I've tried other products like this (Smashbox O Gloss I'm talking to you..) and hated them. I don't like the hot-pink-popsicle-lips-look on me. Although this lip balm is not any more revolutionary than the others (all of that "reacting with your body chemistry" stuff is crap), I have really grown to LOVE it! The color is beautiful, but you have to be careful when you apply it. The more you put on, the more intense the color becomes. So I just put one quick swipe on my top and bottom lip and that's it. And the result is the perfect glossy, see-through, rosy pink which really flatters my skin tone (NC30 if you're curious). The color gives life to my face. I also like to really layer it on til it's bright, and then put a lighter, milky pink gloss over the top..it's stunning. And the other great thing about this is how long lasting it is. It's almost like a stain and it moisturizes for hours. This is one of the few truly moisturizing lip balms I've tried. I will no doubt repurchase, it is a fabulous product. Although it is somewhat gimmicky (like all of these "color reacting" lip products are), it is super high quality and leaves me with the perfect effortless pink lip. My advice is to use it with a light hand.

Eyeliner -Smashbox - limitless eyeliner
rated 5 of 5
pink1223 12/15/2010 12:27:00 AM

I looooove this liner! I have definitely tried my fair share of eyeliner pencils and this one is the BEST. I've used UD 24/7, Stila Kajal, MUFE aqua eyes, Sephora waterproof liner, Milani Liquif'eye, Revlon colorstay.....and the list goes on. I actually got this liner in a little sample bag from Sephora, and tried it on a whim one Saturday morning. I was impressed when I applied it as it went on smooth but wasn't too soft. It's not extremely soft like Milani Liquifeye or Stila Kajal, but it is definitely not a hard pencil. It is very pigmented, and a deep matte black (I have Onyx). The staying power far surpassed what I imagined. I remember looking at the mirror around 11pm (at least 13 hours had passed) that night and it hadn't budged. Sold! I've been wearing it every day for over a week now and it hasn't let me down..I just ordered a full size one. I've never had a pencil with staying power like this. Smashbox isn't my fave brand and I've had a lot of 'misses' with their products, but this liner is a very welcome surprise. I want to mention that after I apply this (or any other pencil liner) on my waterline and upper lash line, I go over it with MAC carbon eyeshadow with a stiff angled brush. I do it with all of my liners because it makes it last even longer and it adds a more smoldering effect. Try this liner! If you've tried almost everything out there and it's all let you down, let this be your last resort.

Lip Gloss -Cat Cosmetics - Cat & Mouse Lipgloss
rated 2 of 5
pink1223 10/7/2010 7:18:00 PM

this is the only product I've purchased from Cat Cosmetics, and I have to say it's left a bad first impression on me :( This lipgloss duo (on me) creates the typical porn star lips...perhaps some would love it for that reason! It's just waaay too frosty looking. I tried many different combos and layered this with other things, but too no avail. The light pink alone is silvery frost city and the gold alone is...golden frost city. They look bad together too. I'm sad because I had such high hopes for this product and wanted to love it! It just made me look dead. NC30-35 for reference. In closing, the one pro is the texture of the glosses. They feel great on the lips, not heavy or sticky AT ALL. And the lasting power is great.

Eyeliner -Milani - Liquif'eye Metallic eye liner pencil -black
rated 5 of 5
pink1223 9/17/2010 8:52:00 PM

This liner is great! It's been a long time since I've found a liner that's impressed me this much! I've worn this on the waterline and upper lash line every single day since I bought it. The longevity of this product is amazing! It stays the whole day (even the waterline) with no smudging. I do go over it with MAC carbon eyeshadow though, which I do with all of my liner pencils because 1) it helps it last all day, and 2) it takes the harshness of a pencil away and blurs any imperfections, making a more smoldering look :) Anyway, it applies SO smoothly! No tugging at all. And, once it sets, it's there to stay. I'm so happy I found an inexpensive HG liner! And for the record, I've tried Stila Kajal, UD 24/7. and MUFE Aqua Eyes, all of which are blown out of the water by Milani Liquifeye! oh and by the way, this is not a metallic black at all! It doesn't have any shimmer. ***EDIT*** I still like this liner but I've moved on to much greener pastures (i.e. Smashbox Limitless Eyeliner in Onyx..it's AMAZING).

Hair Styling Tools -Goody - Spin Pin
rated 5 of 5
pink1223 7/4/2010 1:45:00 AM

I love these things! I have fine, soft hair so it's hard to get it to stay in a bun. But not with the Spin Pin! I don't use a ponytail holder at all and when I use both pins, my bun won't move the whole day. I work in a restaurant and move around a lot and I had no worries throughout my shift that my hair was going to fall out of my bun. Great product! I highly recommend!

Makeup Brushes -Unlisted Brand - Studio Tools Crease Brush
rated 5 of 5
pink1223 4/20/2010 1:32:00 AM

This is the best blending brush, and the price is unbeatable. Super soft, perfect tapered shape, washes well..what's not to love? I'm going to buy another one next time I go to Target. You've gotta try this brush! And, if you don't like it, you've only wasted $1.99. This is quite the under hyped gem. Highly recommend :)

Shampoo -Batiste - Dry Shampoo
rated 5 of 5
pink1223 3/28/2010 2:26:00 AM

I don't know how many cans of Batiste I've bought at this point, probably 20 and going strong. It is THE BEST and helps me to get by so many days without washing my hair! I have really long hair so I hate taking the time to do it. I just shake the can and spray in sections at the root, then massage in with my fingers, then brush through. And voila! Clean hair. Seriously this is a lifesaver and HG product for me. It does spray out white and can leave a grey-ish tint to your hair, but if you really brush it well you can't even detect it. Once it really settles in, it's invisible. My hair is really dark brown and it's never been a problem for me. Go buy this at your local Sally's and you won't be sorry.

Eye Shadow -Sally Girl - Espresso
rated 4 of 5
pink1223 3/28/2010 2:18:00 AM

Wow, I'm surprised to see the bad reviews on this shadow, because I love it! It is a nice chocolate brown with some reddish tones in it. I am nc30-35 for reference. I use a 224 and just use this all over the lid for a daytime smokey look. The pigmentation is good, and the quality is amazing for how dirt cheap these shadows are! Definitely your skin tone should be taken into account when buying any shadow, so go to Sally's and check them out yourself :) I highly recommend this shade, though.

Eye Makeup Remover -Make Up For Ever - Sens Eyes
rated 5 of 5
pink1223 2/5/2010 2:09:00 AM

I, too, got this in the Best of MUFE set from Sephora. I didn't try it forever because I just didn't really care to use it tbh. I have to say now that I have used it for a few weeks that I LOVE it. It reminds me very much of my beloved Nivea eye makeup remover that has been discontinued. It's a lotion consistency and it's not greasy at all. And, it melts off my makeup amazingly! I'm very impressed with this and I'm planning on buying the full size bottle when I run out.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Carbon Black Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner
rated 5 of 5
pink1223 1/21/2010 12:45:00 AM

I love this liner, it is an excellent dupe of one of my favorites, Lancome's artliner. It's one of the best liquid liners for beginners to use! It has a flexible felt tip; it's very user friendly. If you're looking for an excellent liquid liner, look no further! Buy this :)

This is my favorite bath and body works scent! I love vanilla anyway but this is the best vanilla scent of them all, imo. It sells out every year, I had to buy mine on ebay this year. My advice is get it asap when it comes around next christmas :) It moisturizes fabulously and smells warm and delicious. Love it!

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Lip Lites- Cappuccino
rated 5 of 5
pink1223 1/11/2010 1:00:00 AM

I think this might be my most repurchased lipgloss ever when I really think about it. Discovered this in high school and I've used it off and on ever since! It's a gorgeous, milky nude that smells and tastes divine. The texture is wonderful too, it's not sticky at all but has pretty good staying power. It doesn't gunk up in the corners of the mouth or dry out the lips either. And, it's like 3 bucks. This is FABULOUS lipgloss.
